Love Comes To Me
Chapter 1062: He doesn't believe Earlene

"Cousin, get over here." Eloise shouted at Edgar.

Edgar hurried over, "What is it?"

"You need to talk to Hector quickly so he doesn't have to come back." Eloise said shoving the phone into his hand, shouting urgently. Earlene, who had walked over, paled slightly when she heard Hector was coming back.

"Okay, I'll talk to him now, so don't worry." Edgar saw Eloise's anxious look and whispered soothingly before bringing the phone to his ear. "Hector." "Yeah."

Hector's voice came through and Edgar glanced at Eloise and continued, "Eloise is awake and there's nothing else wrong, you don't have to come back." "She woke up on her own?" Hector asked.

"Sort of. But I did have Earlene check Eloise out and there's nothing wrong with her."

"Earlene?"

"Well, it's her."

Hector's face turned a little hard, he had been reluctant to let Earlene know about Eloise's health and who knew it hadn't eluded him.

"You shouldn't have let her come."

Hearing this, Edgar realised what he had done and he hastily apologised, "I'm sorry, Hector, I was in a hurry and didn't think things through fully." "Since it's okay, I won't be going back for a while, let me know if anything happens in time."

If Eloise wouldn't let him go back, he wouldn't go back.

He could only get the antidote quicker if he was over here.

"Okay, I got it."

Edgar hung up the phone and smiled at Eloise, "Hector's not coming back, he told you to take care of yourself."

"Whew!" Eloise breathed a sigh of relief, "It's good that he's not coming back."

She really didn't want to make Hector go back and forth, didn't want to be a burden to him once again.

"Eloise, are you not feeling well anywhere?" Earlene stepped forward and looked at her with a concerned face.

"I'm fine." Eloise smiled at her gratefully, "Thank you for coming over, if it wasn't for you, I might not have woken up so quickly."

"You and I don't have to be so polite."

Earlene opened the box she had brought with her and said, "There's something strange going on with you, I'll have to take a tube of blood and test it." "Take blood?" Eloise frowned, "This... this won't be necessary?"

She subconsciously shrank back when she saw Earlene pull out the straps and needles for the blood draw, "No really, I'm really fine."

Seeing how resistant she was, Earlene couldn't help but laugh, "You're afraid of pain, aren't you?"

"No." Eloise shook her head, "I don't think it's necessary."

More importantly, she didn't want Earlene to know too much.

Reading her mind, Earlene smiled and said, "Don't worry, I won't take it for other research."

At that, Eloise's eyes widened in surprise, "You know all about it?"

"Well."

Eloise looked over at Edgar.

Edgar smiled apologetically, "I'm sorry, I was the one who told her."

Eloise couldn't blame Edgar, she could only smile dryly, "Smoke it then."

She held out her arm and tilted her head sideways.

Earlene moved with such skill that Eloise felt only a hint of pain before the blood had been drawn.

"That fast?" Eloise was a little incredulous.

"Or what?" Earlene looked at her with amusement and took a cotton swab and handed it to her, "Press it and you can throw it away when it stops bleeding." "Good." Eloise dutifully squeezed.

Earlene put the drawn blood away, "I'll take the blood back for testing, I'll let you know if there's anything."

Eloise smiled faintly, "Hard work."

At that moment, Brimlad came in with a tray of food, just in time to hear Earlene's words, and said, "Earlene, don't rush back yet, have your meal before you go."

"No need, Auntie. I've got things to do and I've got to get back." Earlene politely declined Brimlad's kind offer.

She lifted the case on her back and looked at Eloise and Edgar, "I'll leave now, contact me if you need anything."

"I'll walk you." Edgar said.

Earlene nodded.

The two walked out of the room, one after the other.

Brimlad put his dinner plate on the bedside table and raised an eyebrow at Eloise, "Well, aren't they a special match for each other?"

Eloise reluctantly tugged at the corner of her mouth, "Not bad."

"I'd dream of having Earlene as my daughter-in-law."

Eloise glanced at Brimlad's yearning expression, pursed her lips and changed the subject straight away, "Auntie, I'm hungry."

Upon hearing this, Brimlad hurriedly put away his little thoughts and brought her the porridge from the dinner plate, "I had the kitchen boil this, you can eat it while it's hot." "Thank you little aunt."

Brimlad smiled, "Silly child, you don't need to say thank you to me. Just eat."

"Yes." Eloise nodded, then took a spoonful of the porridge, which was soft and sticky.

She smiled and narrowed her eyes, "It's delicious."

"Eat more if it's good." Brimlad looked at her with tenderness in his brow.

...

Hector didn't board the plane.

Ramm was surprised when he got the call, but didn't bother to ask any more questions and drove to the airport.

When he received Hector, he asked curiously, "Prince, why have you changed your mind, is Miss Eloise all right?"

"Hmm." Hector nodded, "She's awake and told me not to go back."

Ramm smiled, "Miss Eloise asked you not to go back because she was afraid you were working too hard."

"But I'm worried about her." Hector said.

"You don't have to worry too much, Miss Eloise will be fine with Miss Eloise's mum's family looking after her." Ramm reassured.

Hector turned his head to look out the window and said nothing more.

The car drove smoothly down the road.

It was a long time before Hector spoke again, "Anything from the Institute?"

"No." Ramm looked at Hector in the rear view mirror, "We still haven't seen Professor Curry coming in or out. Instead, we've seen Mr. Rowson."

The tip of Hector's eyebrow twitched slightly; last time Rowson had said he would replace a way to get his hands on Professor Curry's latest research, but there was no telling how long it would take. "Are we going to make a move?" Ramm asked.

"Not yet." Hector narrowed his eyes slightly, "Keep an eye on it, and keep me posted if anything happens."

Since Rowson had promised to get the latest research, he would wait a little longer.

"Yes." Ramm answered respectfully.

Hector suddenly thought of something important, "Ramm, contact Almeida and the others and ask them to take the time to run to Kyoto and give Eloise a full examination." He didn't trust Earlene.

"Okay, I'll contact Almeida now."

Ramm finished and immediately dialled Almeida, relaying Hector's message to him.

"Tell the prince we'll be over to Kyoto as soon as possible to check on Miss Eloise."

The words were played out, so Hector heard them straight away.

"Let me know what's going on." Hector said.

"Yes." Almeida's respectful response came from the other end of the phone.
