"No. I'm too old to tell lies."

Cole sighed deeply and Jessica saw that he was trying so hard to hold back tears.

"Are you Okay?"

"I honestly thought I lost her already. I mean, things were starting to take off on a high note for us and then this happened."

"I understand. I was scared too. But turns out Hailey isn't about to let anyone mess with her man. She is willing to protect you from the world. Even from her bloody step-sister."

Cole's expression turned soar. "Please tell me she didn't go all the way to her family house?"

Jessica shrugged. "I tried warning her not to but I was too late. She was on her way there when I called."

"Hailey!" Cole sighed, massaging his temple.

"She could get hurt! Vanessa is a witch! She might frame Hailey with something. I wouldn't forgive myself if anything were to happen to Hailey because of me."

Jessica chuckled. "You have no idea of the kind of woman you are in love with, right?"

Cole stared, confused.

"Hailey's the kind that would go the extra mile for the ones she loves and cherishes. You are her man and she is doing what any woman who is in love would do to mark their territory." "Besides, She needs to speak sense to her family members. Most especially to Vanessa. Vanessa would keep trampling on her right if she continued to keep quiet."

"She is doing the right thing. You need to trust her."

"I know you are worried about her safety but Hailey is going to be fine. She is strong and fierce. I believe her and her words."

"If you are still worried, I will give her a call if she isn't here in an hour. How about that?"

Cole nodded.

"Did you hear from my Dad? He must be so worried."

Jessica shook her head. "But I think he's aware. The news is all over. He spoke to me before you called me. He was worried you were acting so strangely."

"Yeah, we finished from a meeting and he followed me to my office, asking questions. I can't believe Vanessa stalked me and Hailey. Now my father is suspecting that I have kids."

"Vanessa is a psycho. She really needs to be in a mental home. I used to pity her, thinking she was genuinely in love with you but this is just some silly obsession."

"Not after all she did today. Love is patient, love is kind, and mostly, love is not selfish. You can't claim you love someone and ruin them."

"I am definitely going to deal with her my own way. I will make sure she gets a grave punishment for all she put you through."

"I feel like I am never going to enjoy my life If She is still in the picture. I want her to disappear from my life forever."

"She will, I promise you."

"But don't you think it's high time to tell your Dad about the twins? Maybe that would make him less worried about you."

"I do. I really want to. But then, Hailey and I are just waiting for the right time."

Jessica nodded.

"I should go speak to the officer so we can discuss how to get you out of here."

"Sorry, I am embarrassing myself before you." Moore sniffled, pulling away from the hug, and wiping tears away from his eyes.

"It's fine. I really needed the hug too. And I am so sorry about your past."

"Don't mention. Like you said, it is in the past. It's just that no matter how hard you try to move on, some wounds never heal."

"I was just overwhelmed earlier and I didn't know how to hide it."

"I was suspicious about Cole but never did it occur to me that he was hiding something this beautiful away from me."

"I apologize on his behalf. It was all my fault." Hailey said.

"No, you don't have to. My son took you for granted but I promise you that he had always loved you. He was just too much of a coward to admit it." "You mentioned earlier that you both are together now?"

Hailey nodded. "Myself, Cole, and the twins went for a mini vacay. That is why you didn't see him for the week."

"We are trying to work things out."

Moore took Hailey's hands in his and his eyes were filled with so much sincerity and gratitude at the same time.

"Thank you. Thank you."

"You've got nothing to Thank me for. I like your son too. No, I love him. We have wasted so much time and from now onwards I just want to be happy with him."

"It was really hard to forgive and let go of the past but I am so thankful I'm over that stage."

Moore smiled, nodding.

"We are sorry we didn't tell you about your Grandsons. Everything has been happening so fast and besides, we've been doing all we can to protect them from Vanessa and the media." "Vanessa thinks they are adopted. She doesn't know they belong to me and Cole."

"Cole would have told you before now but he was only respecting my wish."

"Your Grandchildren are fine. Their names are Enzo and Oliver. They look so much like you and Cole and I can't wait for you to meet them."

Moore nodded, smiling and holding back tears at the same time.

"Do you still want to go in to see them?" Hailey asked Moore.

"Should I?"

Hailey shook her head. "I don't think so."

"Cole is not in the wrong. Vanessa is just trying to be really manipulative."

"We should be on our way to Cole. He must be so worried about us."

In about thirty minutes, Hailey and Moore got to the Station. They found Jessica at the reception who was having a conversation with one of the cops.

Hailey and Moore approached them.

"What's going on?" Hailey interrupted.

"You are here?" Jessica pulled Hailey into a hug. She hugged Moore too.

She saw the anxious look on Hailey's face. "You want to see Cole before I fill you in?"

Hailey nodded immediately.

"Come with me," Jessica said and Hailey, as well as Moore followed her.

They got to the room Cole was and Jess ushered them in.

Cole instantly rose to his feet at the sight of his woman.

Hailey ran towards him and they hugged each other. Not caring that third parties were in the room, Hailey pulled away from the hug. She wrapped her arms around Cole's neck and initiated a long, soft, and passionate kiss with him. Cole had no idea when he snuck his arms around her waist.

Moore began to get teary while Jessica couldn't stop grinning as she stared at her favorite couple.
