TEGAN'S

PO.V

I laid out my conditions. Insisting that he gave her his blood beforehand. Swearing that I would uphold my end of the deal.

"You do realize that I can collect her on my own without any help, right? I only offered out of courtesy. So, what makes you think you have a bargaining chip here?"

My heart was pounding against my chest. Why did I ever think that this would be a good idea?

"Look, Zola's condition got worse overnight. I don't think time is on our hands here. I'm not sure I can replace Sibil fast enough to meet your condition."

The last thing I wanted to do was sound vulnerable but s**t, I was running out of time here.

"Well it makes sense she got worse. Her cure came within close proximity of her. The curse sensed me."

"You knew that would happen when you struck the deal?" I was horrified that he had not a single ounce of care in his heart.

"Considering it was too late, why tell you?"

I bit my lip, trying to remain calm. I couldn't understand how a man could sit happily negotiating as an infant was dying. Especially knowing that the one thing that could cure her was his blood "How could you be so wicked?"

"Try being around as long as I have and still care about meaningless things that are out of your control."

His words had me seeing red.

"Her life is not meaningless. She means something to everyone here. How dare you talk about a child's life in such a way!"

"Guess you better get to replaceing Sibil then, huh?"

I can't believe this f*****g man! All he had to do was give a small amount of blood. A prick to his finger, for crying out loud. "I'll wait here for you to return."

I hadn't even f*****g found the bitches precise location!

Which meant I had NO TIME LEFT!

"Would it help if I gave you her location?" He then asked, making my jolt my head up to peer at him.

"You know where she is and you're just now telling me!?"

"You never asked."

This mother fvcker!

He let out a sigh before speaking. "She is still here in Colorado. I'll give you the address. Bring her to me, and you'll have the blood to save the girl. I'm not asking for much here." "Give me the address. I'll bring her to you right now. But you better be ready with a knife already in your hand for when I return. It's the least you could do."

"Let's get one thing straight here. I am not obligated to cure a soul. I'm doing this purely for fun. Don't think I wont leave, disregarding your senseless need to save the damned." She was not the damned, how dare he call a baby that!

"Retrive the witch and I cure the kid. Simple as that. But if I were you, I'd leave right now. It sounds like time isn't exactly in your favor to be wasting."

I didn't have time to give him the death glare. I jotted down the address, grabbed what I needed and took off. A newfound determination taking control.

I shifted, deciding I could get to her faster if I cut through the forest. She was squatting in an abandoned mansion on the outskirts of my pack. For a moment I considered if it were a possible trap. But I didn't have the time to sit and ponder on it. Zola needed my help, and her condition wouldn't wait.

I sat in the treeline upon arriving to scout the area out.

Listening for anything that may have sounded off.

However, I could only hear one other beating heart.

Gemma allowed me to take control with ease. Even though she wanted to taste her blood as badly as I wanted to feel it on my hands.

put my clothing back on before making my way to the house. I placed my hand on the door, but a barrier was in place. Go figure. However, I wasn't going to let a barrier keep me from succeeding this time.

"We can do this the easy way, or the hard way. Either way is fine by me." I hollered out while magic seeped from my palm, cracking the seal she had on the house with ease.

I pushed the door open with a creak. You'd think that the abandonment of the property would show. But instead it was completely decked out lavishly. As if she had been here for months.

"You finally found me, congratulations." She said without any hesitation.

"Give me Kingston."

"I won't lie, it hurt me more than you think to kill your mate.

I had actually grown to enjoy his hostile yet peaceful company."

My blood pulsated in my veins with every word she spoke.

"Hand over his soul." I said through gritted teeth.

"You mean this?" She asked, shaking a vial back and forth.

"Turns out he was as useless as his human counterpart."

She spat out as she tossed me the vial.

"What did you do with Ezra's body?"

I was trying to remain calm. But given the situation, I was beginning to lose the internal battle.

"Oh, simple. I just pushed him through a portal to another country so the humans could deal with his body. His eyes were freaking me out."

That was all I could handle before the anger bubbled over and I attacked. My body moved without me asking it to.

The power raging inside. Trying to contain it was like trying to stop a tornado with my bare hands, it was impossible.

Different shadows seeped from my palms as they surrounded her. I now used dark magic twice in one day. I was on a roll and I wasn't sure it was a good one either.

"I underestimated you little luna. You're more powerful than I gave you credit for. But you're going to have to do better than that if you wish to defeat the almighty one."

"I plan to do just that."

I dipped my gloved hand into my pocket before pulling out the contents I brought with me. I blew the dust I'd grown to despise in her face while my shadowed figures circled her like the prey she was about to become. She coughed before looking up to me with fear etched into her face.

"What... What did you do to me?"

So it worked on witches too, perfect. Although I still wasn't sure what it was composed of completely, I didn't care, it did its job.

"This is cheating!" She screamed as her body visibly started to weaken before my eyes.

"All is fair in love and war."

Sibil charged anyhow. But my powers felt lighter. I used that to my advantage as I shoved my palm forward. Fire burned through my palms as the charging shadowed figures attacked her. I sat and watched as Sibil screamed in pain. One figure had a flaming sword to which he drove into her abdomen. The other had a whip, which they d tightened around her neck, holding her in place while making her gasp for air. I stalked forward, eager to wrap my own hands around her throat. I wanted to feel her struggle as her lungs begged for air.

I lifted my clenched fist before slamming it into her face, a c***k following the contact.

"My-" A gurgling sound could be heard as she struggled to breath against the whips tightened hold. "Nose!"

"This is for Ezra and Kingston!" I said as another punch collided with her face. "And this is for my kids and ME!" I screamed while my fist continuously hit her.

By the time I was finished, she was unrecognizable. But once the dust wore off, she would recover quickly. But for now, I burned the image of her beaten to a bloody pulp in my mind.

"Take her to the palace." I said to the shadowed figures.

They obeyed with pleasure, pulling their chains, making her walk like a prisoner.

Once we entered the palace, silence filled the air.

'Is Zola okay?' I quickly mindlinked to Lucy

We went to get some food and when we returned, Zola was healed. The doctors are speechless. He did it, T. He broke the curse!' She responded as a deep voice spoke from the shadows. "We meet again, Sibilance."

"No, anyone but you." She begged.

"Our deal is done." I said, addressing Josiah before speaking to the shadowed figures. "Release her." I said before turning back to look at him. "Take Sibil and leave. Never return."

"Oh, on the contrary, You'll be seeing me again. Maybe years, maybe not. I saw something that piqued my interest."

He said as he tossed the vile of his blood to me.

Wait, if he didn't give Zola his blood yet, how was she healed?
