Sabella looked up and happened to meet Skylar Holland's fierce eyes, scaring her and she lost her balance.

Sabella had never seen such a look in Skylar's eyes ever since she met him.

"President Holland, what are you talking about? Why would I kill your son?"

Sabella's eyes were still red and swollen. She looked at Skylar with an incredulous expression.

In fact, it was Coralie who said that Sabella had tried to kill Hendric. The reason why Skylar didn't doubt her was because Coralie came back with his son. However, after chewing it over, there seemed to be no one else who knew about it except Sabella.

"Miss Jakeman, you saw my wife and my son in the hospital that night, but you told them something you shouldn't, am I right?"

Skylar looked at Sabella, and his eyes were full of contempt.

As Sabella couldn't contact Skylar these days, she thought that he was caught up in something, so she went to the hospital to ask about Coralie, but the nurses refrained from mentioning anything.

So Sabella didn't mind it.

However, Skylar's conjecture just now had given her an inkling. Skylar had found Coralie, and they were already together.

"No, President Holland, it's not that! I admit that I like you, and I have my own selfishness, but no matter how cruel I am, I wouldn't go as far as killing a child!"

Sabella denied it. She grabbed Skylar's arm and kept explaining.

However, Skylar shook her off. "I will replace the evidence, don't worry."

"I really didn't do it," Sabella said, and her tears flowed down again. Sabella bit her lip and contested, "If the evidence proves otherwise, you have to apologize to me!"

"Okay." Skylar did not avoid it. "If I'm wrong, I'll apologize to you."

"Fine."

Sabella nodded and left.

She kept silent all the way until she reached the elevator. Sabella tied up her long hair and wiped away her tears. She took out the phone and shouted angrily, "Dad! Did you know? Someone harmed Skylar's son and he suspects me!"

In fact, Sabella was not very capable and had to rely on her father. Hence when something happened, she would always depend on her father.

Sabella's father was the president of the Commercial Union. Although he was very busy, he only had one precious daughter. When he heard his daughter's tone, he immediately comforted her. "Well, I'll investigate this for you. I've told you that you can't undermine Coralie's position in Skylar's heart, but you don't listen."

"But I've been working so hard to be his "Coralie" beside him. Who would have thought that Coralie was still alive! Now they even suspect that I tried to kill their son! Dad, you must prove that I'm innocent!" Sabella was 24 years old this year. She had just graduated from college a year ago and had been enjoying a free and easy lifestyle. Although she had a smooth life, it was also precisely because of this that she came across a dead end when she met Skylar.

"Okay, okay."

Sabella's father couldn't refuse his daughter and agreed.

"Alright, dad, I'll be waiting for your news. I love you." Sabella finished her words and added, "Dad, please give me some money. I'm going to buy a car." "Okay, I will transfer it to you."

Sabella's father was generous when it came to money.

Soon, Sabella's mobile phone lit up with a notification, and the balance was increased by a few million dollars.

However, this money would not be used on a car, but for a crime...

Sabella had never intended to kill Hendric. Her only goal from the beginning was to kill Coralie and grant her the real status of a deceased. However, Skylar was particularly wary of her now, so she had to think of some other ways.

A week later, the result for Skylar's bone marrow examination came out. To everyone's surprise, Skylar and Hendric were also haploidentical. Coralie simply couldn't accept this reality.

"How could this be..."

She almost broke down after reading the result.

They had looked up in the bone marrow bank, but they couldn't replace one that matched Hendric's bone marrow at present.

"Can't the haploidentical bone marrow be transplanted?"

Skylar asked Harvey.

"It can, but there is a higher chance of rejection. The risk of relapsing is also high. He'll have to suffer a lot, and the chance of recovery is small." Harvey explained in layman's terms, "I don't recommend transplanting haploidentical bone marrow, it'll just torment the kid."

"But, there's no other way, isn't it?"

"Why don't you two try having another kid again?" Harvey suggested.

In Harvey's opinion, it would be the best option if Skylar and Coralie could have another child again.

"Okay."

Skylar nodded.

They knew that this was the best way, but now it seemed to be very difficult.

"What if... I mean, what if I can't get pregnant?"

Coralie was most clear about her own condition since she had tried for a test tube baby before.

"There is another way, and this depends on your capability, Skylar." Harvey told Skylar, "The government has a project aiming to study the functions of umbilical cord blood. A cord blood bank was built for that purpose. The cord blood which the babies' mother didn't wish to keep, were all sent to the bank."

"Does it mean that Hendric's cord blood could be there too?"

Hearing this, Coralie's eyes lit up.

"No, but the cord blood can also be matched. If it is identical, then it can be used," Harvey explained.

"What do you need me to do?"

Skylar knew, since Harvey had mentioned how this matter would depend on his capability, it was definitely not as easy as imagined.

"Actually, this project is not open to the public. There are only a few people who know about it, and they won't casually test the cord blood for any outsiders. You'll need to replace if there is anyone among your acquaintances who can get involved in this project to help you."

It was obviously an advantageous option, but Harvey saved it for the last on account of the confidentiality of this project. If it was just for the use of an ordinary personnel, they would definitely shrug it off. "Okay, I'll handle this."

At first, Skylar didn't think it would be that unattainable.

Until he found out that a lot of people around him had no idea about this project. Even if they knew it, they would just shake their heads and claim that they were powerless.

Even Skylar, who was highly influential in City A, was at his wit's end dealing with this matter.

Two weeks later, Sabella came to Skylar.

When Skylar saw Sabella walking into his office, he said directly, "Jayson, send the guest away."

"President Holland, wait a minute. I can help you get in touch with the people in the cord blood bank." Before Jayson came in, Sabella spoke first.

She pretended to be afraid of Skylar, but insisted on saying her words.

"What did you say?" Skylar was surprised.

"I know you're looking for it. I can contact the person-in-charge of the cord blood bank for your son. This is a research project. When the project was still inchoate, my father's Commercial Union donated money to this project. As long as he lends a hand, the cord blood bank will definitely allow it."

Sabella said with certainty.

With a pair of beautiful eyes and light makeup, Sabella looked at Skylar with a trace of sincerity, as if she didn't mind his past misunderstanding and mistake.
