Love Comes To Me
Chapter 1018: Is the person she likes Hector?

Eloise played with the two little ones aside while Hector and the others talked about work in the parlour area.

"Solomon, Sweety, you two keep quiet, okay?" Eloise whispered to explain to Solomon and Sweety.

The two little ones were rowdy but nodded knowingly, "Yeah, we know."

Eloise looks up at Hector, who is sitting on the sofa, looking attentive and focused as he listens to Edgar's report.

Even with just a side view, Eloise couldn't take her eyes off her.

Out of the corner of her eye, she caught a glimpse of Earlene and looked over with a slight sideways glance, her thin brow furrowed.

It was clear that Edgar was speaking, but the person Earlene was looking at was Hector.

And that look was so familiar.

Just like ... just like the way she looked at Hector.

A look of undisguised love.

"Eloise, I'm in love with a man."

"I have someone I like, but he's married."

...

The words Earlene had said to her and her brother-in-law rang in her head.

Eloise couldn't help but blush as a startling thought popped into her head.

Is it possible that the person Earlene likes is Hector?

With this in mind, Eloise was a little distracted and couldn't stop thinking about it, so much so that she didn't notice the two young children grabbing toys and fighting over them. "Wow!"

The sudden outburst of crying startled Eloise into withdrawing her thoughts and turning her head to replace Sweety sitting on the floor, bawling her eyes out.

"What's wrong?" Eloise rushed to pick her up.

Sweety cried so hard and complained, "Brother ... brother stole my toys."

"I didn't." Solomon's eyes reddened with aggravation.

"What's going on?" Hector and Edgar and the others came over.

Eloise wiped Sweety's tears as she said, "Two people got into a fight over a toy, it's okay."

"Sweety, be a good girl, Uncle Junior is holding." Edgar carried Sweety over to him.

Eloise rose, her eyes sweeping over Earlene as a strange feeling crossed her mind.

She looked to Hector, "Sorry for the disruption."

A small smile seemed to tug at the corners of Hector's lips, "It's fine."

He looks down at Solomon.

Solomon is clutching a small car in his hand, his mouth is pursed and his eyes are red and he looks aggrieved.

He knelt down, stroked Solomon's head and asked softly, "Tell Daddy, what's going on?"

"I was playing with the little car and Sweety wanted to play too. I said let me play a bit longer and I'll give it to her later, she refused and hit me and I accidentally pushed her down."

At the end of the sentence, Solomon felt he was doing something wrong and his voice trailed off.

Hector stroked his head, turned his head to Sweety in Edgar's arms and asked, "Sweety, is it true what brother said?"

Sweety deflated and didn't answer.

Little girls are often like this, afraid to admit when they have done something wrong.

Eloise scowled and said, "Sweety, did Mummy tell you not to grab toys and did you do it?"

Her voice was a little harsh and Sweety burst into tears of fright.

Seeing this, Earlene said, "Sweety, don't cry, your mummy is not being mean to you, don't be afraid."

Fierce?

Eloise frowned slightly and was about to open her mouth to explain when she saw Earlene take Sweety into her arms and said with a smile, "We adults can't say anything about children's affairs. I'll take Sweety out to calm down and let the two little ones sort themselves out later."

With that said, and without waiting for Hector or Eloise to agree, she carried Sweety out.

Eloise tried to stop it too late.

Edgar, too, was startled by Earlene's actions, and it took him a moment to regain his composure. He turned his head to Eloise and asked uncertainly, "Does she know Sweety well?" Eloise shook her head no.

"And can she coax Sweety to do it?" Edgar was a little unsure.

"I'll go and see."

Eloise prepares to go out, and when she catches Solomon with his head down out of the corner of her eye, she retracts her foot, walks up to him and crouches down. "Solomon."

Solomon looked up, his baby face covered in tears and his eyes red from crying.

Unlike the lively and outgoing Sweety, he has always been quiet and understanding.

Eloise was instantly distressed and reached out to gently wipe the tear stains from his face, her voice gentle as she said, "Solomon, don't cry, you're not wrong and Daddy and Mummy aren't angry." "But sister..."

Solomon wanted to say that he had pushed Sweety down and Sweety must have been very angry with him.

Eloise smiled slightly, "Sis won't be mad at you, she's just sad right now that Mummy just said something about her, I'll just go and coax her."

Solomon sniffled and urged, "Go on then Mummy."

Eloise smiled and nodded, "Yes, I'm on my way."

She got up and said to Hector, "I'll leave Solomon to you guys while I go check on Sweety."

"Be careful." Hector said.

Eloise nodded, before striding out.

...

Earlene took Sweety to the convenience store underneath the Khan Group.

"Sweety, what would you like to eat, Aunty will buy it for you." Earlene asked the little one in her arms tenderly.

With tears still in the corners of his eyes, the little one replied as he sobbed, "I want ice cream." Earlene smiled, "Okay, I'll get you ice cream right now."

Eloise called Earlene and was told that they were downstairs at the convenience store and rushed over there.

When we arrived at the convenience store, we saw Sweety eating an ice cream and the fire was instantly raised.

"Sweety, didn't Mummy tell you that you weren't allowed to have ice cream now?"

Sweety has not been feeling very well lately and Eloise is a little anxious to see her eating frozen food and inevitably her voice is a little louder.

Sweety froze for a moment and then burst into tears with a loud "wow".

Earlene couldn't help but accuse, "You said I'd just gotten her to settle down and she's crying again when you're being mean. That's no way to be a mother."

Eloise was instantly amused as she looked at Earlene incredulously, "Earlene, the baby is mine and it's my business to teach it how I want to, as if it's not your turn to accuse me."

"I didn't mean it like that. I meant to say that the child is young and you need to teach her slowly and not move so loudly." Earlene realised she might have stretched her hand a little too far and hastened to explain. Eloise took a deep breath, "First of all, I didn't move to be loud. Secondly Sweety had a fever only a while ago and wasn't well enough to eat ice cream completely."

"I'm sorry, that's my fault. I bought it for her without knowing the situation."

Seeing that Earlene had apologised, Eloise suddenly felt as if she had gone too far, "I was wrong too, I shouldn't have taken it out on you."

"It's fine."

Earlene turned her head to coax Sweety, "Sweety, Mummy said no ice cream for your health, let's not eat it, okay?"

With that, she was about to take the ice cream out of Sweety's hand.

But Sweety dodged it, crying as she said, "Mummy is biased, Mummy only likes brother, not me."

Feeling hurt by Sweety's comment, Eloise looked at Sweety and softly inquired, "Baby, do you really think Mummy doesn't like you?"

Sweety bit her lip and didn't answer.

Eloise forced a smile, "It would break Mummy's heart for you to say that."

Earlene looked at Sweety and then at Eloise and said, "Eloise, you go back first, I'll coax her."

Eloise glanced at Earlene, looked at Sweety who had turned her face away from her and was at her wits' end but nodded, "Okay, I'll leave it to you then." With that, she turned to leave, when suddenly her head swam with dizziness.

"Eloise!"

"Mummy!"

Before plunging into darkness, she heard Earlene and Sweety's cries of alarm.
