With that, she walked out of the room.

Dr.

Burton immediately opened the door and asked, “Can you teach me how to do that?”

Dr.

Burton lifted his arm, mimicking Hannah’s motion of checking a pulse.

He was genuinely intrigued by her ability to assess someone’s health simply by feeling their wrist.

Smiling faintly, Hannah remarked, “You have plenty of time, don’t you, Dr.

Burton? Please make sure to document my father’s condition daily.”

Dr.

Burton nodded and said, “As Mr.

Compton’s primary physician, it’s my duty.”

The prescribed treatment appeared correct, and Hannah felt a sense of ease.

Next on her agenda was handling Remington’s horse racing event.

Knowing that a large entourage would be unnecessary, Hannah decided to bring only Dotson along.

After staying up all night on guard, Hannah set off with Dotson to Remington’s estate.

It was the opening day of the horse race, mainly meant for guests to relax.

By the time they arrived, many were still yet to show up.

Hannah glanced at the guest list displayed outside.

As expected, the Juarez and Delgado families were absent, replaced by a few lesser-known ones.

Many attendees had brought along their daughters and other relatives, but they exuded an air of superiority and barely acknowledged Hannah and her companion.

They viewed Hannah as being somewhat beneath them.

A butler escorted Hannah and Dotson inside the mansion, where they sat and waited for more guests to arrive.

Soon, there was a commotion in the distance, and a sleek black Rolls -Royce pulled up.

Hannah peered through the window at the lavish car and raised an eyebrow.

She identified it as belonging to the Pierce family.

Maloney seemed to be making quite a statement this time.

However, when the door opened, Hannah was taken aback.

It wasn’t Maloney who stepped out, but another young man.

Frowning slightly, Hannah couldn’t help but wonder why Maloney wasn’t the one arriving for the horse racing.

“Hannah!”

Peterson appeared from upstairs, visibly pleased to see Hannah.

“I’ve been waiting for you to show up.”

Hannah nodded but gazed at the man following Peterson down the stairs.

He was strikingly attractive, with chiseled features and light green eyes that were both deep and enigmatic, resembling a mysterious ocean, drawing anyone in with their allure.

This was the initial impression people had of Remington.

He approached Hannah and remarked, “You arrived early today.

Would you like to take a walk?”
