Last night, Larry had mentioned over the phone that in two weeks, the Sullivan Group would be holding a shareholders' meeting. Depending on the situation, they might allocate some shares to Amara and her sister.

Larry was a man who valued family stability above all else, and no one knew this better than Amara. To gain more benefits, she needed to appear closer to Finnian.

Since the divorce cooling-off period hadn't ended yet, she figured she could secure the shares during this time and then proceed with the divorce from Finnian.

Finnian was oblivious to her plan, but the request seemed trivial to him. He was about to agree when he paused, suddenly realizing something, and shifted his tone. "And why should I help you?"

Amara was rendered speechless, thinking that asking for a favor was never easy. She thought for a moment, unable to come up with anything she could offer in return, feeling a bit stuck.

Seeing her conflicted expression, Finnian couldn't bear to tease her any longer and said, "Alright, don't worry about it. I'll do it."

"Really?"

Amara's eyes

up with surprise at how quickly Finnian agreed.

Finnian chuckled. "Of course. Just send me what I need to prepare."

There wasn't much to prepare for visiting the Sullivan family, just some gifts, which Amara had already taken care of. All she needed was to bring Finnian along.

After discussing things with Finnian, she stood up and left the office. As she stepped out, she encountered a well-dressed woman approaching. Both of them paused, taken aback for a moment.

This woman was Liliana. After a brief moment of surprise, Amara quickly regained her composure and walked past her without expression.

Liliana, however, blocked her path. "What are you doing here?"

"None of your business."

Amara couldn't be bothered to engage and simply sidestepped her, leaving without another word. Watching Amara's calm departure, Liliana bit her lip and entered the CEO's office.

"Finn."

As she walked in, she found Finnian going through some documents while snacking. Unfazed, she approached and asked, "Was Ms. Sullivan here? What did she want?"

Liliana's tone was casual, as if making small talk, knowing that was the best way to avoid raising any repulsion.

"Nothing much, just discussing some matters."

Finnian didn't elaborate, and Liliana wisely chose not to pry further, though her mind was already working on a plan to have someone keep an eye on things at the Everly Group.

Two days later, it was Larry's birthday, and Finnian accompanied Amara to the Sullivan family home.

Just before they left, Amara noticed that Finnian had also prepared agift for Larry, a thoughtful and expensive one. She could already imagine how much Larry would appreciate it.

Considering this, she decided to bring her own gift as well. After all, more gifts were always better, and she even thanked Finnian, "Thanks for getting a gift for my father."

"No need to thank me," Finnian replied with a sidelong glance. "He's my father-in-law."

The term "father-in-law" stung a bit for Amara, a reminder that Larry was Finnian's father-in-law, but soon he wouldn't be.

She pushed aside these useless thoughts and got into the car with Finnian. Half an hour later, they arrived at the Sullivan family estate. Will followed behind them, carrying the gifts, as Amara and Finnian walked in side by side.

As they were about to enter, Amara hesitated for a moment but then took Finnian's arm. The gesture was sudden, and Finnian stiffened slightly, instinctively glancing at her.
