Under the Veil I Rule
Chapter 122

"Hey, when you get married, let me know, alright? If I can make it, I'll be there. And if not, there'll still be a big gift coming your way."

Lucian quickly replied, "Thanks, Ama," snapping back into his usual serious self.

Amara asked a few questions about his girlfriend, with Keith listening in from the side. Once he realized this young man was off the market, an inexplicable sense of relief washed over him. What's going on with him?

He glanced up at Amara, her face partially hidden behind a mask that couldn't quite obscure her beauty, and found himself lost in thought.

Meanwhile, in Liliana's break room, she sat on the couch with Cedric, while Finnian stood by the window.

"Mr. Everly, Liliana, maybe we should just let this go. Amara, as the lead screenwriter for this show, has really put in a lot of work. Honestly, we can't do without her. And when she's here, she's mostly in the room, not always out watching the filming. How about I talk to her when I get the chance, suggest she keeps a lower profile and avoids bumping into you both too much. How does that sound?"

Cedric liked Amara quite a bit, and the whole situation had left him feeling pretty disgruntled with Finnian and Liliana. But these two were the big shots, and he couldn't afford to make them enemies, so he had to tread carefully.

Finnian stood at the window, his gaze fixed outside, his chiseled profile giving nothing away. Whatever he was thinking remained a mystery, his expression dark and brooding.

Liliana was still reeling, struggling to comprehend the situation. She never imagined that Amara, whom she considered ugly, would be connected to both Keith and Lucian. Not that she had any romantic interest in Keith; it just irked her to see Amara being defended by such accomplished people.

"Finn," she said, forcing down her jealousy and anger, standing up with a smile.

"I think Mr. Zade has a point. The crew really does need Ms. Sullivan. I was too narrow-minded before. Perhaps we should let her stay."

Ine

Liliana practically choked on her own fury as she spoke. She desperately wanted Amara gone, but hadn't anticipated the situation escalating to the point of no return. Keith and Lucian were serious about backing Amara. If she left, Keith might just quit too.

Keith had a massive family business and was a top-tier celebrity, having made a fortune over the years. He could afford the penalty for breaking a contract on one show.

And Keith's weight in the crew was heavier than anyone else's. If he left, Liliana would undoubtedly become the target of everyone's ire. Worse yet, she might even be dragged through the mud online.

To prevent that, she had to swallow her pride and suppress her wrath.

Cedric felt reassured by her words and then turned to Finnian. "Mr. Everly, what do you think?"

Finnian didn't even glance their way, his voice calm and detached. "Do as she says."

Cedric breathed a sigh of relief.

In the break room, Amara was chatting with Lucian and Keith when Cedric came knocking.

He greeted the two actors with

smile and turned to Amara. "Ama I've talked it over with Mr. Everly Your role here isn't changing. We'll carry on just as we have been. What do you say?"
