Love Comes To Me
Chapter 1008: What does this mean?

Before Eloise could think of something to say, Brimlad spoke first, "Hector trusts you two to handle all the company's business." Eloise rushed to echo, "Yeah, just trust you guys."

"It's kind of an honour to have Mr Hector's trust." Earlene smiled and said nothing more.

It was after 1pm when we finished eating and had just walked out of the restaurant when Eloise's mobile phone suddenly rang.

It was Hector calling.

"Hector?" Brimlad asked.

Eloise nodded, then stepped aside with her phone.

Neither of them noticed Earlene's face turn a little strange when she heard the word "Hector".

Eloise picked up the phone and Hector's low voice came through, "Coming home soon?"

"Well, back in a minute."

"Want me to pick you up?"

Eloise turned her head to look at Brimlad and responded, "You don't have to if you're not comfortable."

"Where?" Hector asked bluntly and without nonsense.

Eloise hung up after giving him the address.

She walked back to Brimlad, "Little Aunt, Hector is coming over to pick us up."

Brimlad frowned, "Wouldn't that be too much trouble?"

"He's already coming over." Eloise said.

Brimlad gave a helpless smile, "Well, let's wait for him out front then."

Following that, she said to Earlene, "Earlene, we'll go first, you can go straight back to your grandfather's shop."

"I'm not going back to the shop, I happen to be going to the front too, let's join."

With that, Earlene stepped forward and took her arm in an intimate manner.

Brimlad was a little dismayed but didn't think much of it.

The three arrived outside the main entrance of the mall and Eloise immediately spoke up, "Earlene, Hector isn't coming that soon, you have work to do." Earlene laughed, "I'm in no hurry, I'll see that you get in the car before I go."

Seeing how polite she was, Brimlad was so pleased with her that he wanted to introduce his son to her right then and there.

"Earlene, come to my house sometime in the future and my aunt will make you something delicious." Brimlad said as he held back his thoughts and gently patted Earlene's hand. "Yeah, I'll definitely be there when I get the chance." Earlene agreed without hesitation.

After about ten minutes, Hector arrived.

He pulled over to the side of the road and opened the door to get out of the car and walk towards Eloise and the girls.

He walked up to Eloise and naturally took the bag she was carrying.

Seeing this, Brimlad couldn't help but laugh and tease, "Hector, you really do have too much heart for Eloise."

Hector hooked his lips slightly and didn't say anything.

In Eloise's presence, Hector is a different person, a little more gentle than his usual stern self.

Earlene squeezed her palms together, pushed down the jealousy in her heart, curled her lips and called out warmly, "Mr Hector."

Hector flicked his eyes up and swept her lightly, "Hello, Miss Earlene."

A detached and indifferent tone.

Earlene's heart choked and her smile became a little forced, "Hello."

Hector took Eloise's hand and said to Brimlad, "Little Aunt, let's go back."

"Good." Brimlad turned his head to look at Earlene and realised that she looked a little worse for wear, and hastened to ask with concern, "Earlene, are you all right?" Earlene shook her head, "I'm fine, you guys take care on the road."

Eloise smiled at her, "You be careful too."

As she watched them walk towards the car, Earlene's face went cold, her hands falling to her side clenched so tightly that she felt no pain even when her nails sank into her palms.

...

Eloise spent the next few days in hospital with her mother, during which time Hector made a trip back to City J.

It was Devona's birthday and Eloise was shouted up early in the morning by Brimlad.

"Although we are guests, your second aunt asked us to come over and help out." Brimlad said.

Eloise had a question mark on her face, "Help? Isn't there a maid?"

Brimlad spread his hands, "I don't know."

Eloise had no choice but to get up and wash up and change her clothes.

Over breakfast, Brimlad asked, "Can Hector come today?"

"Should be fine, he told me last night he'd probably be there around this afternoon." Eloise replied as she ate.

Brimlad nodded, "Then have him go straight to your second uncle."

"Good."

After breakfast, Eloise and Brimlad set off for the cottage where the Devona family live.

When they got there, second aunt Silvia greeted them warmly as soon as she saw them, "Sister-in-law, Eloise, you're here at last, come and sit inside." People are in good spirits.

Today Silvia is dressed to the nines, with a smile that folds her face and hides her eyes.

Upon entering the house, Eloise saw Goode yawning as he came down the stairs.

The small face instantly went cold and she tightened her grip on Brimlad's hand.

Brimlad sensed something was wrong and turned his head to see her face was not right and hastily asked, "Eloise, what's wrong with you?"

Eloise took a deep breath and squeezed out a small smile, "I'm fine. Just saw something bad and it affected my mood." "The bad stuff?"

Brimlad followed her line of sight, and at the sight of Goode, it became instantly clear.

She squeezed Eloise's palm, "Don't be afraid, no one can bully you with your little aunt and uncle around."

The emotion instantly flooded over her and Eloise smiled and nodded, "Yeah, I know."

Goode saw Eloise and snorted disdainfully before simply ignoring her and walking past her.

Eloise couldn't help but look back at his back, her eyes narrowed slightly, today he would have to pay for what he had done.

Silvia's supposed request for them to come over early to help was nothing more than helping to entertain the guests.

Looking at the steady stream of guests, Brimlad's brow furrowed and he muttered, "I thought we weren't going to have a big party, but why are there so many guests?" Eloise heard it and said coldly, "They really can't be trusted with their words, Grandpa is still lying in hospital and they really aren't afraid of being laughed at." Brimlad thought about it, "No, I'll have to ask."

With that, she was about to go to the Devona couple.

"Don't go." Eloise pulled her back in a hurry, "Will they listen to you if you go?"

"I have to say it even if I don't listen. Otherwise outsiders will think that the Khan family is ungrateful as a whole."

She pulled away from Eloise's hand and struck out towards Devona and the others.

Eloise could only follow helplessly.

"Second brother and sister-in-law, what do you mean by this?"

Devona and Silvia are a little confused by Brimlad's questioning.

"What's wrong?" Devona asked.

Brimlad took a deep breath, suppressed his anger and pointed at the guests present, "I thought we were having a casual dinner as a family, but why are we inviting so many guests? What is the meaning of this?" "I ...," Devona said, momentarily at a loss for words.

At this point, Silvia smiled and said, "Sister-in-law, it's Devona's whole birthday, so I thought I'd invite more guests to liven things up."
