Chapter 61

Frank was still deep in thought when he felt his phone vibrating and followed by Aria’s name popping into the screen. He didn’t bother to read it but instead_ he flipped the screen over.

He walked around his table and settled down on his seat with a deep scowl on his face. The cracking sound within his palm only announced his level of anger when he unknowingly snapped his pen into two without realizing it.

The last time he was that enraged over sometime was when he was left without a bride. He swore never to feel that way again until Aria creep into his life and eventually took over his heart as well.

His anger was directed more at that bastard who took advantage of her meekness for weakness.

Frank knew right from the onset that he was up to no good around her. The sinister look in his eyes whenever Frank would notice him looking at her has always been prove enough to dislike the guy with every fiber in his bone.

Two hours later, Frank was still having a hard time concentrating on work. His mind was pained and completely bittered. Heck, he feels like firing everyone for the slightest of mistakes.

When he couldn’t take it anymore he thought it would be best to just go home before he ends up ruining everything he has worked so damn hard for.

Frank was still arranging the last folder to put away when he heard a knock and followed with his secretary’s voice.

“What is it Gina” he spoke without looking up at her.

“Sorry to disturb you sir but someone is here to see you” she replied.

“Is he on appointment?”

“No sir but he was sent here on directive”

His head snapped up to look at her before asking_”whose directive?”

“He didn’t say sir but he’d mention it to be urgent and must see you”

Frank thought about it for a moment as he glanced at his watch.

“Did this person tell you his name at least?”

Frank watched in annoyance as she tried to crake her brain for answer.

“Just send him in Gina and stop wasting my time”

“Okay Sir”

Frank continued putting the folders away while he wait for whoever it was to walk right through.

His eyes widen in shock when a familiar figure just strolled into his office and stood an inch away from his desk.

Before he could react, his new companion said something and therefore, interrupting his next sentence.

“Thanks for seeing me Mr Okoji. I won’t take much of your time” he said simply with a hint of mockery in his voice.

Frank whose anger has morphed into naked rage got up on his feet before taking slow threatening steps towards the last person he was expecting to be seeing again for the second time in a day.

“What the hell are you doing in my office?”

Henry only chuckled at his question_His stance unmoving as he answered with careless shrug.

“You know why am here so let just skip the territorial dominance and go straight to the point shall we?” He uttered with confidence.

“Get out” Frank had barked at him.

“Gladly but not after you listen to me”

Frank took two more inches,closing the remaining gap between them_ leaving them in a nose length facing each other.

“You have just two minutes to get out of here before I do something we will both regret” he warned for the last time.

Henry answered with a shrug.

“I need just one minute and it’s simple” he took a quick pause to look at Frank’s raised brow. “Stay away from Aria. You don’t deserve her”

Frank who didn’t pick up on the abominable word he thought Henry had uttered only raised his brow in confusion as the word slowly registered in his mind before his anger resurfaced with a bang as he jerk forward and grab Henry by the collar.

“What the f**k did you just say to me?”

“The honest truth man. She is way happier without you because all you give her is pain and tears and even if she doesn’t admit it to herself. She deserves all the happiness in the world and i will give her every bit of it”

Frank who couldn’t hold back anymore threw the first punch landing on Henry’s nose as b***d began to rush from it_and notwithstanding the sight of pain and the b***d pooling down his nose_Frank had him pin to the nearest wall as he spoke through gritted teeth.

“I don’t deserve her? Who the f**k are you to tell me what I deserve and what I do not” he snarled angrily.

Henry on the other hand only laughed hysterically_ making Frank even more angry.

“You already lost her dude” he snicked causing Frank’s grip to tighten around his collar even more.

“Why do you think she let me stay the night with her last night huh? We both know she wants me just like I do her”

“You f*****g bastard. I should have broken your nose long ago when you looked at her with those cynical thoughts in your head. You even have the nerve to come in my office to phew crab from that gutter you call a mouth” he pulled him away from the wall and back at himself as he looked him straight in the eyes….” I’m going to say this once so you listen and listen real good. If I found out that you took advantage of my girl even in her sleep, you won’t live to tell the tale. Now get out”

Frank’d let him go with a push as he staggered all the way back and almost slipped on the tiles floor before steadying himself as he stood a good distance away from Frank.

Henry stood with a grimace on his face before spitting out b***d onto the floor with a smug taunting grin pulling the side of his l*p.

“You don’t know what’s coming do you?”

Henry had a cynical look in his eyes as he held his nose and readjusted the broken part.

“You are the one who should be careful with me. You are still in my office and I can have you arrested for trespassing. Now get out”

Henry held his gaze for a minute before retreating out of the door.

Frank heard Gina rushing in through the door in panic the moment Henry walked out the office with b***d stain on his nose and shirt.

“Everything alright sir?” Her gaze running all over his body in panic.

“Everything is fine Gina. I was just leaving”

He grabbed his briefcase and by pass Gina who had a shocked expression on her face.

“Lock the door on your way out” he called back at her before exiting the door.
