EZRA'S

P.O.V

The growl made Kingston come forward faster than normal. A natural instinct to protect. I stood up eyeing the old man in his face for trying to show intimidation.

"Is there a problem?" I asked as a statement rather than a question.

Drake's demeanor immediately faltered as he took a step back. I knew my eyes and aura were unmatched. Kingston wouldn't allow a threat to present itself to his mate, let alone a man thinking he could intimidate someone solely because he used to. "She disrespected me one too many times." Drake hissed through the gap in his front teeth.

"She can say as she pleases. Especially if the truth is all she speaks." I said as I rose even higher, showing him he had no intimidation over me.

"Sh...Sh...She called me a...a...an idiot." He said as his words came out more of a stuttering whisper.

"If the shoe fits." Tegan said with a low chuckle.

"HOW DARE YOU!" Drake hollered as he came forward with his hand raised.

I quickly hopped over the table, only for Fredrick to stand in front of Tegan. His father struck his face instead.

"Get out of the way boy, what have I told you about trying to stand up for her! Do I need to remind you what happens to those who deliberately disobey me!" Drake roared.

"You can try, but you will not lay a finger on her again. I may have turned a blind eye for all those years but I won't anymore." Fredrick said.

"Oh I see, you want to impress her so she'll give you the Alpha position at Silverline."

"No, I very well know I don't have a chance at being their Alpha. Not with never standing up to you or anyone else for hurting her. But I want to do better. I will do better." Fredrick replied.

"You'll never be better. You're just pitiful and ignorant." Drake screamed, making Fredrick blink trying to hold back his tears.

"What, are you going to cry? See, you're weak. You're both a disgrace. Both, weak just like your mother." Drake spit out making Tegan roar with anger.

"Speak about my mother again and I will have your tongue!"

"Yeah, like you could do such a thing. I am an Alpha, you are a mutt! Just like your mom before you!" Drake hollered as Tegan's eyes shined red. The same bright red from when she didn't remember a thing. "You'll regret that." She said with the most vile scary laugh I had ever heard.

"What kind of trick is this!" Drake screamed as Tegan held her arms in the air, swirling her fingers in a circle.

The vines of the pants around the room began to circulate as they moved in the directions of her hands.

"What is this witchery!" Drake hollered again. While everyone else stood in silence afraid of moving. Aside from me, I moved to stand next to her, laying a hand on her shoulder. "Tegan love, it's okay." I said.

"Oh, I know." She replied as her lip turned upward in a half grin.

"What are you doing?" I asked, trying not to anger her further. I may not be the most hated, but I also knew I wasn't on the top of her good side either.

"Something I should have done long ago. Let's see how he likes being made fun of for not being able to speak correctly." She said as the vines wrapped around Drake, pinning him to the wall.

"OH GOD, SOMEONE DO SOMETHING!" Jessie screamed in horror. "DARION DO SOMETHING!" She screamed, but Darion dared not to move. "ALL OF YOU ARE WEAK!" Jessie hollered as she ran at Tegan.

Tegan took a hand waving it to the side as a gush of air came from nowhere, hitting Jessie so hard she flew into the wall.

"Next one to interrupt my play time will regret it." Tegan said, her eyes never leaving her fathers hanging figure. "Now... Where was I... Hmm... Oh yeah, I remember." She said in a giggle that even sent chills down my spine. She fluttered her hand as a random fire bolt appeared in her palm. Inching her way forward. She grabbed her father by the face. His body physically shaking in fear.

"Please, I'm sorry. Please Queen. Please don't." He began to beg. Only Tegan didn't care. She opened his jaw.

"Daughter, please!" He begged, making her let his face go, the fire in her palm going out instantly.

"Daughter? You dare call me daughter!?" She screamed.

The flames of the candles all around shot up rising with her anger. Tears freely streamed down Drake's face while a visible wet spot was on the crotch of his jeans from pissing himself. "What was it that you just called Fredrick again? Pitiful, arrogant... And what was the last one dear ole daddy?" She asked with her head tilted to the side, the wicked grin on her face. "Please..." Was all he replied.

"No, that wasn't it... Fredrick, what was the last one again?" Tegan asked, still not breaking eye contact with Drake.

"We...Weak." Fredrick muttered out.

"Weak like what?" Tegan asked again.

"Like our mother."

"That's it. Weak like our mother. But the only weak thing about our mother was loving a fool like you." Tegan said, the flame now back in her palm.

"DARION, HELP ME!" Drake screamed.

Darion was so scared he hadn't moved a muscle.

"Are you sure that's the last thing you want to say?" Tegan asked.

The realization that she was going to kill her father settled in. I moved closer to try and stop her when her head snapped to me.

"Don't even think about it, Ezra." She said, anger present in her tone.

Right then and there I knew not to stop her, no matter how badly I wished I could. She doesn't want to kill him, she'd regret it forever. She began walking to Drake again, opening his mouth.

"I guess it's only right that begging the weaker son should be the last thing you get to say. That way when you think about him, all you feel is disappointment from watching him sit there scared. It will help reminding you who the weakest child really is." Tegan spat out before pulling a knife from a sheath tied around her leg, under her dress.

Blood started pouring from Drake's mouth. His tongue fell out as it bounced onto the floor. She then put the flame against what remained, cauterizing it. The sounds of sizzling and crackling could be heard along with his screams. Once done she backed away looking at her work.

"Say something." She then said Drake was still crying in agony and fear. "Oh come on, cat got your tongue?" She asked with a chuckle. "Well no cats will enjoy that tongue anymore, not that she wasn't enjoying Darion's behind your back anyway." She said with another laugh as the vines slowly began to release their hold.

I wasn't sure if I was thrilled by what she was capable of, or just completely turned on by everything she could do.
