Chapter 209

Chapter 209

Tony drummed on the steering wheel with his finger. Finally, the traffic lights turned green, and he gave asignal, ready to make a turn as he stepped on the gas. Suddenly, a car from behind dashed forward asTony still had not completely made that turn. The driver wanted to be the first in line.

In a split second, Tony had no choice but to turn the steering wheel in the opposite direction for safetypurposes. He wanted to turn the car back.

Both Sean and Molly were not prepared for this in the backseat, so Molly fell to her left uncontrollably.

In order to protect her, Sean held on to the seat with one arm and wrapped his other arm around hershoulders, making them lean toward each other. Molly was in his arms when her face flushed. She couldsmell Sean’s faint cologne and his personal scent. Next to her ears was his strong heartbeat, and eachheartbeat felt like it was pounding on her heart. Their position in such a tight space was the air reallyflirtatious. Sean’s breath changed as well since he was probably not used to it still. When his fingertipstouched Molly’s shoulder, his fingers felt hot, and his eyes started to darken. Molly was feeling extraawkward. Her hands were on his chest, and she wanted to push him away when she suddenlyremembered that she was the one who fell on him! ‘He won’t misunderstand this ‘as me hugging him, right?!’

Molly was momentarily stunned as her hands stopped. She felt the warmth in her palms, and her earshad turned red like a peach that was tender and enticing. ‘This is over for me. He probably thinks I’m apervert that makes a move on him whenever I can!’

Molly was so embarrassed that she did not know where to put her hands. She wanted to pull her handsaway, but they felt so heavy that she could not move them.

Her heart was pounding loudly, and her nervous breath was tense. She kept her head lowered, so shecould only see the color of his blouse from the light behind him. When she looked up, she could see hisfair neck and his face.

Molly did not dare to look at him as her heart was a mess. She just froze stiffly in place.

Sean’s ears were pink, and his breath was messy for a while. He could feel Molly’s touch on his chest, which was just like a soft cloud. She pushed him gently, and it felt flirtatious.

He looked down at the woman that was frozen-stiff in his arms. A few strands of hair were on his neck, and it was making him itch. His calm heart fluttered. He pulled his arm back and said, “Sorry about that.”

Tony was focused on driving, so he did not notice what had happened in the backseat. He immediatelyturned back to the other lane after that driver left, not giving the cars behind hiin a chance to cut the line.

Molly was instantly relieved as she sat up straight and let out a deep breath. “It’s alright. I just didn’t sittight.” She looked out the window, pretending to watch the scenery.

When they reached the hospital, Caitlyn had already prepared their check-up for them. Molly went toarrange the procedures after getting someone to bring Sean in. Sean was taken to the ward and helpedonto the sickbed as he waited patiently. After some time, the door opened.

It was Sean’s first-time seeing Molly in a professional and formal outfit. She was wearing a white coatthat covered her coldness, and she just looked neat. Her whole aura was different than before.

Molly set up the equipment professionally as she carefully ran through every check-up. At that moment,Sean felt like he was just another patient of hers. There were no small talks, and the check-up was donevery quickly.

It ended after two hours.
