Love Comes To Me
Chapter 1010: It's a burden to you

"This young lady, can you please go back first and we'll talk it over when the party is over, okay?"

Devona asked the woman in a consultative tone.

The woman didn't give him any face, "No! I know I'm never going to see Goode again after I leave this door today."

I can't see that this woman is quite clever.

Silvia stepped forward, a smile piled on her face, and advised gently, "I know Goode is sorry, but it's Goode's dad's birthday party today, and I want you to do us some favours, okay?" "Give you face, then who will give me and the child an account?"

With that, the woman suddenly cried, "Do you think I want to come here and make a scene? If it weren't for the baby in my belly, I wouldn't have died to come." "How sad. Anymore the child is innocent."

"Yeah, in the end it's Goode who's so uncalled for, knocking up other girls and not being responsible for it."

"Looks like I'm going to have to go back and teach my daughter never to replace someone like Goode."

...

There were murmurs from the guests, who made no secret of the mockery of Goode in their tone.

Devona was shaking with anger as he bellowed the order, "Get her out of here!"

At that, Silvia was horrified and rushed to stop it, "No, she's holding ..."

Before the words could be spoken, someone screamed out, "It's bleeding, it's bleeding!"

Devona and Silvia turned their heads to see that the tip of the broken red wine bottle had sunk into the woman's muscle. The blood was pouring out of her skin.

It was clear that the woman was completely unconcerned with her life.

If it were any other day, Devona and the others would probably have left her alone, but today, with so many people watching, they couldn't.

"Just calm down." Devona tried to reassure the woman, "Let's talk about what's going on."

The woman stared dead at Goode, "I'll go back immediately if you let Goode marry me." "This..." Devona was in a dilemma.

If he had said yes, it would have been a disgrace for Goode to marry a woman like that.

If not, the woman might actually die here, and the Khan family would be equally humiliated.

"Just say yes to her, you're all pregnant with your Khan family's baby anyway." Someone shouted this.

The others chimed in, shouting for Devona and Silvia to agree to the women's demands.

At that moment, Baggott approached, and, looking at the Devona couple, who looked extremely pale, he said to the woman, "Since you already have Goode's child, we, the Khan family, will certainly give you an account. But today is not the occasion to talk about such things."

The woman stared at him, not speaking.

"You put the bottle down first, it's not worth hurting yourself for a man." Eloise came over too.

At the sound of her voice, the woman's eyes flickered.

Eloise looked around at the people and continued, "Children are the most innocent of all, and by hurting yourself you are hurting him."

The woman slowly dropped her hand holding the broken bottle as she persuaded her to do so.

The butler and maids at the side immediately went up to control her.

Devona gave a dark wink and they comprehended it and were about to drag the man out.

"Ergo, it's not right for you to do that, is it?" Baggott questioned in a voice before the butler could do anything.

"Third brother, you!" Devona gritted her teeth, annoyed that he wasn't on his side at this time.

"Brimlad," Baggott called to Brimlad, "you take the young lady down to rest and we'll sort out Goode and her business when the party is over." "Sandi!" Devona and Silvia were both anxious at the sound of it.

Baggott turned his head, "Ergo, I don't think the Khan family can afford to lose face with so many guests around."

At this point, Devona and Silvia could not say anything, but watched as Brimlad took the woman upstairs.

Not far away, Eloise and Hector watched the farce in silence.

"That's what you call a good show?" Hector asked.

Eloise raised her eyebrows, "How's that? Is it good?"

"You know that woman?"

"Don't know it."

Hector looked at her sideways.

Eloise met his eyes and curled her lips in a smile, "I really don't know her, I found her through someone else, but never met her, just spoke on the phone." "You planned this very early on?"

That time she was almost insulted by Goode and he was going to take a shot at Goode but she stopped him, she said she would do it herself.

Is this what this farce is all about today?

Eloise nodded, "Doesn't he like to have fun? I'm going to show him that women aren't that easy to bully, just so he'll be planted on them for the rest of his life."

Most of all, she really couldn't stand to see Goode disrespecting women, so she wanted to teach him a lesson.

"Do you think Goode will compromise?"

In Hector's view, Goode was no pushover and was unlikely to compromise and do as he was told this time.

Eloise laughed, "That woman is not easy, she may look soft but she's actually very scheming, Goode is no match for her I'm afraid."

Not wanting to know that much, Hector put his arm around Eloise's shoulders and said, "Don't worry about what happens after that, leave it to your brother-in-law and sister-in-law." He didn't want her to get involved, otherwise there was no telling what Goode and the others would do when they found out.

"I don't want to care either." Eloise brushed her lips, "I just wanted to teach Goode a lesson anyway, and it served its purpose." Seeing Goode's wimpy face today was a relief, and it was up to the woman to decide how she wanted things to go after that. After a good show, Eloise felt a little hungry.

"Hector, I'll get some food over here."

Having said that, she didn't wait for Hector's reaction before striding towards the buffet table.

Earlene kept her eyes on Hector and Eloise, and as soon as she saw Eloise walking away, her face lit up with joy and she hurried over to them.

"Mr Hector," she said as she walked up to him and looked at him with a smile on her face.

Hector gave her a faint look.

He exudes an aura of a stranger.

Earlene didn't flinch, still smiling and raising her glass, "Mr Hector, may I offer you a toast?"

Hector still ignored her, his eyes falling straight on the figure bobbing in front of the dining table not far away.

Earlene's expression became slightly embarrassed as she followed his gaze, a hint of jealousy surfacing in her eyes.

"Mr Hector and Eloise have such a great relationship." She said with a reluctant smile.

Still ignoring her.

A wave of irritation came over her and she couldn't hold it in for a moment, "Mr Hector, has it ever occurred to you that you and Eloise aren't actually compatible at all?"

At these words, Hector's brow furrowed slightly and his bland expression rippled, becoming slightly displeased.

Earlene didn't notice and continued, "You're suited to a woman who can work with you, who can help you in your career, Eloise is too soft, she's a liability for you."
