Wing Of Change
Chapter 89

Aria woke up and found herself lying in a rather soft bed with that feeling of being lost and out of place.

There was absolutely nothing familiar about where she was. The room has just little light and couple with the fact that she could barely look past the cushion seating at the foot of her bed without straining her eyes too much.

Her eyes still feels heavy and swollen like she has been asleep for too long._the numbness within her limps were fueling her fears and causing her to wonder if she could still use them or not.

This was actually the first time she has woken up without feeling like she needed to sleep some more.

Aria knew she was far from home. The thought alone was frightening enough.

She let her eyes shut down at it own will because of how overwhelmed she felt. She has no idea how long she has been out or lying down in that room.

She couldn’t tell the time even if she was asked but she could feel the buzz of panic that was starting to creep in with each breath she took.

She couldn’t even strain her eyes more than she already has especially not while she was still feeling dizzy.

The last thing she remembered was getting dragged away from the hospital bed before loosing consciousness and now she woke up in a strange bed.

She tried to push herself up in a seating position but fell back against the sheet. Her limps still felt weak and wobbly against the bed. She couldn’t call for help even if she wanted to. She was trapped and she knew it.

Her throat felt awfully dry and patchy with each struggle to swallow down against the rising fear. She needed to drink water before it got worst. Aria could already feel herself getting choked by her own fears.

She looked around the corner and found a jug of water seating at the table beside her bed and reached for it and quickly gulp down as much as she could before setting it back against the table.

She felt her stomach between her palms and sighed in relief. She was still pregnant. She thought to herself with a small smile. Her joy became sorrow when she remembered her husband and how worried he must have been because of her. Her entire family must be going crazy without knowing her whereabout.

She felt a bit of courage surge through her at the thought of everyone who loves her and forced herself into a seating position.

Aria knew she had to get out of there before whoever has her confined in that room returns. She pulled the sheet over and placed one feet over the edge of the bed_one at a time until both her legs were firmly placed against the floor in a seating position.

She noticed the change of clothe the moment it pooled at her feet. She doesn’t remember owning such outfit and much less if she wore it herself.

It was a silk orange loose gown that hugged onto her protruding stomach perfectly which only caused her to gasp at the thought of someone seeing her bare underneath.

The fact that she woke up dressed in an expensive piece of clothing and tucked into a rather comfortable bed and not tied to a chair was startling enough.

Her eyes darted from where she sat on the bed and towards the door momentarily before she finally made a decision to leave now that she could.

She was about to stand up straight when she heard someone ruffling against the door at the other end and decided to lie back down while pretending to be asleep.

She heard the door came apart and peeped through the covers and back at the figure who stood tall by the doorway before walking towards her.

Aria found herself holding her breath in but had to stop and breathe when she noticed he had walked towards the table instead before placing a black polythene bag beside the water jug.

The figure looked at her direction as if it could feel her eyes on him for a moment before moving to walk away but stopped midway across the door and flick on the light switch instead_causing the entire room to lit up.

Aria couldn’t resist the urge to look back at the figure hovering over her at this point on the bed. she opened her eyes one at a time and settled on the familiar face staring back at her with an amused expression.

She heard herself gasp in shock at the revelation. Too short of word to even say his name.

Maybe he wasn’t real and she was hallucinating.

And as if he could hear her secret thought_he cocked a brow at her and chuckle a bit before nodding at her in an encouraging manner.

“Well, go ahead and say something already. I know you have a lot to ask” His voice was calm and playful.

Aria couldn’t be any more confused than she already was. If she thought she has been imagining the face all along then the voice just made it worst. It was too real and uncanny to be just her imagination playing tricks with her mind.

She was too short for words that she couldn’t even summon the courage to say anything. She watched with wide eyes as he covered the distance from where he stood and seat beside her on the bed.

“C’mon Aria. I know you have every right to be angry at me but just say something. Don’t just keep quiet. Shout at me, hit me even but you have to stop staring at me as if I don’t exist because I do and am seating right here with you” his voice a gentle plea

She took a deep breath to steady her thought a bit before settling on the most pressing question in her head.

“What the hell am I wearing?”

He cocked a brow at her as if to say ‘of all the question you could have asked me, you choice to start with that?’ before replying either way. Not that he can actually pretend not to have heard her “You are putting on a dress”
