Love Comes To Me
Chapter 1016: It's the woman I love the most

Eloise looks out of the window at the flickering landscape, her thin eyebrows furrowed in thoughtfulness.

Hector gave her a sideways glance and asked softly, "What's wrong?"

"Hmm?" Eloise turned her head and met his concerned gaze, the corners of her mouth curving slightly, "Nothing, it's just that suddenly Earlene seems different." "How so?" Hector asked.

"It feels like she thinks I'm not good enough for you." As she said this, Eloise's tone was a little downcast.

Hector's eyes narrowed slightly, what the hell was that Earlene trying to do?

"Hector, am I giving you a lot of trouble?"

Eloise asks in a whisper, her head down, afraid to look at him for fear of hearing an affirmative answer.

Silence fell over the car.

It was half a moment before Hector's low voice rang out from the car, "No."

Eloise turned her head to look at him and asked uncertainly, "Really, you're not just saying that to comfort me, are you?"

She seemed... to be always giving him trouble.

"Fool." A small smile tugged at the corners of Hector's lips and he looked at her with eyes so gentle they were dripping, "You were never a bother to me, not a burden, but the woman I love most." Sweetness and emotion instantly fill the whole heart.

The tip of Eloise's nose couldn't help but sink and she took a deep breath to force back the tears, her voice choking a little, "Thank you, Hector."

His words succeeded in calming her restless heart.

Hector took her hand in his free hand and tightened it, speaking in a tossed voice, "You don't have to care what anyone says, you just have to listen to me." Eloise nodded heavily, "Yeah."

Hector watched the road in front of the car, his eyes cold, he had to replace out what Earlene was up to.

...

Back at the Khan family, a shrill voice was heard just as they entered.

"Sister-in-law, you're really good at what you do, should your second brother and I be grateful to you?" It's second aunt Silvia.

Eloise and Hector looked at each other and walked in quickly.

Not only were Devona and Silvia there, but also the woman who caused the trouble last night and Goode.

Eloise couldn't help but be nervous, she was afraid the woman would give herself up.

"What's going on, little aunt?" She asked in a whisper as she walked over to Brimlad.

"It's fine, you and Hector go upstairs and don't bother."

Brimlad didn't want them to get involved in this.

Silvia was not happy when she heard this, "What are you letting them up for, are you afraid they will know you have evil intentions?"

Silvia's tone was so sarcastic and uncomfortable for Eloise to hear that she couldn't help but voice out, "Second Aunt, how can you talk about your little aunt like that?"

"How come I can't say that? She knows this woman is not a good person and she wants Goode to marry her, what do you think she is if not evil-intentioned?"

Silvia pointed angrily at the woman with her head bowed to one side.

Eloise looked over at the woman, who was still dressed in the same clothes as last night, cloaked and looking a little miserable.

"Isn't she pregnant with Cousin Goode's baby?" Eloise asked.

"A child?" Silvia snorted, "Just that kind of woman, who knows if her baby is Goode's."

At these words, the woman stood up and shouted at the top of her voice, "My baby is Goode's, and if you don't admit it, I can have it identified."

"Are you allowed to talk here? You shut up!" Silvia yelled back, her chest heaving violently with anger.

Brimlad sighed with a bit of a headache, "Okay, let's all stop fighting."

She looked to Goode, "Goode, tell aunt, is the baby yours?"

Goode kept his head down and didn't make a sound.

His silence says it all.

"Second sister-in-law, the child is innocent and since it is our Khan family's child, we have to admit it!"

Brimlad sighed heavily again, "Dad would have let Goode marry someone else's girl too, if he was awake."

"Don't use Dad as a backstop!" Silvia glared at the woman and gritted her teeth, "You want Goode to marry her unless I die!"

When the woman heard this, she cried out, "Can your Khan family be so bullying just because they have a big and powerful family? I want to replace the media to expose Goode as a heartless and ungrateful scum. ..." The corners of Eloise's mouth twitched as she looked at the woman who was crying her eyes out.

All gentry care about their reputation.

As soon as she heard she was going to the media, Devona, who had been silent, got anxious, "No, you must never go to the media for exposure, we can give you a sum of money, you get rid of the baby, you are still young, you can replace someone better than Goode."

Being a grandmother of the Khan family is much better than a fortune as long as you are not stupid.

"I don't want it! Why should I have to abort the baby?! Ooooooooo... you can't be such bullies!" The woman hissed and yelled, crying out.

Goode's brain hurt from the noise and he couldn't stand it any longer and yelled out, "I'll marry! Can't I marry?"

As soon as he finished yelling, the crying stopped abruptly and silence fell all around.

It took a long time for Silvia to come back to her senses, "Goode, what are you talking about? You don't want to scare mum."

Brimlad and Eloise looked at each other, not knowing for a moment whether Goode was speaking out of desperation or if he meant it.

"I said I'll marry her!"

Goode glared at the woman, "Are you satisfied? Are you satisfied when I say I'll marry you?!!!"

The woman froze for a moment at first, raised her hand to wipe her eyes, changed her face in the process and smiled, "I'm satisfied, I want the wedding to be as grand as it can be."

"Don't you get an inch!" Goode gnashed his teeth in hatred.

The woman didn't show any fear, still smiling, "If you want media exposure, I can make it happen!"

"You!" Goode was so angry that he clenched his fists.

Eloise was really afraid he would throw a punch.

Silvia still couldn't take it, "Goode, are you crazy? Are you really going to marry her?"

"When I say I'll marry her, I mean I will!" Goode yelled at her before turning and running out of the room.

"Goode!" cried Silvia, unable to stop herself from crying out, "What have I done to deserve this?"

"Second sister-in-law, Goode is a man of honour and you should be happy." Brimlad advised gently.

"Happy?" Silvia turned her head and glared at her angrily, "I think you're the one who's happy, are you snickering inside when you let Goode marry a woman like that? I know you've always despised Goode, and now you despise her even more."

This trumped up accusation left Brimlad helpless and she struggled to explain, "Second Sister-in-law, I meant nothing of the sort, nor did I have any such thoughts..."

"Stop it!" Silvia yelled, her eyes glaring at her and Eloise with hate and venom, "Now it's time for you to be pleased that the whole Khan family is yours!"

"Second sister-in-law..." Brimlad was at a complete loss as to how to explain it so she could believe herself.

"Just you wait, I won't make it easy for you."

With those words, Silvia pulled the woman away angrily, and Devona hurried after her.
