You Hit My Heart
Chapter 312

St. Maria Hospital.

The reason why she was so familiar with St. Maria Hospital was thatshe had once run up and down the hospital for Justin, but in the end,she still couldn't get Justin into surgery.

When she came back to the old place, saw the hospital just the waythey were before...

When she counted the days, not much time had passed since then.Perhaps too many things had happened recently, and she had no timeto pay attention to herself. The face of Justin in her heart hadsurprisingly become more and more blurred.

The responsibilities that were once more important than life weregradually being put aside.

She had once called him everyday just to replace his whereabouts, butnow it had been a long time since the time time she called.

Time was, perhaps, the sharpest knife to wear down life.

She sat in the waiting room. The hospital was crowded. She quietlywaited for her number to be called. When she was so bored, sheorganized the files in her phone. It was good that all her importantphotos and information were in the cloud, and her important contactswere also there.

After waiting for a while, it was finally her turn.

She got up, took the lab slip from the previous blood test, and walkedinto the doctor's consultation room.

The doctor took her blood test form and asked her carefully about hermedical history and her recent condition.

Finally, the doctor typed rapidly into the computer and said to her, “I'mtransferring you to the OB/GYN department. What you have are notstomach problems, nor are they typical of gastroenteritis. I suggest yougo for an abdominal ultrasound.”

The doctor tapped on the keyboard, "Well, I've already transferred you,no need to reschedule the registration. First you should do a bultrasound scan first at the imaging room, and then go to the outpatientclinic for consultation.”

"Okay, thanks a lot." Joyce walked out of the room.

She came to the imaging room on the fifth floor, which she was alsovery familiar with, having brought Justin here for imaging many timesbefore.

Today was a lucky day, there were not many people doing ultrasoundscans.

Usually there were crowds of people outside, and the line went frommorning to afternoon.

She waited for about an hour and it was her turn.

She walked quickly into the ultrasound room, laid down on the bed, andlifted her clothes.

"Married, right?" The female ultrasound doctor asked.

"Hmm." Joyce roughly understood what the doctor meant. If she wasstill a virgin, she could not reach in the probe from the lower body forthe ultrasound. And since she was no longer a virgin, so naturally shecould.

The ultrasound doctor sticked the probe in and started scanning.

It was not really any pleasant experience, and she even felt some pain.Joyce could not help but frown.

"Don't move, I'll be gentle.” The ultrasound doctor said.

"Good." Joyce held back her discomfort. It was the first time she hadthis kind of examination. In fact, she didn't figure out why thegastroenterologist recommended her to have an ultrasound when shejust had stomach discomfort.

“There you go." The ultrasound doctor removed the probe, "You canget up now. The images have been transmitted to the obstetrician andgynecologist, so you can go wait for your consultation.”

Joyce sat up and thought about it and asked one more question,“Doctor, I'm not sick, am 1?"

The ultrasound doctor looked at her in surprise, her eyes full ofpuzzlement, "Not at all, it's just a regular maternity checkup. I just don’tknow why just everybody nowadays feels they are sick.”

"Me, maternity checkup?!" Joyce was baffled and completely confused. She only came to check her stomach, how come she would take amaternity test?

She wanted to pursue the question, but the doctor was too busy andthe next patient had already entered the room.

"Next, lie down.” The ultrasound doctor said.
