“Noah, aren’t you afraid that your fans would be angry with Annabelle if you post her photo on Twitter?” Although Annabelle was Noah’s sister–in–law, if Noah’s fans saw their photo, they would still be upset. Taking a photo with Noah was a dream come true for them.

Annabelle waved her hand nonchalantly before Noah could reply. “They can’t do anything to me.” Annabelle was not a public figure and did not use Twitter much. The fans would need a channel to do anything to her.

Although Lucas did not say anything, he still cast a look at Benjamin.

Benjamin immediately cowered under his gaze.

It took Benjamin a while to realize that he had done nothing wrong. If Lucas wanted to blame someone, he should blame. Noah

However, Noah was thick–skinned and did not take Lucas‘ displeasure to heart.

However, he looked at Noah and asked calmly, “Was the person who called you today your girlfriend?”

Noah, who had always looked unruffled and seemed to have everything under control, suddenly stiffened when he heard that. He quickly regained his composure in the next second. However, Lucas‘ sharp eyes caught his look.

“Is she really your girlfriend?” Lucas leaned closer to Noah and asked again. He was curious.

Noah merely took a glance at Lucas and ignored his question.

There seems to be something wrong with you.” Lucas continued to analyze excitedly, oblivious to the disdainful look Noah cast at him. “Ex–girlfriend: That’s possible too. When did you have a girlfriend? Why don’t we know about it? Why did you break up with her? Is she unhappy with you being a big celebrity?”

Annoyed. Noah kicked Lucas.

Annabelle was indignant. Even if Noah was her idol, she would not allow him to hit Lucas. He was her man.

“Noah!” Annabelle stood in front of Lucas to shield him from Noah. She looked at her idol disapprovingly. “Let’s talk over this. Don’t fight. It will affect our close ties.”

Noah looked at her protective look and raised his eyebrows. “Some people can’t be reasoned with. Otherwise, I wouldn’t want to do anything to tarnish my reputation.”

“Still, you can’t kick him.” Annabelle’s tone was firm. “If he doesn’t understand the first time, you can always say it again until he gets it.”

Noah glanced at his second brother, who was hiding behind Annabelle. Seeing his smug expression, he could not help but

chuckle.

Noah thought everything seemed perfect.

Not everyone was lucky enough to replace true love. Noah might have gained a lot in life, but he was also destined to lose some things.

Fortunately, love was not something he could not live without. His life would be in no way incomplete, even if he did not replace true love.

“Noah, are you angry?” When Annabelle saw Noah’s dazed expression, she started reflecting on herself. Was she making a mountain out of a molehill? Obviously, Noah was just fooling around with Lucas. She seemed to have overreacted.

“I’m not angry.” Noah said seriously. I’m just a little sad. I thought Annabelle liked me, but I didn’t expect…”

I really like you.” Annabelle said hurriedly. “That’s when I was acting…”

Before Annabelle could finish speaking, the man standing behind her covered her mouth and forced her to turn around. Annabelle met his deep gaze and immediately felt guilty.

“Where’s your heart when you are acting?” Lucas raised his eyebrows and asked calmly.

Annabelle giggled. “Hehehe… my heart is not with the character. Neither is it in the movie. My heart is with you.”

“Pffi, hahaha…” Noah was standing behind Annabelle. He suddenly burst out laughing.

Annabelle’s fast was flushed red. “This is so embarrassing.”

Lucas gave her a smirk of satisfaction.

The family was joking and laughing merrily. The atmosphere was unprecedentedly harmonious. The happy mood continued till the next night.

“You guys go ahead and have fun. The party is meant for young people. We’re too old to join you.” Mary was the first to state

her stand.

“I’m not going either.” After Mary finished speaking. Elizabeth raised her hand and said, “I’m almost done writing my proposal. You should go ahead. I’m working overtime at home.”

Elizabeth did not want to have anything to do with Yolanda. She refused to attend the party as it was held at Yolanda’s house. She would rather spend the time sleeping at home.

Seeing that none of them wanted to go to the party, Annabelle started having second thoughts. She did not know Yolanda well. She also did not know any of the guests invited. She would not feel at ease at the party.

“It’s okay.” Lucas patted her shoulder and comforted her. “We’ll go as a form of courtesy and then leave quickly.”

That sounded like a good idea to Annabelle.

Annabelle finally agreed to attend the party. She put on her coat and went out with Lucas.

As she was pregnant, Annabelle did not wear anything too flashy.

She styled a bun with her hair and put on a woolen maternity dress and black leggings with white boots.

Lucas took the red down jacket hanging at the door and put it on for Annabelle. He also remembered to wrap a scarf around her neck. Only her forehead and eyes were visible. She looked exceptionally captivating.

“I’m wrapped up like a ball!” Annabelle muttered softly. She reckoned that she would be the only one wearing so many layers of clothes at the party. However, she had no choice. She was afraid of the cold. If she wore too few clothes and caught a cold, not only would she suffer. The two unborn babies would also be affected.

The Littleton manor was not too far away from the Walker residence. There were only a few houses between them. Lucas and Annabelle strolled over leisurely and arrived at the party in less than twenty minutes.

“Lucas, are you here? Come on in. Yolanda has been waiting for you for a long time. Hey, who is this?” Carly greeted Lucas warmly when she saw him. However, she looked suspiciously at Annabelle.

“This is my wife, Annabelle Ross. You can call her Annabelle.” Lucas placed a hand on Annabelle’s shoulder. “Annabelle, this is Carly…

“Your wife? When did you get married? Why wasn’t I informed?” Carly interrupted Lucas with an incredulous look.
