It was silent in the room again, and no one answered Tristan. However, he didn't feel awkward at all and continued saying, "Just let me know if there's anything you want to buy, Yvette. I can get it for you now." Yvette was certain that he was up to no good. After all, no one would offer to be nice for no reason. "There's no need for that. I have my own money to buy things for myself."

He was stunned and felt slightly embarrassed.

"Do you need anything, Xav?"

Xavier didn't answer Tristan. Instead, he asked, "Why did you come?"

Tristan felt like he was being snubbed despite showing good intentions. However, he wasn't angry at all. "No reason in particular. Can't I visit you for fun?"

Yesterday, Shannon told Yvette to help with the decorations, so she left after letting Xavier and Tristan know about it. After she had left, Xavier looked even more upset. "If there's nothing else, go back." "Xav, you sure are breaking my heart. Aren't you going to get me at least a cup of coffee?"

Xavier didn't want to waste his time on Tristan and went upstairs.

With that, Tristan was left in the living room alone. Since he had just arrived, he didn't want to leave so soon. So, he sat on the couch and turned on the TV to watch something by himself.

The news was playing again, and he saw Daphne crying her eyes out. Suddenly, he became solemn. Hadn't Xavier locked her up in a mental asylum? When did she get out?

He couldn't sit still anymore and left the house. As he walked, he made a call. "You have half a day to bring Daphne to me."

In less than two hours, Daphne was taken back to Tirion Asylum. When the blindfold was taken off, she noticed that she had been taken back to somewhere familiar, and her pupils constricted. "I'm not crazy! Let me out of here now!" She was basically screaming.

At that moment, someone opened the door, and the bright light shone inside.

Tristan approached her in his leather shoes. He hated her even more than Yvette did. That was because he had believed her a lot back then and had listened to everything she had told

him.

However, she had treated him like a fool and lied to him!

When Daphne looked up at him, it took her a long time to see his face clearly. "Tris... Tris!"

She hugged his leg and said, "Tris, get me out of here now. You said you would always protect me."

When he saw her panicking, he

didn't think she was pitiful at all.

Instead, he coldly looked at her. "Are

you still thinking about using me at a

time like this, Daphne? The person I said would protect forever

Yvette, not you!"

When she heard his cold tone, she started crying. "But we've been friends for so many years. We're still friends, right?"

"Who are you to be my friend?"

Tristan scoffed. If they hadn't gotten

along for so many years, he

would've removed her from the face

of the Earth a long time ago. On the

end, he was still too soft.

When Daphne heard how cruel he was, she knew that he was the one who had brought her there. After all, since Xavier couldn't see anything, he had stopped caring about her. "Then, why did you bring me here? I already know that I was wrong."

"So what if you know that you were wrong? A crazy woman like you should just stay in the asylum and not disturb anyone else outside."

After he said that, he was prepared to leave. There was no way Daphne would want to stay in a place like that. She anxiously held him tight and stood up to kiss him.

"I know you've always liked me, Tris. Why don't we get together-"

Before her lips could get close to him, he pushed her away. "How disgusting." He walked to the door and said to his man, "Make sure she knows her place."
