Joyce stepped into the elevator, pressed for the first floor, and closedthe door.

Inside stood two young nurses who had just ended their shifts and whowere whispering.

"Mr. Warner from the intensive care VIP ward is awake, you know?"

“I know, he's so handsome. It's the first time I've seen him in person,I've only seen him on magazine covers before. I want the hospital totransfer me to the special ward, so I can see him a few more times."

“I heard he had amnesia and had lost part of his recent memory."“Really! No wonder the doctors had an emergency meeting thisafternoon. So it's because of this. But what do you mean by recentmemory?"

The elevator opened on the second floor and the two nurses steppedout of the elevator.

Joyce listened and came to a realization.

She thought it was all because of Luther's strange and volatiletemperament, but it turned out he had amnesia?

So, he had forgotten all that had happened between him and her afterthat. The memory went back to the time when he decided she was agold-digger, approached Stephanie intending to climb the ladder ofsocial classes, and owed him $800,000?

How did this happen?

How could God have such a big joke?

At this point, the elevator stopped on the first floor.

When the elevator door opened.

Joyce slowly looked up, and the person walking toward her made herfrown.

It was Charlotte.
