Love Comes To Me -
Chapter 1019: Sending Guests
Hector and Edgar were talking about the new company when Edgar's mobile phone rang abruptly. It's Earlene.
Edgar smiled apologetically at Hector before picking up, "Earlene."
As soon as he spoke, Earlene's panicked voice came from the other side, "Eloise has fainted!"
"What?" Edgar stood up in shock.
Hector looked up at him quizzically.
"Where are you?" Edgar asked after him.
"The convenience store downstairs."
Edgar hung up the phone and turned to Hector hastily, "Hector, Eloise has passed out in the cafeteria."
At these words, Hector's face changed at once and he immediately got up and ran out.
Rushing downstairs, the sight of Eloise lying on the floor hit Hector like a blow to the heart and he rushed over to pick her up.
"Thomas, get Almeida and Orvyn to come to the capital."
His face was cold and sullen, and he ordered as he carried the man out the door.
The voice was as cold as if a layer of ice had formed, so cold that it chilled people to the bone.
Thomas, who had been following behind him, heard his order and answered "yes", immediately pulling out his mobile phone to contact Almeida and Orvyn at City J. Earlene handed Sweety to Edgar and went after her, "I'll drive, I know the nearest hospital."
Hector ignored her and instead shouted in a deep voice, "Thomas!"
Thomas hung up just in time to hear the call and rushed to his side, "Prince."
"You get the car and go back to the old Khan family home."
"Yes."
Thomas took orders and went to the underground garage to drive.
Earlene didn't understand, "People are fainting and they need to be rushed to the hospital to do so."
Hector ignored her and just waited coldly for Thomas to drive up.
Within moments, the black car pulled up in front of Hector with a sharp brake, he pulled open the rear door and bent down to be the first to put Eloise inside. "Mr Hector ..." Earlene was about to say something else.
At this point, Hector spoke coldly, "Miss Earlene."
Cold and distant.
"Hmm?" Earlene stopped speaking and looked up, right into his warmthless eyes, her breath hitched and she froze.
In the next second, the car door was slammed shut without a hint of mercy.
Earlene was stunned for a couple of seconds until the car drove off, and then she came back to her senses, her frustration flooding through her. What a useless thing to be intimidated by such an icy stare from Hector.
"Auntie."
A crunchy voice sounded behind her and Earlene turned around to see Edgar holding a child in one hand.
Edgar smiled helplessly and asked tentatively, "Could you please walk the two children back to the Khan family with me?"
He intended to relieve her.
And Earlene, worried about Eloise's situation, is planning a trip to the Khan family herself.
Now that Edgar has spoken up, she has taken advantage of the situation.
"Yeah."
Edgar was relieved to see that she had agreed.
Before he opened his mouth, he was afraid she would refuse.
But it was good that she said yes.
...
The old Khan family home.
Hector laid Eloise gently on the bed, took off her shoes, tucked her in carefully and reached out to smooth the strands of hair from her cheeks.
She looked like she was asleep.
It was the same situation as the last time I fainted.
It was also after what happened last time that he was able to be so calm this time.
Since the virus in her body was the cause, no doctor could save her even if she was taken to the hospital, the only thing to do now was to wait for Almeida and Sener.
Back at the old Khan family home, Edgar leaves the two children with the housekeeper and takes Earlene upstairs.
They walked outside Eloise's room and Edgar glanced at Earlene and raised his hand to knock on the door.
"Hector, it's me."
After a while, the door to the room opened.
Hector's brow furrowed slightly when he saw Earlene at the door.
Edgar was concerned, "How is Eloise, is she okay?"
"It's okay, it's probably low blood sugar." Because Earlene was there, Hector didn't tell Edgar the real story.
"Low blood sugar?" Earlene frowned, "Since it's low blood sugar, you need to take her to the hospital. If you really don't want to take it to the hospital, I'll do it, I'm also in medical research and can help see what's going on with Eloise." Hector looked icy, not agreeing or refusing.
Earlene thought he didn't believe him, "The Bartram Group also has its own institute, which is run by me. I believe Mr Edgar should be well aware of my level."
She turned her head to Edgar with a hint of pleading in her gaze.
Edgar understood what she meant and spoke up to speak for her, "Hector, you can trust Earlene."
"She's in a situation that you can't solve."
Hector rejected Earlene outright in one sentence.
Earlene couldn't help but screw up her eyebrows, "I won't know if I can fix it until I see it, either."
Edgar did react to what exactly was going on with Eloise and looked to Hector in dismay, asking him to confirm that it was what he thought it was.
Hector was seen nodding slightly.
"Mr Edgar, please help me persuade Mr Hector again. It's really not good for Eloise to drag on like this." Earlene was still holding on.
Edgar thought for a moment and spoke up, "Earlene, I'm afraid this is not something you can fix, so don't worry, Mr Hector he has his own people and will be coming over to Kyoto soon." Earlene is a bit pissed off.
They are underestimating her abilities.
She took a deep breath, "Okay, I can skip the check, but I have to go in and see how she's doing."
Without a word Hector turned and walked into the house.
The door to the room was left open.
Edgar immediately said, "Don't you want to see Eloise? Get in there."
At the word, Earlene hurried inside.
Earlene walked over to the bed and looked at Eloise, who was lying with her eyes tightly closed, her brow furrowed and she reached out to touch her.
But before they could touch, they were stopped by Hector.
Hector looked at her sideways, coldly.
"I just wanted to see if her pulse was positive." Earlene explained.
Fearing that something might be wrong with Eloise, Edgar spoke up, "Shall we have Earlene look at it? She's studying medicine, she always knows more than the two of us." Hector gave him an oblique look and withdrew his hand.
Earlene squeezed Eloise's wrist in a hurry and the room was instantly silent.
It took a moment before Earlene spoke, "The pulse is normal."
Then she looked closely at Eloise's face and hesitated a little, "Why does it look like she's asleep? And the breathing is steady, what's going on here?"
She turned her head to look at Hector in confusion.
Somehow, she always felt that something was wrong with this.
When people faint, they usually rush to the hospital, but Hector instead takes them home and looks anything but cold and anxious.
There was no response from Hector.
Edgar looked at him and then at Earlene, "Earlene, is Eloise in danger now?"
Earlene shook her head, "I don't know the specifics, so I don't know if it's dangerous or not."
"So." Edgar looked over at Eloise on the bed with a worried look on his face.
"Of course, if Mr Hector is willing to tell me the truth, I can replace out if people are in danger." Earlene looked at Hector steadily, waiting for his response. "Edgar, send the guest."
Those thin lips spat out cold words.
This is a response to Earlene.
