Love Comes To Me
Chapter 1032: Trying to be a hero to save the day?

Earlene returned to Rawlins with a heavy heart.

"I want to go back."

Rawlins' face was beaming at the sight of her approaching, but as soon as he heard this, his face instantly sank.

"You just don't want to stay with me that much?"

"I'm tired." Earlene's tone was faint.

"Tired?" Rawlins sneered, "Didn't you just have a nice conversation with Edgar, how come when it comes to me, you're tired?"

At that, Earlene's brow furrowed fiercely, some displeasure evident on her face.

"Or are you already going out with him?" At the question, Rawlins unconsciously held her breath.

"What are you babbling about?" Earlene scolded sternly.

Rawlins narrowed her eyes, "Aren't you?"

Earlene couldn't help but laugh out loud, a laugh that didn't reach the bottom of her icy eyes, "So what if it is, so what if it isn't, is it your turn to care?" "Earlene!" the Rawlins raged.

Looking around, Earlene calmed down instead, "You'd better control your temper with all these people watching. Also, it's not your turn to tell me what to do." Without waiting for his reaction, she turned and walked away.

Rawlins looked at her unfazed back and tilted his head back, pouring his glass of wine into his mouth.

It was so annoying!

When was she going to let go of her prejudices?

Earlene was almost at the door when she saw Pierce and Manzanares' girlfriend coming out of the bathroom.

Did it take so long to clean one suit?

Manzanares' girlfriend had her head down, looking shy.

Pierce, on the other hand, had a spring in his step.

Earlene's mouth curls up in a sneer. Even Manzanares' girlfriend is uncomfortable.

Pierce's eyes lit up when he saw her and he walked over quickly.

"Miss Earlene."

Earlene took a step back and smiled politely, "Mr Pierce, how are you?"

"Very well very well." Pierce said with a smile.

The woman came over too.

Earlene gave her a look, "Mr. Manzanares is waiting for you."

"Yes?" The woman looked around and saw no sign of Manzanares and wrinkled her nose, "Where is he waiting for me?"

"Right over there." Earlene pointed to a corner not far away.

When the woman saw it, she smiled and said to her, "Thank you."

Turning to Pierce, she said, "Mr Pierce, I'll go over and make an appointment for another day."

With that, she threw a wink at Pierce before leaving.

Earlene turned her head and watched her walk towards Manzanares with a sneer in her brow, wondering how many times Manzanares had been cheated on. "Miss Earlene."

Pierce's voice pulled her thoughts back and her mouth curled into a polite smile, "What's up?"

"Do you have time tomorrow?" Pierce asked.

Earlene thought for a moment, "I have time this afternoon."

"Then I can ask you out?"

"Ask me out?" Earlene frowned, a little repulsed.

Pierce saw that she had misunderstood and hastened to explain, "Don't worry, I just want to talk to you about the SA Group's latest virus research, I thought you'd be interested." She was also in the research business, so she would definitely be interested.

As expected, Earlene's eyes lit up as soon as she heard about the latest virus research, "Are you sure it's the latest?"

"Of course. since the SA Group wants you to join the Institute, they will definitely give you a 100% sincere invitation." Earlene thought of the incurable virus in Eloise's body and nodded, "Okay, I'll come and see you tomorrow afternoon." Seeing her promise, Pierce nodded busily, "Yes, just tomorrow afternoon, see you there."

...

Manzanares saw the woman return and frowned, "Why are you back so soon?"

The woman bristled, "It's not because of Earlene."

"She doesn't really think I'm your girlfriend, does she?" The woman asked with a frown.

Manzanares raised an eyebrow, "Maybe."

"Then she ... probably thinks I'm cuckolding you." The woman said as she thought back to Earlene's expression. "Doesn't matter."

Manzanares stood up and gazed over to Pierce who was talking to someone not far away, "How's that? Hooked yet?" "Mmm." The woman turned and followed his gaze, "Man, a casual hookup, and you're hooked."

"And do you know what to do next?" Manzanares inclined his head and looked at her obliquely.

The woman curled her lips in a smile, "Of course. Don't worry, I will achieve the task you have given me perfectly." Manzanares smiled, "Then I am relieved."

The woman looks to Pierce with a glint of determination in her eyes.

The dinner ends and the guests slowly leave.

Manzanares and the men walk to the entrance of the hotel just as Rawlins and Pierce are there.

Manzanares locked eyes with the woman beside him, who, with a twinkle in her eye, suddenly burst into sobs.

Her sobs managed to attract the attention of Rawlins and Pierce.

Pierce's brow furrowed as soon as he saw it was her.

"Manzanares, don't be angry, I'm not messing around with anyone else." The woman cried as she grabbed Manzanares' arm.

Manzanares was instantly in the mood and shook her hand off hard, scolding her sternly, "Watery and shameless, I'm breaking up with you."

"No, Manzanares, I don't want to break up." The woman was crying so hard.

Pierce couldn't bear to watch and came over with a polite smile on his face, "This gentleman, that's very ungentlemanly of you to treat a woman like that."

Manzanares turned his head to see it was him and smiled mockingly, "Yo, it's you. What? Trying to save the day?"

"Heroic rescue?" Pierce, a foreigner, didn't understand the meaning.

Manzanares didn't bother to explain and said in a very bad tone, "I'm telling you, she's my girlfriend and it's my business what I want to do with her. You can stay where you like." After that, he reached out and pulled the woman, "Get out of here, you're a disgrace. See if I don't fix you up when I get back."

When she heard that he was going to take care of her, the woman shook her head resistently, "No, I won't go back with you, you'll beat me."

Then she turned to Pierce and begged for help, "Help me, help me, or he'll beat me to death."

"Give me a break!" Manzanares yanked her towards himself with one force.

Pierce hurriedly grabbed his hand, no longer with a smile on her face, but with a serious look on her face, she barked, "Let go! She said she's not going back with you!" "Fuck off!" Manzanares yelled at him in annoyance.

Rawlins, not expecting Manzanares to be such a person in private, looked dumbfounded, but still managed to come up and round off the situation.

"Mr. Manzanares, Pierce is a foreigner, don't get on his bad side."

"I don't care if he's a foreigner or what, he's wrong to meddle in my personal business anyway!"

Seeing that Manzanares was really angry, Rawlins had to turn to Pierce and say, "Mr Pierce, this is someone's private business, let's stay out of it." "No, I have to mind." Pierce's attitude was firm.
