Love Comes To Me
Chapter 1068: Bringing her in for testing

"Good point."

Bergerian clapped his hands as he walked in.

George hurriedly put away his arrogance and put on a pleasing smile, "Mr Bergerian, you're here."

"Hmm." Bergerian glanced at him lightly and looked to Rowson, "Rowson, you're absolutely right. If all my men thought the way you do, there would be no conflict.

As he said this, he looked at George with intent.

George sensed his gaze and looked away sheepishly.

"George, I've heard that you've been giving Fu a hard time, is that true?" Bergerian asked.

"I ... I haven't, I think someone is deliberately moving in front of you."

How dare George admit it, he knew that Bergerian hated nothing more than people underneath looking at each other badly, and the previous fight with Rowson would have gotten him kicked out of the Institute if it wasn't for Professor Curry. "Oh?" Bergerian raised an eyebrow, "And what was that I just heard?"

"We were just messing around." George shot Rowson a wink, "You think so, Rowson?"

Rowson could have taken this opportunity to squeal on George in front of Bergerian and get George punished, but he didn't.

"Yeah, we're messing around."

If he wanted to gain Professor Curry's trust, he had to start with George.

"Oh, it's a joke." Bergerian had the door in his mind, but didn't poke them.

"What about Professor Curry?" Bergerian turned the tables.

"The teacher is in the lab, I'll go get him."

Without waiting for Bergerian's response, George turned and ran into the lab.

Within moments, Professor Curry came out.

"Mr Bergerian."

Professor Curry, who was a highly respected professor at the Institute, had to treat Bergerian with respect.

"Where are we at with the research?" Bergerian asked.

At the sound of this, a quick, imperceptible glint of emotion passed through Rowson's eyes.

Professor Curry glanced at Rowson and whispered, "Let's talk in the conference room."

Bergerian knew what he was thinking, smiled and said, "Okay."

As he watched them walk back and forth towards the conference room, Rowson clenched his fists, a chill covering his handsome face.

He, too, wanted to know how far Professor Curry's research had gone.

But Professor Curry was so defensive, it was hard for him to know.

...

When he reached the conference room, Professor Curry opened the door, "Mr Bergerian, the drug has been researched, but it hasn't been tested yet, so I don't know exactly what effect it will have on the virus." "So when will the trial take place?" Bergerian asked.

Professor Curry pondered for a moment, "Even if it is tested successfully on animals, it doesn't mean that it will work on people."

Bergerian frowned slightly, "What do you mean by that?"

"I mean it would be better to test it directly on people."

At that Bergerian couldn't help but laugh, "Curry, are you crazy? You know that once the test is done on a human being, if it doesn't work and someone gets killed, you and I could both be liable."

"Since when did Mr Bergerian become such a coward?" Professor Curry looked at him with a look of incredulity.

"I've become a coward?" Bergerian laughed twice as if it were a big joke, then curbed his smile and said coldly, "You should know very well that experimentation on living people has always been forbidden in the medical profession." "Mr Bergerian, do you think that just because it is forbidden, no one does it? When you do research, there must always be sacrifices, otherwise how can medicine progress?"

Bergerian stared at Professor Curry for a long moment before curling his lips, "Fine, then do as you say. But how are you going to replace the right people to do the experiments?"

"I wonder if you remember the Eloise who was infected with the virus but is still alive and well?" Professor Curry asked.

Bergerian nodded, "Of course I remember."

"We could capture her and use her for experiments." Professor Curry had greed in his eyes, he couldn't wait to replace out if the drug he had worked on would work.

"Not only do I remember her, I remember her as Hector's wife."

Bergerian narrowed his eyes, "To be honest, I don't want to mess with Hector. you should know he's not an easy man."

Professor Curry smiled, "But I know you're better than him, don't I?"

Everyone likes a compliment, and Bergerian was no exception.

He nodded appreciatively, "Good, I'll have someone replace a way to bring Eloise in."

"Then I'll wait for good news from Mr Bergerian."

...

Rowson looked in the direction of the conference room every now and then, he was not at all bothered about doing anything, his mind was full of thoughts of Professor Curry's research progress. "Look out!"

Katerina came out of the lab, saw Rowson distracted and was about to walk over and ask what was going on when she saw his hand accidentally brought to a test tube rack on the side.

Seeing that the test tube rack was about to fall over, she rushed over to hold it up.

"What's wrong?" Rowson looked like he was completely out of it.

Katerina put the rack in place and said with a grimace, "You almost knocked it over!"

Rowson looked away and said tersely, "Sorry."

"Rowson, what were you thinking? It feels like you're not even in your element." Katerina stared at him intently, trying to see something in his seemingly calm face.

"Nothing."

"You..."

Katerina was about to ask a follow-up question just as Bergerian and Professor Curry came out of the conference room.

"Mr Bergerian," Katerina called out respectfully.

"Katerina, you're here too." Bergerian looked at Rowson.

"Yes. Mr Bergerian, what are you doing here today?" Katerina asked.

"Came by to see if I had something to ask Professor Curry."

Bergerian looked at Professor Curry and then at Rowson and thought for a moment, "Curry, you can ask Rowson to help you in the future, he is more professional than George and I believe he will be very helpful to you." Hearing this, Rowson's heart lit up with hope, so that he could know the progress of Professor Curry's research.

Unfortunately, Professor Curry declined.

"No need, I'm used to George's help."

The words were like a pot of cold water, dashing any hopes Rowson had managed to raise.

Katerina noticed the flicker of disappointment in Rowson's eyes, and with a twinkle in her eye, she smiled out, "Professor Curry, you're still so exclusive, and that won't be good for research."

It was rare that she would say that to Professor Curry's face.

Professor Curry's face instantly turned a little ugly, "Katerina, what do you mean by that, are you accusing me of something?"

Katerina smiled, "I don't dare accuse you, I just think you are too exclusive, it's not good for new researchers."

"It's not that I'm exclusive, it's that I don't want more people to know about my research, especially people with other ideas." Professor Curry gave Rowson a meaningful look.
