Love Comes To Me -
Chapter 1115: Let me help you blow
Brimlad put the tray on the stone table, bent down and picked Sweety up, kissing her hard twice before smiling and asking, "Does Sweety miss her aunt and grandmother?" "Yes! Sweety misses her aunt and grandmother every day." Sweety answered loudly.
"Oh?" Brimlad raised his eyebrows, "Do you miss your aunt and grandmother, or your aunt and grandmother's biscuits?"
"Both, but most of all I miss my auntie and grandma." Sweety threw her arms around her neck and pressed her little face against hers.
Brimlad's heart melted and he put her down and gave her a biscuit, "This is a new flavour, you're the first to eat it." "Thank you, Grandma."
Sweety took a bite and her eyes lit up instantly, "It's delicious."
"Is it? Then these are all yours." Brimlad smiled and stroked her head.
Eloise looked at the plate of biscuits, there were quite a few, and her eyebrows furrowed, "Auntie, you're spoiling her."
"It won't." Brimlad smiled at Sweety, who was eating the biscuits, with a doting look in his eyes.
Eloise sighed, she really did look like she wanted to give Sweety everything she had, and she said she wouldn't spoil her.
"Eloise, you have some too, it's not bad." Brimlad picked up a biscuit and handed it over.
Eloise shook her head, "No, I don't want anything sweet."
Although her expression seemed calm, the faintest hint of sadness lingered between her eyes.
Brimlad put the biscuit down, smiled and said, "Eloise, looking at Sweety makes you feel better, doesn't it?"
Eloise didn't make a sound.
She continued, "I know you're worried about Hector, but sometimes worrying doesn't change anything, all we can do is wait, is trust Edgar and the others ..."
"Auntie, I don't disbelieve my cousin and the others." Eloise interrupted her.
Brimlad smiled, "I know you don't. So since you believe, just keep your heart open, okay?"
A bitter smile spread across Eloise's lips, "How can I put my heart at ease? That's my husband, he's been taken away and hidden, and I simply ... can't relax my heart at all."
"Earlene likes Hector, then she won't hurt him." Brimlad said.
"I'm not worried about Hector's safety, but ..."
Eloise was afraid to go further.
She was in fear, fear that Hector would never come back.
"I understand." Brimlad put his arm around her shoulders and smiled reassuringly, "You and Hector have been through so much together and have such a deep bond, I'm sure God couldn't bear to part you, so he'll be back soon." Eloise rested her head on her shoulder, tears slipping silently from the corners of her eyes.
That was how she comforted herself, but she still couldn't contain her fear.
"Mummy, why are you crying?" Sweety saw her drop her tears and the smile on her baby face instantly disappeared, her big beautiful eyes staring straight at her. "Crying?" Brimlad hurriedly turned his head to look at Eloise.
Eloise hastily lifted her hand to wipe the tears thought and squeezed out a smile, "No, it just got in the sand."
Brimlad looked at her with both heartache and helplessness, "You child."
She was obviously crying, and she was using the lame excuse of sand to try and fool her.
"Mummy, I'll blow on it for you."
Brimlad didn't believe it, but Sweety did.
"Okay."
Eloise bent down and let Sweety blow into her eyes a few times.
"Is that good? Mummy."
Looking at the innocent Sweety, she couldn't help the sourness at the tip of her nose, and Eloise hurriedly blinked hard to force the tears back and smiled, "Okay, it's okay." Sweety resumed her bright smile, "That's good."
Watching the scene quietly, Brimlad couldn't help but speak up, "Eloise, think about the baby, your life isn't all about Hector, it's about the baby too." Eloise nodded, "Auntie, I know."
Brimlad stroked her head and sighed, "It's yours, no one can take it away from you."
The implication was that no one could take Hector away from her.
Eloise Edwina smiled, "Hmm."
What was hers, would come back to her.
...
The next day, Edgar went to the office early in the morning.
He hadn't been at work for a few days because of Eloise's business and a pile of work was waiting for him to deal with.
"Sort out all the important work for the next few days and give it to me, I'll go through it together later." Edgar said as he walked into the office.
Ivor, who was following him, hurriedly responded, "Yes, I'll sort it out later. You sign this paper first."
Edgar paused, turned sideways and took the papers he handed him.
As he looked down and flipped through it, he caught a glimpse of a small toy on the table not far away.
He quickly signed his name on the paper, handed it back to Ivor, lifted a step and walked over to pick up the small toy.
"It looks like it was left here the other day when Miss. Edwina was playing with some of the kids." Ivor explained. Miss. Edwina?
Edgar burst out laughing, how had he forgotten about her?
Ivor looked at him with a puzzled expression, "President, what are you laughing at?"
"Nothing." Edgar put the toy in his jacket pocket, "Go and tidy up, I have a meeting later."
"Okay, I'll go out and tidy up."
Edgar was so busy throughout the day that he didn't have time to eat lunch, let alone remember about the toys.
When he got home from work in the evening, he had just walked into the living room when a small figure ran over and hugged his leg.
"Little Uncle." Sweety's voice rang in his ears.
Edgar knelt down and lifted his hand to smooth Sweety's fluffy hair behind her ears, a gentle smile on his handsome face, "Have you been good today?"
"Yes, Sweety even ate a big bowl of rice." Sweety lifted her face proudly and waited for his praise.
"Did you?" Edgar gave an exaggerated look of surprise.
Sweety was even prouder, "Well, Mummy and Grandma and Uncle both said I was so good."
"Sweety is great." Edgar stroked her head.
"But..." Sweety beamed, changing her glowing look and becoming a little downcast.
"What's wrong?" Edgar asked hastily.
"My aunt and grandmother made new flavours of biscuits today, but Mummy only allowed me to eat a little bit." Sweety's expression was so aggravated when he said that. He thought it was some kind of big deal.
Edgar couldn't help but laugh and reached out to pinch her nose gently, "Snacker! Your mummy's doing it for your own good, that's why she won't let you eat more." "But I like to eat." With a twinkle in her eye, Sweety reached out and tugged on his sleeve, pouting, "Uncle, you're the best."
Edgar deliberately pretended not to understand her and said, "Of course I'm the best."
"No, I mean..." Sweety looked around and seeing no one else, she leaned close to his ear and whispered, "Will you sneak some biscuits for me to eat?"
