Love Comes To Me -
Chapter 1150: I don't like her
Josh hurriedly explained, "Maryam, that's not what I meant. I know that even if I say I'm sorry a million times, it won't erase the hurt I've done to you and Eloise." "That's good that you know."
Maryam didn't want to say anything more than, "You don't have to say anything, come and sit down, I haven't finished my breakfast yet."
Josh moved his mouth to say something else, but in the end he said nothing and just walked over and sat down.
Silence returned to the room, Maryam quietly eating her breakfast, Josh quietly watching, the atmosphere unusually harmonious.
Eloise peeked through the door to see what was inside and couldn't help but smile, closing the door softly again.
"What's up?"
A sudden voice behind her startled her and she turned to smack Edgar, saying unpleasantly, "Cousin, are you trying to scare me to death?"
Edgar raised an eyebrow, "I see you're sneaking around, what are you doing?"
"My dad's here." Eloise gestured to the hospital room, "Let's not go in there and disturb them."
"Your dad's here?" Edgar frowned, "That's not good, my parents have told me not to let that man near you and my aunt again."
He said and was about to open the door and go inside.
Eloise hurriedly stopped him and pulled him aside, saying helplessly, "My mum can't let go of my dad, so it's a good thing they're here so they can talk." "But he ..."
Edgar wanted to say how they could easily forgive Josh after all the things he had done to hurt them.
Eloise knew what he was going to say and spoke up before him, "Don't worry, we haven't forgiven him, we've just let it go."
"But is it good to leave him alone with his aunt?" Edgar was a little uneasy.
Eloise lost her laugh, "Don't worry, he won't hurt my mum again."
She had faith in Josh on that score.
Edgar then put his mind at ease, "That's good. So are we going straight home?"
"Well, go home. Don't I have to go see Bergerian?"
"It's not like it's today."
Eloise gave him a long look, "It's not today, so let's get ready first."
Edgar nodded, "That's true. Let's go back then."
"Good."
Eloise turned her head to look at the closed ward, a small smile lifting the corners of her mouth, hoping they could talk it over.
...
Edgar dropped Eloise off at home and went straight to the office.
As soon as Eloise walked into the villa, the two little ones came running over.
"Mummy, have you been to see Grandma?" Sweety asked in a milky voice.
Eloise knelt down and straightened her coat, saying softly, "Yes, what's wrong?"
"Then why don't you take us with you?" Sweety cocked her little head and looked at her in disbelief.
"Because it's early and you're all still up, so Mummy didn't take you."
"Oh. Then can you take me and my brother with you later? We want to see Grandma and Grand Great Grandpa too." Sweety beamed and blinked her big bright eyes. Eloise smiled, "Of course you can. Mummy will tell you when we go."
"Great." Sweety clapped her hands happily and Solomon laughed as well.
Eloise stroked both their heads, looked around and enquired, "Where's Auntie and Granny?"
"Grandma and Uncle said they were going to get some ingredients for the biscuits." Solomon replied.
"Oh." Eloise nodded and then laughed, "It's because you two love biscuits so much that your aunt and grandmother had to make a special trip."
Sweety beamed, "But my aunt and grandmother's biscuits are delicious."
"You can't eat too many of them." Eloise gently pinched her nose, "Come on, let's go upstairs and play."
The smile on Eloise's face slowly faded as she watched the two little ones walk upstairs hand in hand.
The thought of meeting Bergerian in a couple of days made her heart heavy.
I wonder if this time, she will be able to return safely...
Must cherish these two days.
When Brimlad got the ingredients back, she offered to help make the biscuits together.
"Are you sure?" Brimlad's eyes fell on her still healed arm, "I think I'll pass, go get some rest and I'll call you when the biscuits are done." Eloise shook her head, "No, I'll do you a favour."
"But your hands..."
"I can move my arm already, no problem."
To prove she could move her arm, Eloise lifted her hand and a wave of pain hit her, a fine Edwina frown.
She endured it and smiled, "Right, it's fine."
Brimlad didn't notice the difference she'd just made and took her word for it, "Alright, come and help then." "Okay."
Eloise followed her into the kitchen.
"Auntie, we'll make more this time, is that okay?" Eloise asked.
Brimlad glanced back at her, "Why? It tends to get damp if you make more and leave it, then it won't taste good."
"I want to give it to Bonnie to eat."
"Bonnie?" frowned Brimlad.
"That's Edwina's son. I thought you were hanging out with someone else. You didn't forget, did you?"
"I didn't forget. Make more of it then."
She looked a little reluctant and Eloise thought for a moment and asked tentatively, "Auntie, do you have something against Edwina?"
Brimlad poured flour into the container and asked, "Why do you ask?"
"Nothing, it just feels a bit odd." Eloise went to wash her hands, "Actually you don't have to worry too much about your cousin liking Edwina because that's not even going to happen." "You know all about that." Brimlad gave her an amused look, "What if you do like it?"
"Well ..." Eloise thought seriously, "I think it would be hard, with my cousin being so preoccupied with his career right now, he shouldn't want a girlfriend."
That didn't sit well with Brimlad, "That's not good, a career is a career, a girlfriend is still a girlfriend."
Eloise laughed, "Of course you will have a girlfriend, but you and your brother-in-law would be wise to reconsider the marriage."
In her opinion, Elva was not a good match for her cousin.
"Consider what?" Brimlad sighed, "What a nice girl Elva is, she couldn't be more suitable, both in terms of family and looks."
Eloise was silent for a few seconds and spoke cautiously, "Auntie, do you really know Elva, have you spent time with her? Aren't you afraid that her true character is different from what you see?" Brimlad frowned, "Eloise, I've noticed you've always had an opinion of Elva, do you dislike her?"
Eloise smiled, "Want to hear the truth or not?"
"Of course it's the truth, you child." Brimlad gave her a good-natured look.
Eloise shrugged and said frankly, "No, I don't like Elva."
She had seen Elva's arrogant, aggressive stance the first time they met, and she couldn't like it in any way.
