Love Comes To Me -
Chapter 112: I Can't Tell
Hearing Rupert Rogers ask her what really happened in the past, Eloise Thompson somehow found a shred of sanity and pursed her lips and said, "I can't talk about it, I can't talk about it ..." It was something that she couldn't tell anyone about.
The words fell, he slumped on the table and fell asleep.
An excited Rupert Rogers thought he could ask something, but instead...
He was at a loss for words; it was so hard to set up a conversation when you were drunk.
Still, Rupert Rogers senses that Eloise Thompson has a mental block, that she likes her brother but feels they can't be together.
What exactly is it that will make Eloise Thompson feel that the two can never be together.
What really happened that year?
Thinking about it, Rupert Rogers was itching to check it out, but fearing that his brother and sister-in-law would be angry, Rupert Rogers was in a tizzy.
Eventually he didn't ask any more questions and sent Eloise Thompson back.
...
On arrival home, Eloise Thompson went straight to bed.
When she woke up the next day, her head still a little groggy and smelling heavily of alcohol all over her body, Eloise Thompson frowned slightly as the memory of last night came vaguely to mind. She went to dinner with Rupert Rogers and had a drink, what happened afterwards...
As Eloise Thompson went to take a shower, she wondered if she had done anything out of the ordinary last night.
After a pause, she vaguely recalled Rupert Rogers condescending to her, and Eloise Thompson mentally shuddered; she hadn't said anything last night that she shouldn't have, had she?
But after ringing for a long time, Eloise Thompson didn't think about what she and Hector Rogers had actually said.
She couldn't help but feel a little chagrin in her heart, she knew that this Rupert Rogers was not simply looking for her for dinner, she should have known that she shouldn't have drunk last night. Eloise Thompson sighed and mentally just wished she hadn't said anything as she showered and then headed to the office.
...
On Rupert Rogers' side, he arrived at the office during the afternoon and was pulled over again by Thomas Ward.
"Rupert, do something about it! This Mr Hector is working without sleep, he didn't leave the office all night yesterday and didn't eat much, this can't go on!"
At this, Rupert Rogers frowned slightly as he walked into his office. As expected, Hector Rogers was still busy working and hadn't returned all night, and the man's usual handsome, high-strung appearance had disappeared without a trace. This is the first time Rupert Rogers has seen his brother, who has always been a neat freak, look like this, hey, it's just a lost love.
Rupert Rogers sighed, knowing that his persuasion would be useless, so instead of going in and telling his brother about his visit to Eloise Thompson, he went back home and picked Solomon up.
Solomon had arrived at the office excited, but was disgusted at the sight of Hector Rogers.
"Daddy, you smell so bad, have you not had a bath? Haven't shaved yet."
A disgusted Hector Rogers glanced faintly at his own son and brother and said nothing.
Solomon walked straight up and took the papers out of his hands, then spoke again, "Daddy, you can't look like that, go back to the shower with Solomon."
"Solomon, stop it." Hector Rogers opened his mouth to refuse.
Solomon looked at him and spoke with the look of a young adult, "Daddy, Solomon isn't making a scene, look at you now, you don't look like the man of our Rogers family!"
Noticing the displeased look in his brother's eyes, Rupert Rogers hurriedly followed suit and said, "Yes! Brother, Solomon is really right."
Solomon nodded before dragging Hector Rogers out of the office.
For Solomon, Hector Rogers had no choice but to follow him back.
After arriving at the Rogers family and having a shower, Hector Rogers grabbed a quick bite to eat and was about to go to the office when Solomon pestered him.
"Daddy, Solomon wants to take a nap, will you give me the story?"
By the time the words were out of his mouth, Hector Rogers had been pulled into bed by his own son, who had no choice but to tell Solomon the story.
Hector Rogers stayed at the office all night yesterday and didn't get much rest, so he lay in bed and somehow fell asleep.
Solomon sighed next to him as he looked at his daddy's somewhat haggard face, he was simply worried.
Retrieving a mobile phone from Hector Rogers' pocket, Solomon called Eloise Thompson's number, but there was no answer.
There was a flash of disappointment in Solomon's eyes, but he quickly pulled himself together, crawled nimbly out of bed, and with short legs, pulled the driver and spoke, "Uncle driver, take me to Auntie Eloise." These days, Solomon was at the Rogers family's place, and they were making all sorts of excuses and excuses not to let Solomon see Eloise Thompson. If my mother blames me, tell her I told you to take Solomon there." With that, Solomon followed the driver and left.
...
On Eloise Thompson's side, a phone call suddenly disturbed her easily calmed down mood.
What did Hector Rogers want to say when he approached her?
Various mixed emotions flooded through Eloise Thompson's mind and about half an hour later, there was a ruckus outside and Eloise Thompson walked out in confusion just to hear the voices of the crowd coming in. "Whose baby is this? So cute!"
"I want to pinch his face so bad! It's so good looking too!"
"Who are you here to see, little friend?"
Eloise Thompson was wondering when she heard Solomon's well-behaved voice come in, "I'm here to see my Auntie Eloise."
In the middle of the crowd, a cute face of the little one showed up and Eloise Thompson was shocked to see Solomon running into his company.
Solomon also saw Eloise Thompson and he immediately darted over.
"Auntie Eloise, it's been a long time!"
Solomon had been missing Eloise Thompson for a few days, but the Rogers family were in charge and Hector Rogers wasn't coming to pick him up, so he had to stay at home.
Layla Davidson on the side was aware of Solomon and she didn't expect Solomon from the Rogers family to be here either. Looking at the intimate pair, Layla Davidson pretended to look and tease, "Eloise, is this your baby?"
The colleagues on the sidelines didn't know it, but thought Eloise Thompson and Solomon looked a lot like mother and son, and everyone followed suit, asking, "Yes, Eloise, is this your child? So cute."
"Eloise I didn't realise you had a child! Does the kid have a girlfriend? Want to consider a baby date with my daughter."
Looking at the crowd, Eloise Thompson was embarrassed and hastily spoke up to explain, "No, it's a child of a friend's family."
With that, she spoke to Layla Davidson again, "Manager Layla, can I take half a day off?"
Layla Davidson naturally agreed in one fell swoop.
Then Eloise Thompson walked down the stairs with Solomon in her arms and then spoke up and asked, "Solomon, what brings you here?"
