Love Comes To Me
Chapter 1029: You know the most about beauty tricks

"President, those directors have left Mr Arlice's office."

Ivor walked up to Edgar and reported the situation on Arlice's side.

Edgar turned his head to look at him and raised his eyebrows, "What's Arlice's reaction?"

"Those directors look very bad, it looks like Arlice is angry."

"Angry?" Edgar smiled coldly, "I'm afraid he won't just be angry next."

"President, what are we going to do now?"

"Let the police continue to pursue the case, we should be able to catch someone in the next two days."

"Then won't there be any results on the warehouse fire by then?" Ivor couldn't help but get a little excited.

"Hmm. So keep an eye on Winchell for a few days and don't let him meet with Arlice or my eldest."

Ivor nodded, "Okay, I'll keep an eye on it."

Edgar smiled, "Tough on you."

"It wasn't hard at all. These are all things I should do."

Ivor had been groomed by the old man and arranged for Edgar by the old man in order to help him get a firm footing in the Khan Group step by step. So Edgar was really grateful to him.

"If there's nothing else, I'll go out and get busy."

Ivor said, and when he saw Edgar nodding slightly, he turned around and went out.

Edgar withdrew his eyes and looked out the window at the distant sky, a hint of determination in his eyes.

This time, no matter what, he was going to make Arlice pay for what he had done.

...

That day, Hector was invited by some friends and offered to take Eloise with him on a date.

Eloise agrees, and since Hector has offered to take her along, it must be a suitable occasion for her to attend.

That evening, she put on some light make-up and went out with Hector.

The party was set in a private room at a five-star hotel, and as soon as she walked in, a cheerful voice rang out, teasingly saying, "If it isn't our busy man, Mr Hector." Eloise looked around and realised that she knew several of the people in the room.

Perez, Rosero and Manzanares.

They were all good friends of Hector's.

They had met the last time at Grandpa Khan's birthday party.

"You've all met before, so I won't introduce you." Hector said with a smile.

That being said, a few of them introduced themselves one by one.

Only when they were done introducing themselves did Eloise greet them with a smile, "Hello guys."

"Brother, why did you have time to bring your sister-in-law out today?" Perez asked with a smile.

Hector glanced sideways at Eloise and the corners of his mouth curled up, "Would you believe me if I said I wanted to see you?"

"No!" The three men said in unison.

Eloise couldn't help but laugh at this.

"How could you possibly want to see us?" Manzanares bristled with a look of utter disbelief.

Hector nodded, "Indeed."

Rosero raised an eyebrow, "That's pretty frank of you, not a single polite word."

"It's not like it's your first day knowing him." Perez gave him a look and turned his head to Hector, his eyes narrowing slightly, "I'm sure it's not easy for you to ask us out today." As he said this, even Eloise turned her head to stare at Hector.

He was silent for a moment before speaking slowly, "Is there a charity dinner tomorrow night?"

Rosero nodded, "Yeah, what's up?"

"Are you going?"

"I don't want to go, these dinners are so boring." Manzanares was the first to say.

"I shouldn't go either." Rosero said, "It's like Manzanares said, it's boring."

"What about you?" Hector looked to Perez.

"I, of course, have to go." Perez shrugged, "Not without going."

"I understand you." Manzanares patted him on the shoulder.

Rosero laughed and looked over at Hector, "You asked if we were going, are you going to go?"

Hector didn't answer directly but said, "There will be a man called Pierce at the dinner, he's from Italy and he's from the SA Group."

"SA Group?" Perez frowned, "Isn't it under government inspection, why do you have the presence of mind to send someone over?"

"On the surface it's under inspection, but in reality the group is operating normally." Hector sneered.

"No. What happened to that man, what's his name Pierce?" Manzanares asked curiously.

Hector pondered for a moment, "I want one of you to make contact with him."

"What do you mean?"

None of the three Perez's men understood what he meant.

"The SA group is working on a deadly virus, and I want you guys to replace a way to get detailed information about it out of him." Viruses and stuff were a bit foreign to Perez and the others.

But Manzanares answered with a big grin, "Sure, wouldn't that be easy? Just replace a woman to approach him."

At this comment, everyone looked at him.

He subconsciously shrank back, "Why are you looking at me, don't you know the beauty trick?"

Rosero patted him on the shoulder and said in a serious voice, "Then I'll leave this to you." Manzanares' eyes widened, "What?"

"Yes, I'll leave it to you, you know the beauty trick best."

Hearing Perez say the same thing, Manzanares became anxious, "I don't want to, I told you I'm not going to this dinner."

Rosero looked at Hector, "Are you sure you don't want to go? This is the first time Hector has asked us to do him a favour." "I..." Manzanares was in a quandary.

It was either go or no go.

"Well, it's not like you're going to lose your skin." Perez said.

Manzanares gritted his teeth and nodded, "Okay, I'll go and bring a big girl with me."

Rosero laughed, "That's the way to go. We're all waiting for your good news."

"Don't worry, brother, I'll do the job you've given me." Manzanares said to Hector in a rare moment of seriousness.

Hector curled his lips, "Good, I'll wait for your good news."

"Would that be too much?" Eloise asked in a small voice.

She really didn't want to cause anyone any trouble.

Hector smiled slightly, "We're all on the same side, there's nothing too much or not too much."

Their conversation was overheard by Manzanares, who quickly agreed, "Sister-in-law, my brother is right, we're all family, you don't have to feel bad or anything."

Eloise didn't expect him to overhear and was a little embarrassed, "I ... I know."

"Well, let's not talk about that. It's been a while since we've all seen each other, so let's talk about something else." Perez said.

The three of them spent the rest of the time afterwards chatting eloquently about everything from the international economy to their personal lives, with just the right amount of rapport. Hector and Eloise, meanwhile, listened quietly, occasionally responding to a few words.

It was almost eleven o'clock before the party was over.

When they got home, Hector parked the car and looked at Eloise, who had fallen asleep, with a gentle light in his eyes.

He put her gently to bed, pulled the covers over her and sat down on the edge of the bed.

The look in Hector's eyes was almost overflowing with affection as he watched her sleeping face.

I hope that Manzanares has got something out of it and that it was not a waste of time.

He leaned in and planted a feather-light kiss on Eloise's brow before getting up and leaving the room.
