Under the Veil I Rule -
Chapter 175
The two of them had dinner together, took a photo as planned, and Keith went off to wash the dishes. By then, it was nearly nine o'clock, but he lingered around, reluctant to leave.
Amara was firm in her stance and eventually ushered him out. She then crafted a Facebook post, "Yes, we're together."
The post was accompanied by the photo they had just taken: a man embracing her from behind.
Even though the man's face was pixelated, anyone who knew them could tell it was Keith.
Amara's face was partially covered by a mask, but her eyes sparkled with happiness, giving her a distinctly joyful appearance.
After posting on Facebook, Amara turned off her phone, got washed up, and went to bed.
That night, she slept exceptionally well, not waking up once, and slept through to the bright morning light.
The next morning, she turned on her phone to replace it flooded with calls, messages, and WhatsApp notifications.
People were buzzing with curiosity about the photo she posted.
"Amara, are you dating someone? Wait, aren't you still married?"
"Who's the guy? Is it Keith by any chance?"
"Whoa, what's going on with you and Keith? Rumor has it you're together-is it true?"
Her friends reached out with questions, but Amara didn't reply to any of them. She simply deleted all the messages and headed to the shooting set.
She found it odd that she hadn't blocked anyone from the Everly family when she posted on Facebook. Normally, this would have caused a stir, and the Everly family should have some reaction.
Finnian hadn't sent a single message or made a call. It was peculiar.
But then again, what could Finnian do after seeing her Facebook post? Call her incessantly like a madman or send a barrage of angry texts?
That wasn't his style.
So, Amara decided to wait and see what would happen.
As she walked onto the set, she noticed the crew giving her curious glances.
Amara understood what they were thinking. They found it hard to believe that someone like her could be involved with Keith, given that most people saw them as worlds apart.
Ignoring the stares, Amara made her way inside.
On her way, she spotted Liliana and Finnian.
The two were standing by the cameras, Liliana chatting with Cedric, while Finnian's icy gaze was fixed on her.
Amara paused briefly before quickly averting her eyes and heading into the break
room.
She had just entered when there was a knock at the door, and she had a strange feeling it was Finnian.
Opening the door, she found him there, and asked, "What do you want?"
Finnian walked into the room and
tilted Amara's chin up with a
d
bone-chilling voice. "What was that Facebook post about? You don't want to split with him?"
Amara was forced to look up at Finnian.
Only then did she notice his stern expression and the dark circles under his eyes, indicating a restless night.
She kept her gaze lowered. "No, I don't."
She didn't look into Finnian's eyes, but she felt his fingers tighten around her chin.
She let out a pained whimper and
jerked his hand away. "Mr. Everly, is this what you came to ask? I don't
wan to talk about it. Please leave."
This time, she wouldn't pursue Finnian about the divorce.
She wanted to take control, waiting for Finnian to feel embarrassed enough to initiate the divorce himself.
