TEGAN'S P.O.V

Once I was over the hill that Lucy had gone over, the scenery around me was unbearable. Bodies were everywhere. I knew deep down that we wouldn't all make it out alive and my heart was not handling that thought well. It looked like a blood bath. Red stained the ground, seeping from dead bodies, while the earth absorbed the wetness from the blood. I walked a little while longer trying to listen for Fredrick's or even Lucy's voice. But to my dismay, there was nothing. It was radio silent. I could hear the screams of pain from others, but not from whom I was looking for.

"We're too late..."

"Don't say that, we will replace them. We will break Lucy from Iblis's hold and we will save your brother," Ezra replied confidently.

"I have this gut feeling, it's like a knot that won't let up."

"It's just your nerves. Try not to worry until you have to."

Easier said than done. My entire life has been nothing but worry, even after I got away from my abusers. Truthfully, I'm surprised I am not medicated for it.

"Is there anyone left?"

I hadn't seen another wolf charge us since we started walking around. Did we somehow manage to defeat all of the Tribal Wolves? How was that even possible?? The odds were not in our favor, so how did we defeat them? Suddenly, they all came into view at once. All standing still, facing the forest.

"What's going on?" I whispered as I looked at the frozen-like Tribal Wolves.

"I have no idea..." Ezra whispered back.

We continued to walk forward, not a single wolf charging or even moving a muscle.

"Ahh nice of you to finally join the fight!" The voice I never thought I'd hear again said.

"Where is his voice coming from?" Ezra asked, while we both turned around in circles looking for him.

I zeroed in on the wolves. Was he in the middle of them?

"Trystan, where are you?" I asked out loud when he didn't speak.

"Make way." His voice came out demanding yet smooth.

As if on command, the Tribal Wolves parted ways like Moses did with the Red Sea.

"Look what I learned to do!" He yelled with a big smile on his face, as he walked between all the Tribal Wolves, none daring to attack.

"I don't understand..." I began to say as he interrupted me.

"While you were off playing around, I managed to take control."

"But...how?" I asked next, confused.

I wasn't going to argue about playing around. That was the last thing I was doing, but what I was doing wasn't half as interesting as what he managed to do.

"He was born to do this." The voice of the mysterious woman said.

"And where did you go off to? You spoke about having to save us, then disappeared."

"You had it under control. He, however, didn't." She answered.

"I wouldn't say I had anything under control," I answered in a low voice.

"You're alive. Fredrick is alive, Lucy is alive. Your mate is alive. I'd say you did have it under control."

"I told her not to try and save me." Trystan said with a shoulder shrug.

"If I hadn't, you'd be dead. We couldn't have that, now could we?" She replied to him.

"I still don't know what happened." I said, looking around.

"He just had to take control over his pack. A leader can break a magical hold if he really wants to." She answered with a smile.

"How do you know all of this?" I asked impatiently.

She is still a big question mark. I didn't know her name, and I damn sure didn't know how she knew what she did about us all. "Tegan, meet my aunt, Talissa," Trystan said happily.

Aunt... She looked to be just as old as him, which didn't mean anything anymore. But if she isn't on my mother's side, that means...

"It means exactly what you think. I am Iblis's younger half-sister." She said, answering my thoughts again. But she answered almost too proudly if you asked me.

"So, you are here to help your nephew defeat his father, your brother?" I asked next.

"More like protecting him from his father."

"So you don't want Iblis dead?"

"I didn't say that. But if you want to defeat him, you'll need my help."

So confident. Yet I hadn't seen her do a thing to help us, other than have me stop Lucy from killing Fredrick. Speaking of which...

"Where is Fredrick!?" I hollered out as I scanned the area. "Actually...Where is everyone?" I asked next, confused.

"Well, Lucy took Fredrick with her..." Trystan started to explain.

"And where did she take him exactly?" I asked, cutting him off too soon.

"Into the forest." Talissa answered for him.

"That can't be good..."

"When Trystan took control over the Tribal Wolf Pack, Lucy took off into the forest. Probably to update Iblis on the current situation."

"And what about everyone else?" I asked when nobody else came out.

"I'm not sure... You guys are the first I've seen since Lucy snatched Fredrick," Trystan answered.

So that leaves Uriah, Helena, Helga, Darion and Marci somewhere. Hopefully, not dead.

"What's the new plan then?"

"We have to fight the dead. Take down Iblis and close that gate." Talissa answered.

"We can't fight the dead. It's impossible to achieve. We either use the blades of death, and we only have two of the three blades. But by doing so, we are risking killing their innocent host too. There is also the option of an exorcism, but by the looks of it, we have no time for a mass exorcism."

"Actually, we now have all three blades," Talissa said, nodding over in Ezra's direction.

I looked over at him to see a blade of similar make to the other blades held tightly in his hand.

"Where did you get that?" Trystan asked, pushing forward. "I looked all over the world for that damn blade."

"My mother stabbed herself to save me. She used this blade to rid her body of the demon who was inhabiting it before giving it to me." Ezra said, looking down at the blade.

Wait, did he just say she stabbed herself? Was she okay?

"Lilyanna..." I began to say before he interrupted me.

"Gone..." Ezra answered, looking down. "The stab wound wouldn't heal, she bled out in my arms." He said as a tear slipped down his cheek before he quickly wiped it away.

"The magical components of the blades do not allow supernatural beings to heal. It leaves wounds open like humans. Without medical treatment, death could occur." Talissa said, explaining why she didn't heal from her wound.

"Where did your mother get that? It's the most powerful blade of them all." Trystan said as he stepped forward.

"I don't know, but it's mine now." Ezra answered Trystan almost challengingly.

"Of course, I wasn't going to take it. So, we have all three blades. It's said that once all three blades are together again, a power beyond belief is formed." Trystan then said as he pulled his two blades out.

The brightness of light radiated off all three blades as if they were signaling one another.

"I always wondered what power they held together. But now that we have the third Blade, it's a game changer. We only need three people to fight. But we have the Tribal Wolves for assistance to slow the dead down." Trystan said. "What exactly are you saying?" I asked.

"We need to replace Helena and Helga." Talissa then said. "Then you all can close that damn gate while we fight the dead. Trystan, are you okay with loaning out your blades?"

"To who?" He asked questionably.

"One for me and one for..."

"Me." A voice said, interrupting Talissa.

We all looked over to see Marci standing there soaked in blood.

"We can do it." She then said as she got closer.

"Are you even ready for this?" Trystan asked.

"I've been ready since the day you were born. So let's kill that bastard before he creates more chaos in this world."

"Ezra, Talissa, and Marci will be the Blade keepers. The Tribal Wolves will also assist in fighting. While you are all taking down the dead, we will close that gate." Trystan said next. "Now, we just have to replace Helena and Helga," I said.

"Well, let's not just stand here with our thumbs up our asses. Let's get the real battle started." Talissa said, making us chuckle.

Trystan handed Talissa and Marci his blades before turning to me.

"Let's go replace our sister witches." I nodded to his statement in agreement.

Now all we had to do was worry about the gate. Once it was shut, we would join the fight. It's time that we finally show Iblis just who he f****d with.
