Love Comes To Me -
Chapter 1112: It's only going to get worse
Edgar and Brimlad waited for almost thirty minutes or so before the door to the room was opened again. Almeida stepped out first.
"How's it going?" Brimlad rushed to greet them, asking eagerly.
"It's under control for now." Almeida replied.
Brimlad's hanging heart fell back into place as she sighed and asked, "Eloise what the hell is going on here?"
"After my tests and Sener's, the virus in Miss Eloise's body may be getting out of control." Speaking of this, Almeida's expression was unusually grave.
The air also became oppressive for a moment.
They all knew very well how terrible the consequences would be once the virus was out of control and flared up.
"Then you have to do something about it." Brimlad was anxious, "You can't just stand by and watch Eloise be tortured to death by the virus."
Speaking of this, she once again stifled her tears.
"Why does God have to do this to Eloise when she could so easily have a good life?"
Edgar's eyes welled up as he reached out to take his mother into his arms and said soothingly, "Mum, don't worry, Almeida and the others will surely replace a way to save Eloise."
"Yes, Mrs. Brimlad, you don't have to rush, Sener and I have made a breakthrough in our research, I'm sure we can save Miss Eloise." Almeida voiced out.
Edgar listened with some disbelief, "You mean you have made a new discovery in your research on the virus, yes?"
At that moment, Sener came out, just in time to hear his question, and explained, "That's right. After we got all the information about the virus last time, we've been working on it day and night, and we may have a targeted drug out in a while." "And can the virus be completely eradicated?" Edgar pressed.
Sener gave an apologetic expression, "Sorry, we can't guarantee that."
Edgar was a little disappointed to have his hopes dashed, but didn't dare show it to undermine AlmeidaSener's confidence.
"You guys have worked hard." He said.
How could Almeida not see his disappointment, pursed her lips and said, "There's no guarantee if the virus can be completely eradicated, but it will definitely contain the attack."
"That's good." Brimlad wiped away a tear, "As long as it keeps Eloise alive."
Sener smiled softly, "Mrs. Brimlad, don't worry, if we can develop a drug to suppress the virus, we can also develop a drug to destroy it."
"I trust you." Brimlad looked at them.
"Thank you."
"Miss Eloise should be waking up soon, you guys try to keep her happy and not let her emotions rise and fall too much." Almeida admonished.
Edgar nodded, "We'll take care of that. It's just that Hector's whereabouts are unknown at the moment, and I'm afraid Eloise will get carried away, something we have no control over." "That one does seem a bit troubling." Sener frowned.
They both knew how much Eloise and Hector had bonded.
The fact that Hector was now missing was hitting Eloise harder than they could ever imagine.
Almeida thought about it and said, "Tell you what, have Mr Rupert send Solomon, Sweety over here, maybe having the kids around will distract Miss Eloise from thinking about the prince all the time." As soon as Brimlad heard this, he immediately agreed, "Yes yes, that would be best."
Edgar nodded, "That's fine, I'll contact Rupert then."
Sener then took a bottle of medicine and explained to Edgar, "This will keep the virus at bay for now, one pill a day. When the new medicine comes out, Almeida and I will deliver it personally." Edgar took it and nodded heavily, "Don't worry guys, I'll personally supervise her taking it every day."
"Until the new medicine comes out, you guys take the trouble." Almeida said.
Edgar smiled helplessly, "Eloise is my cousin, it's my job to look after her, it's not hard work."
Almeida smiled, "Sener and I will go back first then, contact us if anything happens." "Good."
Edgar saw AlmeidaSener off and returned to Eloise's room.
Eloise was still sound asleep.
"I thought Almeida and the others said they would be awake soon, why hasn't there been any movement at all?" Brimlad was worried, she was afraid that the person might not wake up. "Mum, don't think too much, Almeida will wake up if she says she will." Edgar reassured her.
Brimlad sighed, "Okay, I'll wait."
Edgar looked at Eloise on the bed, his sword brow slowly furrowed, although he had reassured his mother, he was actually afraid in his heart that she wouldn't wake up. Perhaps sensing their fears, Eloise finally woke up towards dark.
As soon as she opened her eyes, her aunt's worried face fell into her eyes.
"Eloise, you're finally awake." Brimlad cried.
Eloise's eyes were full of confusion, "What's wrong with me?"
Brimlad wiped his tears and said in a choked voice, "You almost didn't wake up."
"What do you mean?" Eloise didn't understand.
"Almeida said it was because you were up and down so much that you went into a coma."
EloiseEdwina frowned, no wonder she couldn't open her eyes despite hearing her brother-in-law's voice, she was in a coma.
"Auntie, I'm sorry to have worried you again." She looked at Brimlad apologetically.
Brimlad curled his lips into a smile and reached out to stroke her cheek tenderly, "No need to tell me you're sorry, you're my niece and it's only right that I worry about you."
The tip of Eloise's nose tingled and she took a deep breath, resisting the urge to burst into tears, and her lips lifted, "Not again."
"Good, it won't happen again."
"Are you hungry?" Brimlad asked.
Eloise nodded, "Yes, hungry."
"Then I'll go down and bring up your porridge."
Eloise watched Brimlad go out before tears escaped her eyes and she bit her lip to stop herself from crying out.
There were so many people who cared about her besides Hector.
She couldn't let them worry about her and she couldn't cause them any trouble.
But she really missed Hector.
A soreness came over her and she hurriedly sniffled and wiped away her tears with the back of her hand, her eyes becoming incredibly determined to trust Thomas and the others, they would bring Hector back. Brimlad came in with the porridge just in time to see Eloise wiping away her tears, she hurried over and put the porridge on the bedside table as she sat down on the edge of the bed.
"Is something wrong? Is something wrong?" Brimlad asked anxiously.
Eloise curled her lips and shook her head, "No."
"Then why are you crying?" Brimlad heartily wiped away her tears, "You're worried about Hector, aren't you?"
At the sound of Hector's name, the tears flowed again.
Brimlad was both distressed and helpless, "Silly child, Hector will be fine, he'll be back soon."
"Auntie, I know, but I ..." Eloise bit her lip, unable to continue.
Brimlad smiled, "I know, you can't help it. But for Hector's sake, for your own sake, you have to control it and trust Edgar and the others, okay?" Eloise nodded, "Good."
"Good girl, get up and drink your porridge."
Brimlad helped her to do so and then brought the porridge to her, "Drink it."
The smile on Brimlad's lips slowly faded as he watched Eloise slowly drink the porridge.
It looked like we still had to get Hector back as soon as possible, otherwise Eloise's situation would only get worse.
