Sage was in a good mood after the call with her eldest brother.

It was always that way for her — just a phone call with Tim and she would be put in a good mood. Itwas the feeling that she did not have to worry about anything because she knew Tim would haveher back

It was just that Tim was always busy and because of his identity, he was not able to leave his countryand Sage would need to visit him instead.

There was a time when he bought her an entire island and said, “I've gotten you an island, do youwant to fly over and come and have a look?"

It was obvious to Sage that Tim missed her.

He just could not bring himself to say it.

The corners of her lips curled up and Yoel caught her. “Did something good happen? Look at you allsmiling.” Yoel arched his brow. “Come on, share your happiness with me.” He was about to sit downnext to Sage when Sage pushed him away. At the same time, Laura walked over and gave himanother push. “Did we allow you to sit here?”

Laura then sat down next to Sage. Yoel, on the other hand, was left hanging on the side. He scoffedreluctantly. “Let me guess.” Laura looked at Sage with those pretty eyes of hers and asked, “Is itbecause Jace is now baldie and you replace him hilarious? Hahaha...” —

The corners of Sage’s lips twitched. “Bald Fish?”, “Yeah, it's our new nickname for Jace. Not bad,right?”

Laura looked pleased.

Sage was reminded of Jace’s shiny bald head and thought that the nickname suited him. Shenodded and responded, “It's perfect.”

Leaning against the wall, Yoel chuckled.

“Jace is awake and he’s looking for her. Aren't you going to see him?”

Sage already guessed that Jace would regain his consciousness soon as she was confident with hersurgery skills. Plus, she knew all about Jace's condition.

Placing her hand over her sore neck, Sage exhaled softly.

“I will. There're other things that I need to remind him of after the surgery.” Sage stood up, gave alight pat on Laura's arms, and walked toward Jace's ward.

Crossing her legs, Laura sighed as she watched Sage leaving, “It must've been hard for Sage.”

Yoel sat down next to Laura. He too crossed his legs together.

"Ever heard of the saying to whom much is given, much will be required? A genius would of coursebe tired.”

He said it as if he referred to himself.

“You? A genius?” Laura placed her hand over Yoel's forehead. “Bro, are you sure you haven't lostyour mind?” “What did you say?!" Yoel retorted. He caught a glimpse of a tall silhouette walkingtoward them. The man wore a darkened expression on his face and his eyes were fueled with rage."How dare you raise your voice at her?” Kane shot fierce glares at Yoel. Yoel had no plans of givingin, “Do I need your approval to bicker with my friend?” “Yes.” Kane replied without any hesitationYoel scoffed. “Hah, and why should I? What are you to Laura anyway?” “She's my woman.” Kanestood right next to Laura. With both of his hands in his pocket, Kane stared at Yoel. “Get the hell outof here if you don't want to be beaten up.” Yoel thought to himself, “Why should I leave just becausehe tells me to?" Not showing any signs of leaving, Yoel looked at Laura and asked, “Are you guysdating?”

Laura shook her head. “No.”

She then looked at Kane, unsure. “Are we?"

Kane responded, “We are!”

Laura was speechless.

Inwardly she thought to herself, “Are we dating? Why don't I know about it?" “Did I miss out onanything?”
