Chapter 476 My Fiancé Will Get Angry

The clothes that Thalia was wearing were very formal. Alexa figured that Thalia had been at a dinner banquet.

But Thalia didn't even have an assistant by her side.

"Are you going back now?" Alexa asked.

"I think so."

Thalia sighed and suddenly changed the subject.

"I rented a place near the company. It's not far away from here."

"You aren't living with Finley?"

Thalia's eyes flickered.

She said vaguely, "We usually live together, but I have been busy recently, and he has a lot to deal with in the hospital."

"Oh..."

Alexa nodded doubtfully and helped Thalia into the car.

Thalia sent a message to her assistant and then suddenly asked.

"Mr. Ramsey, is Hudson Group planning to cooperate with Chuck as well?"

"Yes." Terrence nodded. "The price is still in discussion, but it is already within our expectations."

He was implying that there was still room for negotiation.

Thalia said bluntly.

"Then what about us? The price we offer is better than theirs."

Actually, for Terrence, changing or not wouldn't make a difference.

But Thalia was Alexa's friend, and he was more than happy to do Thalia a favor for Alexa's sake.

"You can sign the bid. Someone in charge will reach out to you tomorrow."

"OK. Thank you," Thalia said with a smile.

"Go back and get some rest. You drank a lot, didn't you?"

Alexa tightened the blanket on Thalia.

"Not a lot. I can hold my liquor."

"If Finley knew about this, you were bound to suffer."

"I know. So, don't tell him, OK?" Thalia pleaded.

"Did you talk after that?"

"We didn't have a chance." Thalia suddenly sounded relaxed. "Besides, it wasn't that serious."

Alexa did not respond.

When they arrived at Thalia's apartment building, Alexa personally sent Thalia up.

"Mr. Ramsey offered to cooperate with me. I'm very grateful for that," Thalia suddenly said. "We are now in transition, and a lot of clients don't want to work with us anymore."

"You are very capable. You can always think of something. What about the Duran Group?" Alexa asked.

"The Duran family is now after you and Keyon. I can't be part of it.

Besides, now that I've taken over the company, I should achieve

something big by myself. Right?"

Alexa knew Thalia's concerns.

Once Thalia cooperated with the Duran Group, the situation would be

more dangerous and stressful.

"Not to mention that... the wedding has been postponed."

Thalia was very upset.

"What does Finley say?"

"He always lets me have my way, and he doesn't tell me what he thinks."

"Take it easy."

Alexa chatted with Thalia for a while in Thalia's apartment.

The more Thalia spoke, the more excited she became. She drank another

half a bottle of wine.

Alexa could not stop Thalia. She could only stay by Thalia's side, watching

Thalia talk, cry, and vent her emotions.

Meanwhile, Terrence was waiting for Alexa downstairs in the car. Then Finley came here.

They got out of their cars and greeted each other.

"You are back from the hospital?"

"Yes. Is Thalia back?" Finley asked, looking a little tired.

"Alexa is upstairs with her. She's not in a good mood."

Finley was silent for a moment.

It seemed like this was not the first time Finley had dealt with such an

issue.

"You should talk to her," Terrence suggested. "It's up to you two to work

it out after all."

"The Crompton family has gotten mixed up as well."

Finley lit a cigarette for the first time, but he held it in his hand and did

not smoke.

"Her parents met me privately, and it seems to me that they're going

back on it."

"What?"

"When they put her in charge of the company, it was really a business marriage essentially." Finley's tone was as cold as ice. "The man they have chosen for her is called Chuck Wilder. They are negotiating now regarding cooperation."

In name, it was cooperation, yet in fact, Thalia was sold by her parents.

"The Crompton Group is not doing well at the moment, and Chuck happens to be willing to give them both money and resources. Also, Chuck's family background is much less complicated than mine," Finley said slowly.

"What are you going to do?"

"If she really wants to let go, then so be it..."

"She is very worried about you. She just had a drink and didn't want Alexa

to tell you, so you wouldn't worry," Terrence said.

Finley didn't know what to say for a second.

When he went upstairs, he happened to bump into Alexa at the door.

Alexa was not surprised.

Instead, she said in a low voice, "She was on the phone with her parents

and argued with them. Talk to her nicely and make her feel better."

"OK."

Finley nodded, naturally took out the key to open the door, and entered the apartment.

Thalia was still angry. When she heard the door open, she asked coldly.

"What are you doing here?"

"I'm here to see you."

"No need."

Thalia threw the bottle into the trash can and did not even glance at him.

"Where did you get the key?"

"It's the one you left in my study."

"I accidentally dropped it there." Thalia lowered her eyes unnaturally to

avoid his gaze. "Give it back to me."

"Why did you drink so much?"

Finley slowly walked up to her, his gaze cold as he looked at the mess on

the coffee table.

"I went to see Chuck tonight."

She said it loud and clear and stared at Finley, wanting to see his reaction.

There was no change in his expression.

Finley slowly rolled up his sleeves and began to tidy up the mess in front

of him.

"What did you talk to him about?"

"Business stuff."

Thalia propped up her head and lazily swept her gaze across his face.

"He asked me about my interests and asked me out."

Finley suddenly knelt on one knee in front of her, reached out, grabbed

her ankles, and put the slippers on for her.

"Alright. What else?"

His tone was still the same, but when he suddenly looked at her, there

seemed to be a layer of mist in his eyes.

Thalia felt the strength of his hands on her ankles increase slightly.

She looked at Finley without blinking and said slowly.

"He offered to give me a ride, but I said no."

"Why?"

"Because my fiancé will get angry." She tilted her head innocently.

Finley finally let go.

He got up and tidied up his clothes.

"Go take a bath and then go to bed early." "What about you?"

"I'm on duty at the hospital."

Thalia suddenly pulled a sullen face, and she picked up a pillow next to

her to smash it on him, venting her anger.

"Then why are you here? To see if I have been fooling around with some

other man?"

"That's not it."

Thalia was extremely frustrated, but when she saw him standing in front

of her so calmly, she suddenly felt stifled.

"Then go ahead and save lives, you great doctor," she said in a fit of

pique. "There's no one here for you to care about."

"What do you think of Chuck?"

She suddenly sneered.

"He has a career and connections, and he can help me a lot when it comes

to business. My parents like him so much," Thalia said gloomily.

The aura around Finley suddenly froze.

Until he opened the door and left, the atmosphere in the living room was

terrifyingly cold.

Thalia was so furious that she was awake the whole night.

Early the next morning, she received a call from Chuck.

"Are you free today?"

"I'm busy. I am busy every day," Thalia said grumpily. "I'm at your parents' place, and they asked me to call you back for lunch."
