Suzy pushed the door open and entered. The study was incredibly large with a large floor-to ceiling window facing the front. One could see the lawn in the yard from here. George's desk was on one side of the floor-to-ceiling window, and on

the opposite side was a whole row of mahogany bookshelves.

At this moment, George was sitting behind the desk and reading some documents. When he turned his head to see Suzy, there was a hint of surprise in his eyes as if he did not expect Suzy to ever come up to see him.

He was wearing the black shirt he wore when he went out with her in the morning. Two buttons were left open at the neckline. There was a hint of laziness in his indifference.

"Mr. Laine." Suzy closed the door, took two steps forward, and put the papers on the table." These are Ean's test papers for this month. Please have a look at them."

George picked them up and flipped through the papers. He nodded and said, "Not bad. He's learning well, and you've taught him well." "Thank you for your compliment." Suzy smiled and handed over the watch box. "This is for you from Ean."

"What is it?" Ean took it and opened it up.

The moment the wooden box was opened, Suzy saw a black thing rushing out. It leaped toward George's face. It had a mouth and was even letting out a small chatter, which was more

frightening than the ghosts in the horror movie she watched last night. Suzy widened her eyes in horror. Before thinking about it, she rushed over to grab it back. George jolted in startlement as well. He raised his hand to throw the wooden box out but saw black smoke coming out of the black-faced monster's mouth. His face changed slightly as he threw the wooden box, reached out, and grabbed Suzy into his arms.

Suzy lay on the man's chest in trepidation. She turned to look at the wooden box and saw that the black-faced monster was still smiling, but the black smoke had dissipated.

There was three seconds of silence in the room, then they were only left with the laughter coming from the grotesque monster.

At this moment, it no longer sounded terrifying but rather funny. Suzy was still lying in the man's arms. Their heartbeats coincided, and the rhythm was chaotic. They had no clue whose heartbeat was faster.

The laughter from the wooden box finally stopped. Just as Suzy was about to get up, her chin was suddenly pinched by the man.

"I now wonder if you have a grudge against me, Is that why you fool around with me with these kinds of things again and again?"

Suzy raised her head with innocent eyes. "If I tell you that I was deceived by Ean, will you believe me?"

Their eyes were fixed on one another, and the distance between them was so close. The man's eyes were dark, and his lips were curled into a slight smile. "So, you didn't do this on

purpose?"

"Of course not!" Suzy scoffed and continued to mutter softly, "Why would I dig a grave for myself?"

The man looked into her eyes, got closer, and said in a low voice, "If you don't have any grudges against me, perhaps there's something you're dissatisfied with?" Suzy's face was burning hot. She lowered her eyes and said, "No."

"Since we're doing it for happiness, let's communicate in time if there's something we're not satisfied with, hmm?" The man's voice was low, and the tone in his last word had risen slightly, which was heart-wrenching. "There truly isn't!" Suzy emphasized, raising her eyes to meet the man's smiling gaze again. She realized what she had insinuated and immediately blushed a crimson color. Even her fingertips were going numb. "I'll go over tonight," whispered the man. Then, he lowered his head to kiss her. It was a light kiss that merely lingered on her lips like a patient angler. He kept probing the bait, waiting for Suzy to open her mouth voluntarily before he went to catch the little pink fish. Suzy closed her eyes, and she felt like a fish back in water. There was an indescribable sense of joy.

She had to admit that the man's kissing skills were getting better and better. It was like a team battle game, where he could be the main attacker or the support. He would give her gentleness or fanaticism at the right time.

Even if this was not the intimacy shared between couples, it still felt great.

Therefore, whenever she was kissing the man, $uzy always had the illusion that she was deeply loved by him. It would take her a long time to recover from this illusion and regain her senses.

For example, the deep kiss was over now, but she was leaning on the man's shoulder and breathing slowly. The sunlight fell on her face through the bright floor-to-ceiling window, and her eyes were dazed. Suzy became lazy and unwilling to get up, thinking that this embrace really belonged to her. George wrapped his arms around her waist, waiting for her to calm down. Suzy took deep breaths, and her eyes gradually became clearer. She should get going now. Otherwise, Ean would suspect that she had been reduced to ashes by his uncle.

George lowered his head slightly, his voice lazy and magnetic as he said, "I have something to do at night, so I'll be late. Wait for me." There was another thump in Suzy's calm heart again. She did not dare to stay a second longer and nodded slightly. Then, she got up. Without looking at him, she walked straight out the door.

After opening the door and going out, Suzy subconsciously raised her hand and touched her lips. She tidied the traces left by the man. Meanwhile, the oncoming servant was bringing Sena up to the third floor. Seeing Suzy

standing at the door of the study, Sena's face suddenly sank.
