"What's up?" Francis raised an eyebrow.

"I want my sister to be my tutor."

Francis paused for a moment.

After the last scare when James went 'missing,' Sylvia fell sick with worry, and subsequently, the previous tutor, Mr. Yang, was let go. Since then, replaceing a tutor became a top priority for Francis, especially one that James liked. So far, no luck. Francis let out a sigh, his brows furrowing, "You really like her that much?"

"Yeah." James nodded vigorously.

"Oh?" Francis was puzzled, "Why?"

Could this be the mysterious bond of blood relations? Some sort of familial intuition?

"Because..."

A profound expression appeared on James's youthful face, uncharacteristic for his age, "She doesn't look at Dad like the other teachers do."

His teachers, including Mr. Yang and the ones at school, seemed glued to his dad whenever they saw him. James added, "She doesn't like Dad!" Francis's face darkened, his lips twitching slightly, "We'll see!"

"Why?" James frowned, getting anxious, "Didn't you say we had to replace someone I like?"

"You like her?"

Having just been indirectly insulted by his son, Francis felt no need to spare his feelings. "She might not necessarily like you."

"What?" James was shocked, "How come? She's really nice to me, I think she likes me!"

"Kid, you're so naive!"

Francis scoffed, "Her being nice to you is just politeness. What she really thinks, now that's a different story."

James looked stunned and hurt.

"Alright..."

Seeing his son's dejected look, Francis softened, "I'll ask her, but don't get your hopes up too high."

James pouted, "Okay."

...

Tonight was Sherilyn's last day for the voice-over work. Exiting the recording studio, she bumped into Karol.

"Sherilyn?" Karol grabbed her excitedly, "Long time no see! How have you been?"

"Pretty good..."

"Are you leaving?"

Karol looked around, a mischievous smile on her face, "Are you alone? Mr. Johnson... ah, I mean, Mr. Harrison now..."

The Johnson family's Mr. Gilbert

f.n

turned out to be the lost pearl of the Harrison family, the talk of Sunhaven recently. It was the favorite gossip topic, marveling at how a family could tose track of their kin for so many years, and at the same time, envying Gilbert for leaving one wealthy family only to join another, truly born under a lucky star.

"Didn't see Mr. Harrison, is he waiting outside for you?"

Sherilyn shook her head, "No..."

"No?" Karol was stunned, her eyes darting around, "Could it be, you guys broke up?" "Sherilyn!"

Not wanting to discuss her

relationship with Gilbert, especially not with Karol, Sherilyn looked for an escape. Seeing Blake approaching, she quickly excused herself, "Blake's got something for me, you should get going too."

"Ah..."

Karol was reluctant but Sherilyn had already jogged over to Blake. Karol frowned and followed quietly...

...

"Sherilyn."

Blake wanted to discuss a new

show with her, "About the new show we mentioned last time, the producers are interested in having you as the second lead."

"Second lead?"

Sherilyn was surprised, "Is that... suitable?"

Being the second lead meant a significant role, but not the central character.
