Trapped I can't escape from the Billionaire -
Chapter 134
The luxurious car driven by both Marco and Letta finally came to a stop at a mansion with a distinctly strong European style, leaving Letta unsure of what to comment.
"Whose house is this?" Letta asked, making Marco smile as he pulled her waist to walk towards her. As Marco began to step forward, taking Letta through the grand door in front of them, several servants bowed to welcome their arrival. Not to mention several guards carrying the bags they brought. They had now arrived in Chicago, and Marco immediately brought her to his luxurious mansion.
"This is the house where we will be staying for some time to come," Marco said, causing Letta to look at her husband who was smiling at her.
"This is your house?" Letta asked again, making Marco just look at her as if he didn't want to answer her question. This made Letta sigh in frustration. However, Marco paid no attention to her persistent curiosity. Letta sometimes wondered just how wealthy her husband was.
"Where are we going?" Letta asked again, as they entered an elevator. Letta didn't know if this could be called a house or rather a 5-star hotel. However, even if it were a hotel, there weren't many people or too many staff members passing by. There were only a few uniformed servant guards.
"We need to rest first, we'll go to our room," Marco said again, causing Letta to shake her head.
"Yes, at least explain to me where we are and what kind of place this is so I can feel comfortable staying here," Letta said, making Marco smile.
"I'll explain later, there's still time. So for now, let's see our main room first. I'll introduce it first, starting from our room," Marco said, making Letta unable to refuse. When the elevator stopped, on some unknown floor, they headed down a corridor where there was a door that seemed to be their room.
"We're here," Marco said, then he opened the large door, which immediately made Letta look at him with an incredulous expression.
"Are we going to occupy this room together?" Letta asked, making Marco truly smile at his wife's expression.
"Do you think we should share the bed with the servants here?" Marco asked again, but Letta didn't listen to her husband's response. As Letta finally walked and gazed at the seemingly vast room, the room that directly faced a lake made Letta's eyes widen as if words couldn't express her current amazement.
"How do you like it? Do you like it?" Marco asked as he walked closer and embraced his wife from behind.
"This is more than like. Where did you replace a place as beautiful as this?" Letta asked again, making Marco just smile.
"You know, I do love beauty, so it wasn't too difficult to replace a place like this, although, yes, it did cost me a considerable amount of money," Marco said, causing Letta to turn to her husband.
"Can you also buy a diamond company?" Letta asked, making Marco nod.
"I am just about to collaborate with a company in that field. Diamonds, gemstones, and antique stones are very attractive assets," Marco proudly stated, making Letta just gaze at her husband in silence.
"Are you even human? Why do you seem to master everything in this world: wealth, power, and also handsomeness?" Letta said, making Marco burst into laughter.
"Did you just finish watching your latest drama movie? Because those words don't seem familiar coming from my wife," Marco retorted, making Letta smile.
"Yes, I often hear them in the dramas I watch, even in some books. You're like a CEO that everyone is after," Letta added, making Marco just smile in response to his wife's words.
"Well, let's just assume it's like that. Am I not like a character from a fiction world existing in the real world?" Marco added, making Letta nod.
"And I'm like a Cinderella who married this handsome CEO," Letta said, making Marco tighten his embrace.
"You are currently the queen in my heart," Marco said, making Letta hold back her smile.
"Did you just say something sweet?" Letta asked, making Marco nod.
"Yes, I'm not really good at putting together words that sound beautiful, like poetry or anything like that. But well, this is how I am, usually I just say what's in my heart and mind," Marco said, causing Letta to finally turn to look at her husband. Letta reached out her hand, pulling Marco closer, making Marco smile.
"So, is my Cinderella going to kiss me now?" Marco asked again, making Letta fall silent for a moment.
"No, I just want to see myself in your mesmerizing eyes," Letta said while gazing deeply into Marco's eyes.
"Why is that?" Marco asked.
"I want to know if you're telling the truth or lying," Letta said, making Marco silent for a moment before quickly kissing Letta's lips, causing her to blink her eyes.
"That's just nonsense. One cannot tell if someone is lying or not from their eyes," Marco said, making Letta look at him with a displeased expression.
"Yes, I know. But at least don't contradict what I say. It's something I often hear too, in books and dramas," Letta said, making Marco nod.
"I guess I should cut back a little on watching those dramas for my wife," Marco said, making Letta shake her head.
"No, especially not in the future. You said you'd be busy, so there will be no entertainment for me except watching dramas or reading books. Never ruin my mood," Letta said, making Marco smile as he finally pulled Letta into his embrace. "Sure, whatever it is, as long as you don't start daydreaming excessively or using words I don't understand," Marco said.
"Who's using words you don't understand? I'm just using simple words," Letta said, making Marco about to speak again, before placing her index finger on her husband's full lips.
"Okay, stop commenting on all the shows I watch and the books I read. It's better now, explain everything in this room to me. It's too spacious. Well, it's not surprising, considering this house is also very, very big. Surely the rooms inside will be this big too. But what I can't wrap my head around is that when you're busy with your work, I'll be alone in this big house. That's going to be very boring," Letta said with her playful whining, making Marco finally reach for her palm and kiss it gently.
"That's why I chose this place. So that you can be comfortable here. The facilities are very comprehensive. There's a cinema, a salon, a boutique, a swimming pool, a gym, a greenhouse. You can do anything here without having to leave the house," Marco said, leaving Letta speechless.
"Are you serious?" Letta asked, making Marco look at her seriously again.
"What's serious about it?" Marco asked again.
"Everything you mentioned earlier, the facilities here, are they really in this house?" Letta asked, making Marco nod.
"That's why I chose this place, so you wouldn't get bored," Marco said, leaving Letta silent with her sense of amazement.
"But that's not the point. I just want to live like in a hotel. Maybe a small room, but it can allow me to wander around this country. That's what I want," Letta said, making Marco fall silent, pondering his wife's wish.
