You Hit My Heart
Chapter 443

She had to do her own snooping and replace solid evidence againstCharlotte.

She had never harmed anyone, and she would never tolerateCharlotte's nasty tricks. An eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth. Charlottewould have to pay the price!

Charlotte saw Shelly and Jacqueline standing outside the door, shewaved at them, " Jacqueline, Shelly, you're here too!"

Joyce frowned. She didn't want to meet Jacqueline and Shelly.

But she just met them every time, and it seemed too rude for her to justwalk away from them.

Jacqueline came toward Charlotte and said, "Luther just woke up and Iam quite worried. I'd better come over and keep him company tonight.”Shelly followed up, also carrying a thermos box in her hand, "My momwent back to get my brother some pork ribs porridge. My brother hardlyate anything at noon, I guess he must be hungry. Charlotte, what doyou bring?"

"Oh, it's fish soup.” Charlotte said softly, “I thought you might also bringsomething, so I prepared the stew."

“You are so thoughtful.” Shelly nudged Charlotte and praised, "That'swhat a daughter-in-law should be like!"

In fact, both Shelly and Jacqueline had seen Joyce, and they justdeliberately ignored her.

Joyce didn't mind and nodded her head in greeting, "Aunt Cecelia, I'llleave you to it."

Jacqueline held up the delicate coiffure on the back of her head, andher voice carried a bit of sarcasm, "Joyce, what are you still doinghere? You are getting divorced, so I think there is no business for youhere."

Joyce smiled, "Don't worry, I'm not coming even if you ask in thefuture.”

Shelly stepped forward, "Yo, you've met my brother? Then you mustknow about his memory loss?"

Joyce did not answer.

Shelly continued regardless, "Does he remember you? The first thingyou need to do is to get a good idea of what you're doing. And you, after all, are just an insignificant outsider. All those memories betweenyou and him before had all gone.”

After Shelly finished, she realized that Charlotte was also on the side, and she hastily took Charlotte's arm, "We are a family from now on."Joyce smiled decently, "Have a great family reunion and goodbye."With that, she left St. Maria Hospital without looking back.

She walked faster and faster.

She just wanted to get out of this place early.

She said that she did not care, but why was her mood so different fromthe usual? She always felt it hard to breathe, and there seemed to be ahollow in her chest. But she could not tell exactly what was it that shewas feeling.

She thought about the days at Hill Benjamin, where she and Luther hadstuck together and survived the great challenge, where she waskidnapped and he kept looking for her, where they fought togetheragainst the thugs, and where she shot and he fought.

They jumped down the steep slope together, he defused the bomb forher, and in the critical moment of life and death, he never left her andrefused to let go. On the bank of the lake at the bottom of the hill, shewas drugged, and it was he who had saved her. Although she did notwant to think about how crazy she had gotten back then, thesememories seemed to be engraved in her blood and bones and couldnot be erased.

But now, she wanted to forget everything, but she could not.

He, however, had forgotten all about it.

As Shelly said, all the good memories she had left with him before hadall gone up in smoke.

Did she really not care?

She always felt that some part of her heart was missing and her mindwas empty.

Such a feeling made her sad like never before ...
