Love Comes To Me
Chapter 1146: He's my life

Eloise gripped her phone tightly, the room so quiet that only her breathing could be heard.

"Well?" Bergerian's soft voice came from the other side of the phone.

Eloise closed her eyes, her teeth biting her bottom lip before a long breath escaped her lips, "Good."

Bergerian laughed softly, "Okay then, I'll wait for you."

With that, the phone hung up.

Eloise took the phone off and sat on the bed for a few moments before getting up and walking out of the room.

Edgar finished his work and came out of the study just in time to see Eloise coming out of the room.

"Eloise, I thought you said you were ... going to bed?" When she approached, Edgar noticed that she didn't look very well and his smile instantly faded as he asked with concern, "What's wrong?"

"Bergerian reached out to me." Eloise stopped in front of him and told him everything that had just happened.

Edgar's brow furrowed as he listened, "So you said yes to him?"

"I had no other choice." Eloise said, "I was afraid I'd never see Hector again."

The thought of the possibility was so hard she could barely breathe.

If Bergerian hadn't said that Hector would never return, she wouldn't have agreed to see him.

Even though she knew she was in danger with this trip, she still wanted to take the risk.

It was just that...

"I'm sorry, cousin, to have to worry you all again."

She was most guilty of keeping her family and friends on their toes because of what had happened to her.

Edgar reached out and put a hand on her shoulder, the corner of his mouth curving up in a soft reassuring voice, "Don't blame yourself, we should be worried about you. It's just that you promised Bergerian like that, and I'm afraid he's just lying to you."

"That's why I came to see you." Eloise looked at him steadily, "I didn't want to let Bergerian call it what he wanted."

Her eyes were particularly bright at the moment, and her expression unusually determined.

Edgar couldn't help but laugh, "When did you become so cunning?"

"It's not cunning, it's clever." Eloise retorted.

"Good, it's clever." Edgar mused for a moment and then said, "Tell you what, get Mr. Rowson and also Thomas and we'll work out a countermeasure together that will get Hector's whereabouts out of Bergerian's mouth and still get you out in one piece."

Eloise nodded, "Good."

...

Rowson stood up excitedly as soon as he heard Eloise agree to go see Bergerian, "No, you can't go see him!"

The voice was a little loud and startled several people in the room.

Edgar hurriedly spoke up to calm him down, "Mr. Rowson, don't worry, isn't that why I called you here to discuss this?"

Rowson took a deep breath and sat down.

Thomas looked at him, "Mr Edgar, do you have any ideas?"

Edgar thought for a moment and opened his lips, "Tell you what, we'll go with Eloise and if Bergerian insists on grabbing someone, we'll grab it from him."

At that, Rowson frowned, "Isn't that too risky? What if Bergerian gets angry and hurts Eloise?"

"So what do you have in mind?" Edgar asked instead of answering.

"My idea is that Eloise doesn't go and we replace Hector on our own."

"No way." Eloise rejected his offer, "Bergerian warned me that if I didn't go see him I'd never see Hector again in my life."

"You believe him?" Rowson asked.

"I'd rather believe him than not."

Whether what Bergerian said was true or not, she wanted to try, and maybe she would actually replace Hector.

"Eloise, you're being irrational." Rowson sighed, "What's the point of taking a chance on Bergerian like that, even if Hector is found, if something happens."

"As long as he gets back." Eloise no longer cared at all if she lived or died, she just wanted to get Hector back quickly.

"And have you thought about the baby, and your mother?" Rowson became emotional again, "Why can't you think for yourself first, is Hector that important to you?"

"Yes, he's important to me, he's my life. I wouldn't want to live without him." Eloise couldn't help but get worked up too.

She glared at him with red eyes, "Do you think I haven't thought about the baby, about my mother? That's why I've come to you guys to discuss what to do."

Edgar spoke up as the atmosphere became more and more uncomfortable, "Come on, calm down, both of you."

"Yes, Miss Eloise, Mr. Rowson said that because he was worried about you, so don't take it personally." Thomas also spoke up.

Eloise raised her hand and wiped her tears, "I know he means well, but can you put yourself in my shoes."

Rowson looked at her, even though his heart was clogged, he calmed down and apologised, "I'm sorry, I got carried away."

"It's okay, I got excited too." Eloise took a deep breath and smiled bitterly, "Better think about what to do quickly."

"Tell you what, you go alone and we'll wait for you outside." Edgar suggested.

Thomas nodded approvingly, "That'll work, better take your phone with you, when you ask where the prince is, you'll message us immediately and we'll rush in and rescue you." Their suggestion made Rowson laugh, "Aren't you guys thinking too easy about Bergerian? I'm sure he's thought of everything you've thought of."

"So what do you say?" Thomas asked him.

"

'..., of course."

"Don't say don't let Miss Eloise go." Thomas interrupted him.

Rowson lost his smile, "Don't worry guys, I don't think that way anymore. what Eloise decides to do, I just support it."

He said as he gazed deeply at Eloise.

"Thank you, Mr. Rowson."

It was a little unpleasant just now, but Eloise knew he was genuinely doing what was best for her.

"Instead of going to meet him, put an appointment to meet him outside, that way we can arrange for someone to be there first and protect Eloise if necessary," Rowson said. Edgar and Thomas looked at each other and laughed out loud, "Yes, that would be best."

"What if Bergerian doesn't want to?" Eloise asked worriedly.

"I don't think so." Rowson's tone was certain, "He's imperious about you and won't miss a chance to get you."

In his surmise, Curry's research carried to its final and most important part, Eloise was essential, so Bergerian was indeed imperative.

Eloise nodded, "Okay then, I'll give him the information now."

She pulled out her phone and messaged Bergerian in front of them.

A reply soon followed.

"Well?" Thomas asked anxiously.

Eloise clicked on it and looked up at them, curving her lips in a smile, "He said yes."

"So easy to say yes?" Thomas was in a bit of disbelief.

He had expected Bergerian to be cautious, but he hadn't expected such an easy yes.

"Now that he's said yes, all the more reason to be prepared for anything." Edgar looked at Rowson and Thomas.

That would be the way to keep Eloise protected.
