Crushed Affections (Dominic and Bella)
Chapter 338 A Dog and a Bone

Sylvia served all of the food she made onto the table before leaving with Dominic.

Looking at the hot food on the table, Bella was filled with a mix of emotions. But her feelings for Dominic were now leaning toward exasperation.

She was feeling quite full after she finished eating, so she went to the couch and looked at her phone.

Dominic had sent her a message not long after he left her house, "You'd better apologize to me."

She pursed her lips and replied, "Why should I apologize? I didn't say anything wrong."

Dominic was furious and immediately called her. "Are you that excited to see me get married? Are you just trying to get away from me? Are love and relationships just a game to you?"

She was full and in a good mood, so she ignored his anger and said softly, "I've always treated relationships seriously, but it's so tiring to be in a one-sided relationship. I've thought things through and decided to let you go. Isn't that normal? It's not like you don't have a number of people wanting to pursue you. Don't tell me you just enjoy the feeling of being chased. Are you a bone or something?"

He replied angrily, "Are you a dog?"

She was momentarily speechless before she asked, "By the way, how did you get into my house?"

Dominic did not answer her question and hung up the phone immediately.

Bella felt emotionally drained. What on earth was going on in his head? When she was infatuated with him, he had been indifferent, even disdainful. Now that she was over him, he seemed unsettled. After that call, Dominic did not contact or reach out to her again.

Bella figured he might actually be angry, or maybe his little burst of interest in her had worn off. Since she was still learning to let go and keep her composure, she didn't reach out to him either.

In the blink of an eye, the holidays were over. However, the holidays did not apply to those working in healthcare.

Bella had been collecting some files at the nurses' station when someone suddenly grabbed her from behind and gave her a slap.

She was stunned. The nurses were also shocked as they hurriedly called for security.

When she returned to her senses, Bella realized that Yelena and Gloriana were standing before her.

She immediately lost her temper and roared, "This is a hospital! If you two are suffering from brain damage or something, you two can head over to see a neurologist!"

Yelena was the one who had slapped her. She was just as arrogant and narcissistic as she had been when they had met at Sawyer Manor.

Gloriana seemed a bit more hesitant but didn't stop Yelena.

Yelena forcefully dragged Bella to the stairs where there was no one around and yelled, "You were the one who had Dominic fire my sister, weren't you?"

It was only then Bella remembered that the holidays were over. Dominic had told her that he would fire Gloriana, but she never expected him to do as she said.

The two sisters had probably waited a few days before coming here to confront her.

She did not deny anything as she wiped the blood from the corner of her mouth and said, "Sure, let's say it was me. What now? Are you still trying to make me pay despite the fact that you're struggling now?"

Yelena immediately grabbed Bella's hair and pulled it roughly. Bella didn't fight back as she quietly reached into her pockets to replace her phone and start recording the situation.

Gloriana was afraid that things would escalate, so she said quietly, "Let's forget it, Yelena. What if something happens? Venting our anger will be enough."

Yelena looked at her in

dissatisfaction. "I'm helping you

here. How can you be so ungrateful? Didn't you hear what she just said? She just called us desperate and mocked our family. She thinks that Dominic will back her up. But if that were true, she wouldn't be here working her ass off."

Gloriana felt like Yelena was making sense and slowly grew bolder. "In that case, be quick with it. The hospital's security guards will come soon."

Bella smiled mockingly. "Don't worry.

Even if you can escape from the security guards, you won't be able escape from the police. You can continye hitting me, and I won't retaliate. I would love to see how arrogant the Klein family can be now."
