Love Comes To Me
Chapter 1006: Such a coincidence

Not long after, Eloise emerged from the fitting room.

The tailored lines of the dress outline her slender waist, and the muted bright yellow colour sets off her temperament, making her look extraordinarily beautiful and appealing. Brimlad's eyes flashed in awe as he complimented, "Eloise, you look so good in that!"

"Is that so?"

Eloise couldn't help but smile and glance at herself in the full-length mirror.

"It's really pretty." A shop assistant on the side also came out with a compliment.

Eloise thought this one was good too and she nodded, "This one then."

"No more looking at the others?" Brimlad asked.

While the dress did look good on her, it again seemed a little too conservative.

Eloise didn't want to try it on anymore, so she put her arm around Brimlad's shoulders and said, somewhat petulantly, "Auntie, can we stop picking? Let's just have this one, I really like it." Brimlad could only compromise by nodding her forehead, "All right then, you like it best."

Turning her head she had the shop assistant wrap it up and was about to pay when she was stopped by Eloise.

"Auntie, I'll do it myself."

With that, she drew out her bank card and handed it to the clerk.

Brimlad gave her a look, "You child, what's different about me paying?"

"I'm a grown-up, I have money."

Brimlad lost his smile, "Wouldn't that be a gift from me, no?"

Eloise thought seriously, "If you want to give me a gift, you can give something else."

"So what do you like?" Brimlad asked, following her words down the line.

"There are so many things I like, so I'll talk about them later."

Brimlad was about to ask for more information when the shop assistant approached with the shopping bags containing the dresses.

"Madam, here is your dress."

Eloise took it, "Thanks."

Exiting the shop, Eloise looked around and inclined her head to ask Brimlad's opinion, "Where are we going to buy a present? What would he like for his second uncle?" "Your second uncle loves nothing more than a cup of tea."

At that, Eloise raised an eyebrow, "Tea then?"

Brimlad shook his head, "There are people who give tea leaves, you can just give a tea set. I'll take you to a shop that specialises in tea sets."

With those words, Brimlad led her in the direction of the lift.

"Auntie, where is the shop you mentioned?" Eloise asked as she walked.

"It's in the old street behind the mall."

The place Brimlad was talking about, Eloise was aware of.

That old street is well known in City J, but there are more antique shops there, never seen any tea service shops.

There are not many people on the old street in the morning and some shops are not even open yet.

"Where is it? Little Auntie." Eloise looked left and right, but she just didn't see a tea service shop.

Brimlad raised his chin, "It's just up ahead."

Eloise looked in the direction she said and still didn't see a tea service shop.

After walking for about two or three minutes, they finally reached the entrance of the tea service shop.

A modest shop that looks very dated.

"Let's go inside."

Brimlad pulls Eloise into the shop.

There was only one old man in the shop.

The old man just glanced at them lightly before looking back down at the newspaper in his hand.

Not at all as welcoming as the clerks in other shops.

Brimlad was unimpressed as she turned to Eloise and said, "Here are all the finest tea sets, take your pick."

Eloise looked at the tea set on the display and nodded, "Good."

She doesn't know anything about tea sets, but she generally picks the ones that look good.

Soon she had her eye on a celadon tea set.

"Grandpa, I want this tea set." She raised her voice towards the old man who was seriously reading the newspaper.

At that, the old man put down the newspaper in his hand, got up, walked slowly over, looked at the tea set she was talking about and asked in a medium voice, "Are you sure you want this set?" Eloise nodded, "Well, I'll take that."

The old man was about to reach out and take the whole tea set down when a clear, sweet voice came from the doorway.

"Grandpa."

Eloise frowned slightly, why did that voice sound familiar?

She twisted her head around to see that it was Earlene.

"Earlene!" she couldn't help but exclaim in surprise.

The other person was equally surprised to see her, "Eloise, what are you doing here?"

"I've come to buy a tea set." Eloise looked at the old man and then at Earlene and raised her eyebrows, "Do you ... know each other?"

Earlene stepped forward to take the old man's arm and said with a smile, "This is my grandfather."

She then introduced the old man, "Grandpa, this is my friend, Eloise."

"Hello, Grandpa." Eloise called out in a good and polite manner.

She couldn't help but feel in her heart that it was such a small world.

"Hello." The old man changed his indifferent attitude from earlier and said smilingly, "Since you are Earlene's friend, grandpa will give you a discount today."

At these words, Eloise was flattered and she glanced at Earlene before happily thanking him, "Thank you, Grandpa."

While the old man and Earlene were taking the tea set to be packed, Eloise said rather excitedly, "Auntie, how do you think it is such a coincidence that I can meet Earlene even though I am just buying a tea set, and this shop is also owned by Earlene's family."

Brimlad looked to Earlene, who was beside the old man, and asked curiously, "Is this friend of yours seeing someone?"

Hearing her ask this, Eloise couldn't help but burst out laughing, causing both the old man and Earlene to look over.

Seeing this, Brimlad hurriedly pulled her to the side, avoiding the old man's gaze on them, and asked again in a whisper, "What are you laughing at, there or not?"

"Auntie, do you remember the girl that your cousin mentioned at dinner earlier?" Eloise asked instead of answering.

Brimlad thought for a moment and nodded, "Remember, what's wrong?"

"That's Earlene my cousin's talking about."

Brimlad's eyes widened in surprise, "Did she and Edgar already know each other?"

"Hmm. Not only do we know each other, we're partners." Eloise glanced at Earlene, who was not far away, and continued, "And, cousin likes her."

When he heard this, Brimlad was overjoyed, "I can't believe that brat is finally getting the hang of it, there's a girl he likes, so I can rest easy."

Seeing how happy she was, Eloise couldn't help but throw cold water on her.

So far it seems that Earlene has no interest in her cousin.

"Eloise, the tea set is packed." Earlene said as she turned towards them.

"Okay, I'm coming."

Eloise hurried over to her and as she was about to take out her money, Earlene pressed her hand.

"I'll give you this one."

Eloise was surprised and hastily refused, "No, how can I take this from you?"

"If you're going to say that, I'm going to be pissed." Earlene glared at her in feigned anger.

Eloise explained helplessly, "No, I bought this as a gift for my second uncle and I had to pay for it myself."
