TEGAN'S

P.O.V

I held off on hosting Ezra's memorial for when we took the Kingdom back. I wanted his friends, what was left of them, and all of those who loved him to be able to celebrate his life. "Full Moon is tonight, are you ready?" Lucy asked from across the room.

"We've done nothing but prepare. I'm ready to go home. I'm ready to officially lay my mate to rest."

It had been almost two weeks since the incident. Ezra's body was never recovered. But I planned to have a stone carved in his image for the crypt. It was the best way I could keep his memory alive.

"Tonight we will make our move. It will be when he is least expecting it. He thinks that tonight he is going to party and be crowned King of the realm. But while he is relishing in his so-called accomplishment, we strike. He doesn't have numbers, or at least hopefully he doesn't. I'm praying once we are discovered they'll side with us. If not, then a war it is." I then said, trying to remain confident.

As much as I wanted to act like I was ready for anything, deep inside I was frightened. That hit man had dust that weakened me. It stripped away every ounce of power, even in my human form. He had mentioned that it came from his employer, which was Uriah. Where did he get this kind of dust and how did he know that it would weaken me? I have all these questions but the biggest one, that frightened me the most, was how much of this magical dust did he have stocked back at the palace? "Tonight it shall be then."

I turned to look at Fredrick as he stood in the doorway. He had his serious face on while looking back. Good. We would need him sharp if we wanted tonight to go as planned.

"Let's go have dinner. We need to eat well tonight in order to conserve all the energy we possibly can." I then nodded to the group standing in front of me.

We all made our way down to the kitchen which was full of laughter. Something I hadn't done in so long, even before Ezra was officially taken from me.

"You're the rightful Queen. We will cease and conquer." Lucy whispered.

I looked over at my sweet babies while Elias stuffed his face with mashed potatoes and Irelyn sat cooing in her booster seat. She was now 6 months old and the doctor gave me the go ahead to start led-weaning her. I had decided to start with pureed vegetables rather than fruit, so that she doesn't get a taste of the sweetness before the bitter. If she did then she would probably only want one of the two. And she needed vegetables as much as she needed fruits. I airplaned a spoon full of green beans, buzzing toward her mouth. She had her lips sealed tight, not wanting the food. I haven't gotten her to like green beans yet.

That's when the spoon was ripped from my hand and thrown across the room.

"Oh how I remember those days."

The voice had my heart skipping a beat. Was that who I thought it was?

"Correct me if I am wrong, but doesn't her majesty also despise anything green?!"

I quickly whipped around to see Helena standing there bright eyed. A big smile on her beautiful face.

"I don't believe my eyes." I said in disbelief.

I had sent Helena and a few others on missions across the world. She had been gone nearly a year.

"I could say the same. The last two weeks I have been working on getting back here to attend what I thought was your funeral-" Her eyes then scanned the group before speaking again. "All of your funeral's. But here you all are, alive and well. What the hell happened while I was away?"

Fuck, what didn't happen would've been easier to explain than what actually happened. But I got her up to speed anyhow.

"Uriah...But I don't understand. I am pretty good at spotting evil and he just doesn't seem like that kind of man."

"It's true Helena. I hacked into the Kingdom's system. I was able to look up emails, text from the company phones, call records, bank transfers. It all points back to him." Fredrick said cheekily.

"Remind me to up the security when I take my Kingdom back." I responded half jokingly, half serious.

Fred wasn't the only other genius in this world. If he could hack into the Kingdom, someone else could too.

'He built that security system. Of course he could break into it so easily!

My heart thudded against my chest again for the second time tonight at another voice I hadn't heard in so long.

'Nice of you to finally make an appearance, Gem.'

I shouldn't have been so nasty to her. I knew she was hurting as much as I was. Only she chose to abandon me and hide in the depths of my mind to wallow alone. 'I'm sorry. I just needed time.'

'Well, at least you're here now. I needed your help the most tonight!

'I'd never turn my back on you or my Kingdom. I will always be here when it matters the most!

Her words brought me comfort. I knew that she wouldn't completely abandon me like everyone else nearly had. I knew I would always have her.

'Tegan.' Helena's voice echoed inside of my head.

My eyes shot over to her, noticing her hand across her chest in a fist, it then started rotating in a circular motion, her face showing so much emotion while she signed.

"I'm sorry too." I replied out loud, but in a low whisper.

Her mere presence was already tearing down every brick of my mental wall that I had put up. Her arms opened and I knew that her tight embrace of a hug was exactly what I needed. No matter the age, a mothers embrace would always be comforting. And Helena, she was my mother. Not biologically, but she was there for me in every way that mattered most.

"So what's the plan for Uriah? Please tell me there is a plan." She asked above my head.

I pulled away from her embrace to look up at her.

"I take back the throne. Which means that tonight, I and I alone will show Uriah that he f****d with the wrong Queen."

Cheers could be heard in the distance from the warriors that had volunteered to help me take back my Kingdom.

"Then count me in. You know I would rather die by your side than serve the wicked."

For the rest of the evening I filled Helena in on the plan. She knew the details and said that she was ready for the battle. I was only slightly worried, however. We had been planning and practicing for weeks, and she only just arrived.

"I got this." SHe said reassuringly.

Goddess I hoped so.

We were now all gathered on the training ground, hashing out all the details one last time. We had decided that traveling on foot in our wolf forms would be the wisest decision. I had originally planned to ride on my brother's back, but now that Gemma has returned, I could run myself.

Novalee chose to stay behind. After her near death experience, she voted to stay in Fredrick's pack, with all of our kids. To keep them safe, since trust was hard to give out currently. Plus, with her being a human, her body wasn't quite healed. So all in all, it was best she remained behind.

"Does everybody understand their part?" I asked, looking around at all the faces.

"Yes, your majesty." Multiple people replied, while others simply nodded.

I began to strip out my clothes. Shifting for the first time around Fredricks pack. Multiple people's eyes bulged from Gemma's appearance. She was a beauty that was for sure. A red wolf with gold painted all over her.

'WHO IS READY TO TAKE BACK MY THRONE!?' I mindlinked to everyone standing before me.

Another bonus to being who I am.

Suddenly, howls could be heard in all directions.

'Let's go take back the Kingdom!' I yelled as wolves started to run past me at full speed, embracing the feeling of being under the full moon.

As I also charged forward, into the dark forest under the bright starry lights, I could only think of one thing.

Dear Uriah, I'm coming for you.
