Chapter 153

George put out the cigarette in his hand in the ashtray. He folded his legs on top of each other. He had a gentle and noble temperament. "I had a prior engagement beforehand, so it would've been rude to postpone it. I'll take you kids out to a meal another day."

Colt hurriedly said, "No way. You've helped us out big time, so I should be the one thanking you!"

"There's no need to be so polite!" George looked at the smiling boy in front of him. "Are you and Suzy in the same course?".

Colt smiled and said, "No, I'm from the foreign language department."

George nodded slightly. Then, his eyes deepened as he asked, "Do you like Suzy?"

Colt was startled and immediately shook his head. "No, you've misunderstood. Suzy's incredibly nice and she's excellent in every way, but we're just ordinary friends!"

"How about Suzy?" George asked.

Colt smiled and said, "I think she merely regards me as a university mate of hers."

George unhurriedly continued, "Her parents aren't in River City, so I'm the one taking care of her. I told her before that she's not allowed to date in college, so I'm being precautious."

Colt nodded and said, "I get it. Rest assured, we're not in that sort of relationship."

George smiled and said gently, "That's good to hear! So, Suzy's having dinner with you? Then you should get going now. Don't make her wait any longer!"

"I won't be bothering you as well!" Colt got up.

"By the way, don't mention that you bumped into me to Suzy," said George lightly.

"I got it!" Cole smiled brightly at him and added, "See you next time, Uncle George!"

"Mm!" George nodded slowly.

After Colt left, George got up, walked to the elevator, and went to the third floor.

Meanwhile, Colt returned to the private room and did not mention his encounter with George. He continued to talk and jest around with the two girls on their previous topic.

They had a pleasant meal, and Colt went over to get the bill, only to replace out that someone had already paid for it. He was startled and quickly realized that it must have been George who settled the bill.

He went back to look for Suzy and Nell. Before saying anything else, Colt said with a sincere smile, "Your uncle's so kind to you, Suzy!".

Suzy was startled, wondering what his sudden odd words meant.

Colt did not say anything else and asked, "Want me to take both of you back?"

As the air between them was pleasant, Colt was reluctant to end the night and thought about going to the bar to grab a drink with the girls after dinner. However, after his encounter with George earlier, he knew that George was rather strict with Suzy. Hence, he changed his mind.

"No need. How will you send us both home on a bike? We'll just take a cab," said Suzy with a warm smile. "I'll treat you to a meal another day!"

"Okay, sure! Let's get another meal next time!"

The three said goodbye to each other before Suzy and Nelly took a cab back to Royal Court. Colt rode on his bike and went home as well.

Suzy and Nelly got home. After taking a bath, they sat in the living room and watched a movie while eating ice cream. They occasionally chatted about tonight's dinner and Colt.

Halfway through the movie, the screen on Suzy's phone that was on her right-hand side lit up. An eagle head symbol flashed a few times before gradually disappearing.

Suzy picked up her phone and got up. "You go ahead and watch first. I have something else to attend to!"

Nelly waved her hand. "Go ahead. No need to worry about me!"

Suzy turned around and went into her bedroom. She turned on her phone and opened the application with the eagle head. The screen of the phone flashed, and a password box appeared.

She entered the password and immediately entered the mission homepage.

At the same time, the two colored eagle heads at the top of the home page also lit up. "You're online?" Goshawk's baby-like voice was full of excitement.
