Chasing My Rejected Luna -
Chapter 76
TEGAN'S P.O.V
I simply ignored his request. The dude didn't even ask my name before jumping straight to the point of what he desired.
"You think you're too good for me? Back home all the girls fell at my feet wanting a piece of this d**k." He grabbed my arm aggressively.
My eyes connected with his as I let Gemma come forward, just a little.
"Do I look interested or like one of your whores back home? If I ignored your request it means I am not interested. I advice you to leave me the f**k alone." I said with a hint of irritation. "Whatever, you're not that hot anyway. Any other girl would kill to have a night with me, Aiden Parks. Alpha Heir of the Parkview Pack."
"Let my arm go before you lose feeling in those fingers, Mr.Parks." I said in a threatening tone.
I was over his behavior. Trying to throw his rank at me as if that made a difference. I could feel Ezra's eyes glaring at my back but surprisingly he hadn't acted a fool as I had expected him to. "Threaten an Alpha again and you will regret ever speaking." He replied as he let go of my arm.
Leaving an angry red print from where he grabbed so hard. He walked away and onto the next poor girl that appeared to be alone. I turned around where Ezra stood fuming but not moving. I could see in his eyes how badly he wanted to hurt the ignorant Alpha Heir. 'You're doing so good. I decided to mind-link him so that he could calm down a little.
The rest of the night was mostly uneventful. I got to people watch getting a decent idea of what some of the applicant that showed up were truly like. I talked to a few but none made an impression I cared to see in an Alpha. Most of the ones I watched were arrogant and walked around as if their shit didn't stink.
I was beginning to get a little hot so I removed the scarf Imagen had made me, giving it to Ezra before deciding to go get a drink. Ezra sat at a table with Elias the entire time, not socializing. I was thankful he was being a good sport and taking the L while I mingled. But I also felt guilty because he wasn't moving around at all. I guess with a baby, it warded others away from talking to him as well. Anytime I looked over to them, not a single person was trying to talk to him.
When heading to grab a drink for Ezra and I, I could see Allie openly throwing herself at Aiden. It didn't surprise me, she was so much like her mother it was sickening. I took a sip of my drink as I listened in for a moment.
"Want to take this to my room?" Allie's sultry voice asked as Aiden's hand rubbed up and down her bare thigh.
"Pretty sickening, right?" Fredrick's voice asked beside me.
"Are you meaning to tell me that you wouldn't take an offer of a girl throwing herself at you like that?"
"I wasn't exactly the favorite Alpha. I was always the backup if Darion wasn't interested."
"And you still, you know, went for it even knowing it wasn't you that they really wanted?" I asked.
"Goddess no. It was tempting, don't get me wrong. But who really wanted a redhead freckled nerd? It was the status they were seeking, not me." He replied as he took a sip of his beverage. "You're not ugly, Fredrick." I responded, sensing where he was going.
"But I am no Darion." He said. We both then looked over to where Darion sat. Some random girl in his lap laughing a fake hysterical laugh.
I cut my eyes over to Jessie, wanting to gouge her reaction. Jealousy swirled in her eyes. I wondered if anyone else picked up on it as well or if I could only see it because of what I now knew.
"But that's okay, I am waiting for my mate anyways." He said, bringing me back to the conversation.
I looked at him before sniffing the air, realizing at that moment, he wasn't lying. I smelled no partners on him. He was a 22 year old Alpha virgin. A rare replace indeed.
"Good for you, that's not a bad thing." I said.
"I thought I scented her earlier but then it was gone. It's faintly near you, were you possibly around any girls that smelt like rain?"
"I wasn't paying attention, sorry." I said, feeling bad.
I hadn't been focussing on any females, my main goal was the applicants. I was wanting to see their unfiltered personalities. Luckily only a few didn't show up so I managed to get a good idea about a lot of them. Some weren't nearly as bad as others but it was still hard to tell.
"The question was a long shot. Did you at least get any critical information tonight?"
"What do you mean?" I asked, confused.
"Well, you seemed to only be interested in the Alpha Heirs. One can only assume it was either interviewing them or watching them. So did you manage to get anything good?"
"You're exceptionally observant." I said with my eyes hooded looking at his smiling face.
"I didn't get where I am today by being retarded and non observant." He said as we began to walk towards the table Ezra sat at.
"I guess that has some truth to it." I replied as I handed Ezra the drink I got for him.
The night was beginning to come to an end. I looked around, and most people had slowly begun to take their leave. Allie was nowhere in sight. Jessie was standing at fathers side telling the others bye. However, her eyes were glued on Darion. The girl was now sucking his face. "So, you leave tomorrow morning." Fredrick said, bringing my attention back to him.
For as observant as he claims to be, how had he lived under the same roof and not notice the tension or jealousy happening with them?
"We do." Ezra answered for me.
"It was good seeing you at least. I'm happy that you're doing so well. You needed to get away from this hell hole." Fredrick said as he looked around at the remaining members.
"Can I point something out?" I asked, ignoring his statement.
"Of course."
"You claim to be so observant yet things are happening under the same roof as you and you seem oblivious to. I mean apparently I was too, but in my defense I hardly was able to leave my room." I said.
"Do you mean the whole Darion and Jessie mess?" He asked, making me surprised.
"So you do know?"
"They aren't exactly discret. I'm surprised our idiot father doesn't yet know." He said laughing.
"For as smart as our father thinks he is, I'd have to agree, he is an idiot."
An aggressive growl erupted out, making us turn to see our very angry father.
