Still smiling, Hannah discreetly pinched his arm!

“Ouch…” Maloney winced slightly but managed to smile at her.

“Something held me up.

Don’t be mad, honey.”

Giggling, Hannah replied, “Hehe.

How could I be angry with you? It’s just that I’ve been waiting too long.”

Observing the duo, Leif’s eyes widened in shock.

“Maloney, is she your fiancee from Cadilind? Unbelievable!”

Maloney met Leif’s stare with a cold look.

Placing a hand on Hannah’s shoulder, he replied, “And if she is? Any issues with that?”

The expressions of those around them changed instantly!

Remington’s face darkened slightly.

Though Peterson’s grin remained, his eyes now looked icy and were focused on Maloney’s hand on Hannah’s shoulder.

Shaking his head, Leif said through gritted teeth, “No, I wouldn’t dare have any issues!”

Despite his words, Leif’s expression betrayed a lingering curiosity about Hannah.

Maloney chuckled and wrapped his arm around Hannah’s shoulders.

“I’m sure you won’t need me to accompany you? Because my fiancee needs me.”

Maloney’s words clearly signaled to Leif that he should stay away from Hannah.

Peterson stepped forward and said, “Mr.

Pierce, since you’re not yet familiar with this place, let me show you around so you can get acquainted with the environment.”

“Then I want to go as well!” Leif exclaimed, ignoring Maloney’s earlier words.

Let’s go together.”

He turned to Hannah and Maloney with a smile.

“How about we all go have some fun together? Do you mind?”

When they finally emerged, Hannah was accompanied by Maloney, Peterson, and Leif.

Hannah gently tugged Maloney aside, falling a few steps behind the others.

“Why did Leif come?” she asked.

“This is the trouble I mentioned earlier.

It’s difficult to explain in just a few words.”

Raising an eyebrow, Hannah glanced at Leif’s back and asked, “How could he affect you? I don’t think he is a smart man, does the Pierce family want to make him the heir?”

Maloney replied, “Well, you are partly right.

He’s a typical dandy with no real skills.

However, his father’s business has been thriving recently, which makes him look good in front of my grandfather.

Moreover, since I went to Cadilind with you before, he and his father put on a good show in front of Grandpa.

This didn’t concern me much at first, but recently his father has tried to interfere with my father’s property.

That’s why I had to come back to address the issue.”

Upon hearing Maloney’s explanation, a faint smile touched Hannah’s lips.
