Chapter 151

Jenny might have been incredibly famous once, but the public would never see her again.

Colt asked excitedly over the phone, "What kind of person is Uncle George, Suzy?"

Suzy raised her eyebrows. "What do you mean?"

Colt said with a laugh, "I went back to Berry yesterday afternoon to pick up a couple of things, but the security guard stopped me from going in. They said that their boss was very angry and wanted us to pay for all the losses or that he might even sue us. Unexpectedly, after one night, my friend called me over and their boss was personally waiting for me outside the company. He was incredibly friendly and said that we don't have to pay for the damages anymore. Plus, he even doubled our salary for the previous painting we did, saying that it's to compensate for our mental distress."

He continued to laugh in disbelief. "My parents don't have a clue about this matter, so it must've been your uncle who gave us a hand. Not to mention, Jenny's matter had gone viral. It must've been your Uncle George's doing. He's so amazing!"

Suzy lowered her long eyelashes as her eyes flickered. "Well, she must've gone too far this time, so it's time for retribution."

"In any case, this is all because of your Uncle George, so thank him in my stead." Colt smiled heartily

"By the way, Berry's boss gave us three grand. We've agreed to divide it equally, right? I'll transfer the money to you later, and if possible, I'll take you out for a meal tonight. Invite Uncle George as well."

Suzy said with a small smile, "Let's do it another day. I have a date with another friend of mine, and my-Uncle George, well, he also has something to do at night."

"Then I'll buy you and your friend dinner. We can invite Uncle George out another day!" Colt immediately added, "It's settled, then. See you tonight!"

After he was done talking, he hung up the phone.

When Suzy was heading out, Nelly was setting out breakfast. "Come quick I made your favorite sandwich and tea with milk."

Surzy smiled and said, "Someone wants to invite us to dinner. Do you have time this evening?"

Nelly raised her head in surprise, "Who?"

Slzy took a sip of lea and answered, "II's a classmate of mine who did the painting with me. We got our wagas today, and he wants to treat us."

"Sure thing!" Nelly irsponded while smiling meaningfully. "Does bue have a crush on you?"

Suzy took a bite of the sandwich, and her face was calm as usual. She said in a low voice, "No."

Nelly giggled. "Don't be so certain. If not, why is he so eager?"

Suzy shook her head disapprovingly. "You're overthinking this."

Seeing Suzy act this way, Nelly started to think that Suzy truly did not have any interest in being in a relationship. She smiled. "Then I'll be back earlier in the afternoon."

In the evening, Suzy and Nelly came to the agreed restaurant on time at the Champs Elysees' West Bank. Nelly looked up and gasped. "The food here must be very expensive. Is that classmate of yours about to spend all the money he earned?"

After spending a few days with Colt, Suzy had gotten to know him a little bit. She knew that his parents were in the business industry, and his family was not short of money. Hence, the painting job was purely for him to pass time and experience more in life.

When the two were talking, Colt came over on a motorcycle. He took off his helmet and smiled handsomely. "Sorry I'm late."

He looked at Nelly and said with a smile, "Is this the friend you were talking about, Suzy? Sure enough, a beautiful girl would definitely be friends with another beautiful girl!"

Nelly smiled and introduced herself, "My name is Nelly Qualls."

"Colt Schmidt," he said while smiling brightly. "I'll have to park my bike. I'll be right back."

When Colt went to the parking lot, Nelly raised her eyebrows at Suzy with a hint of urgency in her eyes. "So, your friend's a handsome guy, huh? It seems like I was right."

Suzy smiled, and when she was about to turn around to speak, she looked into the distance and saw George walking toward West Bank with a few friends beside him.

Probably sensing her gaze, George turned his head to look over. His gaze flitted past the noisy crowd and the bright lights, meeting Suzy's eyes,
