Love Comes To Me
Chapter 1056: I miss you

I know my own business, I know it well.

Hearing these words, Edgar knew that she had not listened to what he had said.

He smiled down, as if he had suddenly let go of everything.

For example, she didn't like herself.

It was a relief for both of us to give up when it was time to do so.

He got it, but she still didn't.

Edgar got up, saw her keep drinking and gently advised, "Don't drink too much, it's not safe here."

Earlene turned her head to look at him.

He smiled, "I'm going to go replace my friend, you take care of yourself."

With that, he lifted his steps and walked away.

Earlene's eyes followed him closely, watching him return to his friend, talking and laughing with him, looking relaxed and at ease.

It seemed that he had really given up.

She withdrew her gaze, tilted her head and took a sip from her glass before getting up to leave.

In between talking to his friend, Edgar turns his head to the bar and notices that Earlene is no longer there, and a look of loss passes through his eyes. Whirling around, he smiled.

"Edgar, what are you smiling at?" A friend asked curiously.

He shook his head, "Nothing. Let's keep drinking."

It wasn't until after midnight that Edgar stepped out of the bar, the cool evening breeze blowing away some of the booze.

At that moment, a girl on a skateboard and wearing a duck-tongue hat stopped in front of him.

"Hello, is that the chauffeur you called?"

The girl tilted her head, her eyes shining like stars in the sky.

Edgar froze, as if something had gently crossed his heart.

"Did you call the chauffeur?" The girl repeated the question.

Edgar looked back and hooked the corners of his mouth, "Well, it's me."

...

Eloise sat on her bed, videoing Hector, who was far away in Italy.

Looking at the man on the other end of the screen, Eloise couldn't take her eyes off him, her mind was overwhelmed with thoughts. "What's wrong?" Hector asked softly with a warm smile in his eyes as he saw her staring straight at him.

Eloise deflated, like an aggrieved child, and after a moment's silence, said softly, "I miss you."

Hector's heart caved in and his voice grew softer, "I miss you too."

He was coaxing her, but he also meant it from the bottom of his heart.

He missed her, a lot.

The corners of Eloise's lips curled involuntarily and she stretched her legs out, "When are you coming back? I've really missed you." "Soon."

Hector didn't know exactly when he would be back, so he could only answer her with "soon".

"You're just being perfunctory!" Eloise was not happy, "Can't you give me an exact time?"

"I'll go back as soon as I have the medicine." Hector said.

"I heard from Aisly that Almeida and Sener have the complete information on the virus and they should be able to work on a drug to deal with it, so you can come back." Hector laughed, "Drugs aren't that easy to research. I don't want to wait too long, got it?"

The main thing was that she couldn't wait too long.

Eloise sat up straight, "I'm fine, I'm taking my medication on time, the virus doesn't kick in that fast. You just ..."

Not only did she miss him, she was worried about him too.

"Eloise," Hector interrupted her, "I know more about your health than you do."

Eloise bit her lip and stopped talking.

Hector gazed at her tenderly and whispered, "Trust me, I will return with the medicine."

Looking at him, the tip of Eloise's nose couldn't help but sink, she pursed her lips and her voice choked up a little, "But I really miss you."

"Idiot, if you miss me, call me on video, I'm here."

His "stupid" words brought tears to Eloise's eyes.

Seeing her cry was like someone clutching his heart, and he gently coaxed, "Don't cry. While I'm away, think about where you want to go, and when you're better, I'll go with you." "Really?" Eloise looked at him with teary eyes.

He nodded, "Well, really."

Eloise wiped her tears, "There are so many places I want to go, I need to make a plan."

"I'll be waiting to see what your plans are." Hector frowned with doting eyes.

"You said you'd go everywhere with me, don't lie to me."

"Well, no lies."

"Let's hook up."

The two of them pulled the hook across the screen, and Eloise was content to smile like a child.

Hector looked at the time and said, "It's late, so go to bed early and we'll talk tomorrow." "Good night."

Eloise looked reluctantly at the man on the screen.

After he said 'good night', she turned off the video and lay back down, her hand subconsciously touching her side, which was as empty as her mood at the moment. She hugged the duvet and rolled over.

I really missed him.

...

After turning off the video, Hector got up and walked out of the room where Ramm was waiting for him outside.

"Prince."

Seeing him come out, Ramm bowed his head respectfully.

"Is everything ready?" Hector asked.

"Ready." Ramm handed him the mask.

It was Bergerian's wife's birthday, and to celebrate, Bergerian had thrown a big party.

It was in the old castle where they lived.

"Do you need me to accompany you, Prince?" Ramm asked uneasily.

"No need, I'll be fine with Killers accompanying me."

More people would attract attention instead.

Just as the words left his mouth, a knock on the door suddenly sounded.

Ramm hurried to the door and it was killers.

She walked in modestly, wearing an evening gown.

"Does it look good?" She twirled, showing off the gown she was wearing.

Ramm politely complimented, "Nice nice nice."

Killers looked over at Hector and raised a thin eyebrow, "How about you?"

"Looks rather like a woman."

Hector was his usual venomous self and Killers almost fainted from exasperation.

"Hector, you're saying I don't usually look like a woman, aren't you?" Killers questioned unhappily. "Go away."

Hector ignored her and walked right past her towards the door.

"Miss. Killers, you take it easy." Ramm smiled awkwardly at Killers.

"If I didn't take more responsibility, he'd be dead already." Killers said with a grimace.

If it had been anyone else, she would have been knocked to the ground and beaten up.

Only he, for the sake of her long-time friend, she didn't bother with him.

As she entered the lift, Killers glanced at the man beside her, "Hector, do you remember me as your date for the evening?"

He was so cold, anyone who didn't know would think she owed him millions.

"Yes."

It was short, but Killers nodded contentedly, "Good to remember, I'll have to play along with you when the time comes, so you, don't piss me off or I'll shake it off." Ding!

The lift arrived and before the doors opened, Hector turned his head to look at her, the corner of his mouth curling up in a seemingly unsettling manner, "You won't." Killers froze.

As soon as the doors opened, Hector took the lead and walked out.

Behind him, Killers suddenly smiled.

Sure enough, he had known her for years as a partner, he knew her too well to know that the last thing she was likely to do in her life was not keep her word. Since she had promised to help him, she would do so to the end.
