"Yohan's eldest brother, Sebastian, died because of him. It was Yohan who killed Sebastian," Lydia muttered slowly. She could see the change in Coralie's expression. She continued, "You know that Yohan was an introvert when he was young. After he came to our house, Sebastian and Dylan always bullied him but he had never told anyone about it. Until one day, Yohan accidentally killed Sebastian..." Lydia cried as she choked, "I was the one to be blamed. I am the one who made Yohan end up like this. If I did not come here, things could have been different."

"Auntie Lydia..."

Coralie frowned. She figured out that Yohan's behavior and temperament must be closely related to his experience in the Watson family.

However, as far as she could remember, Yohan used to be a timid person. He wouldn't be brave enough to murder a person...

"Coralie, I know that Yohan had forced you to stay with him. I'm also aware of your relationship with the Holland family. But look, Skylar can still have a good life without you. You have seen Yohan's condition. He is determined to be with you and no one else."

Lydia sobbed as she talked to Coralie.

"I understand, Auntie Lydia. I'll talk to Yohan. He will go tomorrow."

Coralie wished to leave the room immediately.

She didn't want to talk about that with Lydia. Although Coralie knew that she would never get back together with Skylar in her life, when Lydia mentioned Skylar, Coralie's heart could not help but ache as if someone was pinching her heart.

Lydia was a woman; she could tell that Coralie was in grief. Hence, she said, "Coralie, don't think of leaving Yohan, please. He has a weird character. He can do anything under pressure."

Before Lydia could finish this line, Coralie had already walked to the door.

Coralie's hand, which was holding the doorknob, froze. "Auntie Lydia, don't worry. I have never thought of leaving Yohan."

After that, she went back to the room.

Coralie told Yohan that Lydia insisted on him visiting the graveyard the next day. Out of the norm, Yohan didn't make any objections.

Coralie was relieved. After visiting Sebastian's grave the next day, the whole family returned home. When they had lunch together, Yohan suddenly stood up and stated, "What an auspicious day today is. I have an announcement to make."

All of them looked at Yohan instantly. Even the servants' expressions changed at once.

It was Sebastian's death anniversary, but Yohan said that it was an auspicious day.

Yohan ignored them as he continued, "I will be having a wedding with Coralie after a month."

Coralie was sitting beside him. After hearing Yohan's words, the cutlery on Coralie's hand nearly slipped off. She quickly stood up and nudged Yohan. "We will talk about this on another day."

"Why the delay? Today is the day when I regain the joy in my life again."

The hideous grin on Yohan's face was terrifying.

Usually, Yohan and Coralie would eat in a small restaurant. They had never eaten together with Lydia, Mr. Watson, and Dylan. It was a rare occasion for them to have a meal together, but Yohan was determined to ruin the mood.

"Alright, sit down!"

Mr. Watson was clearly upset.

"Ok, please do come, everyone."

Yohan then sat down with a smile.

Coralie was so embarrassed that she wanted to dig a hole and hide herself inside. She had no idea why Yohan did that.

They finished the meal in an awkward silence before Coralie and Yohan went back to their rooms respectively. On the way, she couldn't help asking, "Why did you choose to announce it today? It is your eldest brother's..."

"He's not my eldest brother."

Before Coralie finished speaking, Yohan interrupted her.

"But..."

"Do you know why I said that today is the day I regain the joy in my life?" Yohan walked to Coralie and sat down next to her. He held her hand and added, "Because before Sebastian died, I had been living a life worse than a prisoner."

"Did he... bully you?"

That line made Coralie aware that Yohan must have experienced something awful back then.

"Yes, he had been bullying me since I moved in, right until I killed him 12 years ago. But before he died, I had been staying in this house for three years."

From his words, Coralie realized that Yohan had been bullied for a good three years by his so-called eldest brother in this house.

"But he has passed away..."

"Passed away? How could his death alleviate my hatred for them? I don't think I will forgive them even if they turn into ashes."

Coralie noticed a detail in his words.

He said 'them'.

It meant that Sebastian wasn't the only one who bullied him. If she was not mistaken, Dylan must be another culprit.

However, Coralie didn't dare to ask how they had treated Yohan. Nevertheless, she believed that Yohan must have hated them very much. Otherwise, he would not have killed Sebastian. "Alright, everything is finally over."

Coralie stood up, patted him on his back like an elder sister. She then pinched his face and said, "No one will bully you from now on. I will protect you."

Yohan beamed after hearing Coralie. "Meeting you is the luckiest thing in my life."

He hugged Coralie instantly. Gone was his scary and hideous expression. He looked exactly like a little boy at this moment.

"I think I will be lonely all my life. I've been so lonely all my life..."

Coralie's phone rang.

She got up to look for it.

Coralie had not used her phone lately because her current life only revolved around learning and sleeping. She barely went anywhere else nor did she have any friends. No one would look for her. Therefore, she was also surprised to receive a call.

When she saw the number on the screen, she immediately recognized that it was Wayne's.

Wayne never called her on the phone.

"Hello."

"Coralie! Come back quickly! Mom is ill!"

Wayne's voice pierced through the air as soon as the call was connected.

"What happened?"

Coralie's heart palpitated immediately. Hera had always been in the pink of health. Why would she suddenly fall ill?

"Alas, I don't know either. I found her unconscious on the ground when I got home. I immediately called for the ambulance. She is in the emergency room now but it has been more than an hour. I'm afraid..." Wayne was scared that if anything unwished-for happened to Hera, Coralie wouldn't be able to see Hera for the last time. Hence, he rang her.

"Alright. Don't worry, I'll go back. I'll go back now!"

Coralie replied right away without asking for Yohan's permission.

After hanging up the phone, Coralie lowered her head, mustering up the courage. When she was about to speak, Yohan asked, "Do you want to go back?"

"Yes." She nodded firmly.

"Go back then."

Coralie didn't expect Yohan would agree to let her return to A Country so readily.

She made an agreement with Yohan when she decided to move here. The first rule on Yohan's list was that she could never return to A Country, especially not A City. "Really?"

Coralie could not believe her ears. Every time Yohan returned to A Country, she was dying to follow Yohan back, but Yohan had never allowed her to do so. However, this time, before she could even ask for his permission, he let her return to A Country.
