Love Comes To Me -
Chapter 1061: You don't have to come back
Earlene opened the door and walked out, and was immediately greeted by Edgar and Brimlad, who were waiting outside.
"How's Eloise?" Brimlad asked anxiously.
Earlene smiled faintly, "It's fine, she'll wake up later."
As soon as Brimlad heard this, he hurriedly folded his hands and chanted, "God bless, God bless."
"Thank you." Edgar looked at Earlene gratefully.
Earlene shook her head, "You're welcome, Eloise is a good friend of mine, it's what I should do."
Brimlad turned her head and looked at them both, the more she looked the more satisfied she was, she nudged Edgar, "You take Earlene downstairs and rest, I'll be fine here." "But..."
Edgar tried to say something else, but was pushed by Brimlad towards the stairway.
And Earlene as well, being pushed along with him.
"You two get downstairs." Brimlad's tone was particularly firm.
The two young men looked at each other, seeing helplessness in each other's eyes.
Of course they knew what Brimlad had in mind, nothing more than a desire to leave the two of them alone to nurture their relationship.
But Edgar had already given up on this unrequited love, let alone Earlene.
But Brimlad was too much for them to resist, so they went downstairs.
Only after watching them walk downstairs one after the other did Brimlad return to Eloise's room, contentedly.
"Sorry, my mother she ..."
Edgar looked at Earlene with embarrassment.
Earlene smiled and shook her head gently, "It's okay."
"My mum ..." Edgar weighed his words, "likes you a lot."
"I know." Earlene raised her eyebrows, "I like my aunt a lot too."
They both knew in their hearts that Brimlad was bent on setting them up, but relationships were never as simple as a set-up.
"Sit down and I'll get you a cup of coffee."
Edgar gestured for Earlene to sit down and turned to go to the kitchen.
Earlene sat down on the sofa and she looked around when suddenly a book sitting on the table caught her attention.
A romance novel.
She picked it up and flipped through the pages, the corners of her mouth couldn't help but rise, feeling as though she hadn't read this type of book in a long time.
Ever since her introduction to medical research, she had read books on a raw variety of specialties and had no time or leisure to read anything else.
Edgar came over with his coffee and saw her reading Eloise's book and couldn't help but smile, "I can't believe you're interested in this genre too." He puts the tea in her hand and sits down opposite her.
Earlene looked up and said honestly, "I just happened to be looking at it, not really interested."
"It's Eloise's favourite book, she's read it I don't know how many times and every time she says she's touched by the love between the hero and heroine." Earlene raised her eyebrows, "Is that right?"
"Hmm." Edgar nodded, "Maybe it's because she likes to read books like this that she can always have high expectations of love, romantic and naive." At that, Edgar smiled, "That's why I, Hector, love her so much."
Yes, what man doesn't love a purely naive woman?
Compared to Eloise, she was a lot more realistic, she loved Hector and just felt that he was the only one good enough for her, and she was just right for him. "What are you thinking about?" Edgar asked out loud when he saw her staring.
Earlene pulled back at the sound of his voice, smiled and said, "Nothing."
Edgar smiled, "Thank you really for today, otherwise we wouldn't know what to do?"
"Like I said, Eloise is my friend, you don't have to keep saying thank you." Earlene was a little bemused.
"Well, then, I'll leave it at that."
Earlene picked up her coffee and took a sip, "It's a good thing it's today, or I'd be out of the country tomorrow."
At that, Edgar raised an eyebrow in surprise, "Are you going abroad?"
"Well, a bit of business."
Seeing that she didn't look like she wanted to say more, Edgar didn't ask any more questions, but smiled, "Take care of yourself then." Earlene returned the smile, "Thanks."
...
Eloise felt like she was having a long dream.
The dream was so vague that she couldn't tell reality from the dream.
"Girl, go back now, someone is waiting for you."
Suddenly, an old voice rang in her ears and she turned her head to see who it was, but all she saw was a white blur.
"Didn't you say you'd wake up soon? Why aren't you awake yet?"
A familiar voice reached her ears and Eloise's eyes snapped open.
"Eloise!"
Brimlad, who was still worried, saw her eyes open and went to pounce on her with excitement.
Eloise's eyes were still a little dazed, but clarity soon returned and she turned her head as Brimlad's excited look fell into her eyes.
"Auntie, what's wrong with me?" She asked, bewildered.
"You've fainted again." Brimlad wiped the tears from the corners of his eyes.
"Fainted?"
Eloise thought back to what had happened before she fainted, as if she was worried about Edgar's health.
Yes, cousin had a high fever!
"Auntie, how is cousin?" She asked with concern.
"Your cousin is fine." Brimlad smoothed the strands of hair from her cheeks and said helplessly, "You're worried about your cousin when you're like this yourself. What could happen to a big man like him?" Eloise smiled weakly, "He's got a high fever."
"He's fine now, he's downstairs talking to Earlene."
"Earlene's here?" Eloise was a little surprised.
"Hmm. Edgar and I really had no choice but to ask her for help." Brimlad smiled, "Looks like we got the right person, otherwise you wouldn't have woken up so quickly." "That really gave her a hard time."
Eloise was trying not to have any more dealings with Earlene, but she hadn't expected to cause her any more trouble.
"You lie down for a while, I'll go down and talk to them so they don't worry."
Brimlad turned and hurried out.
Edgar saw his mother coming downstairs and asked in confusion, "Mum, why are you down here?"
Brimlad walked up to them and said, "Eloise is awake."
At that, Edgar stood up "with a start", "Awake?"
"Yeah. Awake."
Edgar looked to Earlene, "Do you want to go upstairs and check?"
Earlene nodded, "Yes."
...
As soon as Brimlad is out, Eloise picks up the phone on the bedside table.
When she opened it, there were several missed calls.
It was Hector.
He must be worried if he hadn't answered his own phone.
She called back in a hurry.
Soon the phone picked up and Hector's low voice came through, "Eloise, how are you?"
You could hear the urgency and worry in his voice.
Eloise whispered back, "I'm fine."
Just then, she heard the voice on the other side of the phone ringing for someone to board the plane, and her thin eyebrows wrinkled, "Are you coming back?" "Yeah." How could he not come back when something had happened to her?
"I'm fine, you don't have to come back." Eloise didn't want him to go back and forth, it would be too much work.
"I'll be in Kyoto soon."
Eloise got anxious when she heard that, "You don't have to come back, I mean it. I'm fine, I'm really fine."
At that moment, Edgar and the others came in just in time.
Eloise hurriedly said, "If you don't believe me, I'll let my cousin talk to you."
