Love Comes To Me -
Chapter 1072: Well, I believe you
Every word she said felt like she was mocking herself.
Earlene clenched her fists and glared at the woman in front of her with a deadly glare.
Killers red lips curled, "So, this young lady, don't get any delusions about him, he will only love his wife in his life."
With that, she turned around and was about to walk away.
Behind her, a sultry voice rang out, "Who can guarantee that he will love his wife for the rest of his life? Him, or you?" Killers thin brows knitted, was this carrying the load?
She turned and looked at Earlene with amusement, "What are you trying to say?"
Earlene stood up, level with her, and said with exceptional clarity, word by word, "No one can promise to love someone for life."
At that, Killers couldn't help but be intrigued, wrapping her arms around her chest and looking at Earlene with a smirk, "Are you planning to break their relationship?"
"If they love each other enough, I can't break it. Conversely, then they don't love each other enough."
"You don't seem to be wrong about that." Killers nodded, "But don't you think it's cheap of you to do that?"
"What's not to like in order to get your love." Earlene looked as if she took it for granted.
Killers laughed, "It does seem like you have no shame."
Earlene pursed her lips and smiled, not retorting.
Killers looked at her calm smile and couldn't help but be annoyed, she had never really seen such a shameless woman before.
She took a deep breath, resisting the urge to hit her, and smiled, "I think you might be disappointed, Hector is no ordinary man, so behave yourself."
With those words, she turned and strode towards her seat.
Earlene watched her departing back, her eyes narrowed slightly, her eyes were determined. No matter what, she would not give up.
Returning to the table, Killers took a sip of the juice on the table and swept his eyes over to Earlene, who was looking this way, and his anger shot through him.
"Hector, who the hell is she and why is she so cheeky?" She huffed, looking at Hector.
"Eloise's friend."
"What?" Killers eyes widened in surprise, "She, she's actually Eloise's friend?!"
She still couldn't take it in somehow, "If she's friends with Eloise, how can she still say something shameless like that?"
For the first time Killers felt triple shattered.
"What did she say?" Hector asked.
"What else could she say, but that she likes you and won't give up or something." The more Killers thought about it, the angrier she became, and she looked up to where Earlene was sitting, only to replace that the person was gone. "Gone?" Killers frowned.
Hector gave her a look and turned his head to look over as well.
Earlene had indeed left, she didn't think it was the right time to meet with Hector, after all, there was another woman there.
Straight to the checkout and away.
"No fun. I was hoping to teach her a lesson." Killers grimaced in defeat.
Hector raised an eyebrow, "Teach a lesson?"
"Yeah, she's really shameless, coveting her friend's husband and shamelessly saying she'd do anything to get her love."
Speaking of which, Killers exhaled in exasperation, "How do you think people can be so shameless?"
"No need to be angry." Hector poured her a glass of juice, "She can't do anything about it."
Killers grunted, "I'm afraid she'll use some unorthodox tactics, you'd better be careful."
"Yeah."
Killers saw that he didn't seem to take this to heart, knowing that he didn't think much of the woman, but she still felt that she couldn't take it lightly. Who knew if the woman would do anything shameless to get him.
It looked like she would have to keep an eye on him for Eloise during her time in Italy.
...
Eloise had been so upset about Earlene all day that she hadn't had an appetite for food until Hector called her.
"Can I help you?" She didn't sound very nice.
"What's wrong?"
Hector's gentle voice rang in her ear and Eloise's eyes reddened undeniably as she bit her lip, "I miss you."
Her voice was slightly choked and Hector frowned, "Crying?"
"No." Eloise lifted a hand to wipe the corners of her wet eyes and her mouth hardened in return.
Hector's soft laugh came through, "Silly, I'll be back soon."
Eloise was silent for a moment before she spoke, "Can I come and see you?"
"You're coming?"
"Yeah."
Hector did not want her to come to Italy at this time; if she did, he would inevitably be distracted from looking after her and would be unable to do anything.
But instead of saying that, he asked, "Why do you want to come to Italy all of a sudden?"
"Because ...," Eloise hesitated, "Earlene is in Italy."
Hearing this, Hector looked aghast, "How did you know?"
"She took pictures of you and Killers and sent them to me."
Hector's eyes narrowed, if Earlene had been peaceful, he would have just pretended the woman didn't exist. But now that she'd done something like this, it looked like something had to be done about it. "So you're worried?"
Eloise let out a soft 'hmm', "She likes you."
"If you're worried, ask Thomas or Edgar to book you a flight."
I don't know why, but hearing him say that suddenly made her feel better, not wanting to go looking for him, not wanting to cause him any trouble.
"Are you having breakfast with Killers today?"
That was an extraordinarily raw change of subject on her part and Hector hooked his lips into a smile, "Well, I had something to ask her for."
"Earlene thought you were sneaking around with another woman behind my back before she took the picture for me."
At that, Eloise smiled, "It seems she didn't have faith in you either, thinking you were the one who would cheat on her."
"What about you?" Hector asked.
"I ah..." Eloise's eyes rolled, "Guess."
"I love you, Eloise."
The sudden confession made the annoyance in Eloise's mind disappear completely without a trace and the corners of her mouth rose uncontrollably, "Well, I love you too." "Wait for me, I'll be back soon."
"Yeah, I'll wait for you."
Eloise collapsed on the bed with her phone in her arms, a sweet, happy smile on her small, palm-sized face as she looked up at the ceiling and whispered to Hector on the other end of the phone, "I'm not going to Italy." "Decided?"
"Well, I trust you."
Actually, she had always trusted him, just not Earlene.
"I'm happy."
The joy in his voice was audible even through the phone.
"You don't think I don't believe you, do you?" Eloise asked curiously.
"No, I know you believe me."
They had been through so much together and knew each other well.
Eloise rolled over and flopped onto her back, "You need to take care of yourself and stay away from Earlene. Just because I trust you, doesn't mean I trust Earlene."
"I know."
The two talked for another full half hour or so before Eloise hung up the phone contentedly and lay on the bed giggling.
