Standing next to Valerie Rae was Jasper Zac.

Like Valerie, Jasper first saw Skylar before he landed his gaze on Hendric, and finally on Coralie.

"Her doppelganger?"

Jasper asked Valerie.

Upon careful observation, Valerie shook her head. "No, it's Coralie herself."

The waiter led the two of them into the restaurant and settled on a table.

Valerie stared at Coralie and pretended to be sad. "It was not easy for Skylar to come to grips with her death and finally decided to start a new life. Why does she appear again? Why does she have to disturb Skylar's life?"

Previously, when Skylar had a relationship with Sabella, Valerie didn't care much about it although she was embittered.

This was because Valerie had long discovered that Sabella was imitating Coralie. She knew that Skylar didn't love her either, and that it was nostalgia at most.

However, it was different now that Coralie had returned.

Jasper looked at Hendric, who was between Coralie and Skylar. He had blood dripping from his nose to his clothes, and his face was slightly pale. "That child is sick."

"Sick?"

"Yes, it should be leukemia. Before this, our company donated money to a hospital specializing in treating leukemia. When I was there, I saw many children like this." Jasper explained.

"Where did she get the guts? She had a child with another man, and now she is looking for Skylar to treat her child?"

Valerie had never had a child. Plus, Hendric was ill, and he looked thinner than children of his age. She thought the child was only a year old, and it was likely that Coralie had had him with another man. Then she came and threw herself at Skylar again.

"That's Skylar's child, isn't it?"

From the angle at Jasper's seat, he could see Hendric's facial features clearly.

"That's absurd..."

Looking at the three of them, Valerie could not help but clench her hands into a fist, and her eyes were swelling with jealousy.

Recently, Valerie thought that she had already let go of Skylar because of her time with Jasper, but when she saw this scene, she realized that she had never moved on from Skylar.

All throughout the meal, Skylar and Coralie did not notice Valerie.

After they were done eating, Skylar took them back to Harvey's hospital.

Originally, Coralie thought that there wouldn't be much changes in the treatment, but when Coralie entered the ward, she couldn't help but be astounded.

The ward was spacious. In addition to the hospital bed and a bed for guests, there was also a small playground specially installed for Hendric. There was a miniature swing, and a two-meter square ball pit beside it.

"Wow!"

When Hendric saw it, he couldn't help but exclaim.

"Do you like it? From now on, you'll stay here for the time being."

Skylar said as he put Hendric in the playground. Hendric staggered as he tried to run over. First, he played on the swing, and then he had his share of fun in the ball pit. "This is..."

Coralie looked at the ward in front of her and was somewhat surprised.

"I asked Harvey to buy it just now," Skylar said.

"Just now?"

"Yeah. You've been hanging on well for the past two years. Leave the rest of the things to me as his father."

Skylar held Coralie's hand and brushed away a strand of hair clinging to her cheek.

Coralie looked at the man. She felt a weight on her wrist all of a sudden. When she lowered her head again, the emerald bracelet that she had sold was back on her wrist again. "Sorry, I..." Coralie wanted to apologize.

"This is yours. Don't take it off again in the future."

Skylar put his finger to her lips and reminded her in a gentle voice.

At this time, Harvey also rushed over. When he saw Coralie who was beside Skylar, he was so surprised that his jaw gaped open. "I can't believe it."

"Dr. Felton."

Coralie was slightly embarrassed.

Harvey shook his head. "If I hadn't seen it with my own eyes, I would have thought that Skylar was hallucinating. I almost found him a psychiatrist."

In fact, Harvey had initially planned to.

Aside from Skylar, no one else believed that Coralie was still alive.

Today, when Skylar called Harvey and asked him to prepare a ward for his son's treatment, he felt that Skylar had been suppressing himself for too long that he finally developed a delusional disorder... "So that's what you were thinking?"

Skylar raised his eyebrows.

"I was wrong. Well, considering that I've gone out of my way and arranged your son's ward for you, you should let me off the hook."

Harvey put his palms together in front of his chest and pretended to beg for mercy. However, Harvey was also delighted that Coralie was back.

After the joke, Harvey opened the folder in his hand and called Skylar and Coralie over. He whispered, "I've looked through the data sent by the Municipal Hospital. Hendric's illness is best cured through cord blood, and the second way would be bone marrow transplant. However, Miss Chariott's bone marrow is haploidentical with Hendric's."

Harvey explained Hendric's situation by utilizing other data, but in the end, as what the previous doctor had advised, cord blood was the best treatment.

Harvey also educated Skylar and Coralie about the cord blood treatment.

"Get another child? It's easy."

Skylar didn't think it was difficult.

"No... I... My ovum is abnormal. I've tried it before," Coralie said.

"You've tried it before?"

Skylar and Harvey looked at Coralie at the same time.

Skylar suddenly had a realization. He held Coralie in his arms and raised his eyebrows slightly. "It was you that night, wasn't it?"

"Yeah... I thought you were engaged to someone else, so I wanted to secretly try for a test tube baby for Hendric's treatment."

Coralie explained, a pang of embarrassment on her face.

At this point, Skylar felt like a weight was lifted off his chest. He had not slept with another woman.

"If the cord blood method doesn't work, we can only try bone marrow transplant. However, there is a possibility of relapse. Tomorrow, Skylar will also undergo a bone marrow test to see if he is compatible." Harvey said.

"Okay."

Skylar also agreed.

It would take a week for the results of the bone marrow test to come out.

After accompanying Coralie and Hendric for three days, Skylar went back to the company.

As soon as he got out of the elevator, Jayson stood at the door and looked at Skylar helplessly.

"What's wrong?"

Skylar asked.

Jayson shot a glance at the president's room and said, "Go and see for yourself."

When Skylar entered the office, he saw Sabella crying and sobbing. As soon as he came in, Sabella immediately stood up and remarked, "President Holland, you're alright? Thank God. I couldn't get in touch with you these days and thought you were in an accident."

Being faced with Sabella, Skylar was showing an icy expression. He didn't even look at her but sat down in his own seat. "Miss Jakeman, I thought our next meeting would be in prison."

Hearing Skylar's words, Sabella was a little confused. She frowned and walked to stand beside Skylar. "President Holland, what are you talking about?"

"Don't you understand?"

"I don't."

Sabella admitted.

After hearing her denial, Skylar stood up and stared at Sabella in front of him with his eyes that could make someone's blood run cold. He underlined his word, one by one, "Do you think a mere tight-lipped nurse could stop me from uncovering the evidence that you tried to murder my son?"
