Love Comes To Me
Chapter 1162: The sound of gunfire

"And what if I take you back to Italy?" Lisa asked with a smile.

Eloise blushed instantly, if she was taken to Italy, she would be fish on the chopping block and at the mercy of others.

She had to replace a way to save herself before Thomas and the others came to her rescue.

She looked at the driver and Carl driving in front of her, her head spinning.

Before she could think of a way to save herself, the car braked suddenly and she was caught off guard when she slammed into the seat in front of her. The pain was so severe that she drew in a breath of cold air.

Lisa was in the same situation as her, but quickly sat back up and questioned sternly, "What's going on?"

Carl turned his head, "Ma'am, a car suddenly caught up with us from behind and stopped in front of us."

Lisa looked and indeed there was a car blocking the front of the car.

"Get down there and see what's going on." Lisa ordered.

"Yes."

Carl led the way out of the car and headed for the car in front of him.

But before he could get any closer, he saw Matthew get out of that car.

As soon as he saw Matthew, Carl's face changed abruptly and his steps stopped subconsciously.

"Carl, it seems you didn't take the gentleman's words to heart." Matthew approached and looked at him with a smirk.

Carl's entire face went white and he clenched his fists, his voice a little dry as he asked, "Is the gentleman in the car?"

Matthew raised an eyebrow, "Of course. Think about how you're going to explain that to the gentleman."

With that, Matthew looked up at Lisa in the car, the corners of his mouth curling, "You really think you can hide this from the gentleman? That's naive." He patted Carl on the shoulder and walked over and knocked on the window.

The window lowered, revealing Lisa's cold face.

Matthew bowed his head, "Ma'am."

"What brings you here?" Lisa asked.

"How madam got here is how we got here."

Matthew's answer annoyed Lisa and she snapped, "What kind of attitude is that? Don't you want to live?"

Matthew looked up at her with a sneer on his face and said, "No one in this world can touch me but you, sir." "Matthew!"

How dare a little assistant be so arrogant and not take her seriously!

Lisa's face turned red with anger and she glared at Matthew fiercely.

Matthew didn't care, "Madam, please get out of the car, the gentleman is in the car in front."

Now that the story was out, there was no need for her to hide it.

Lisa took a deep breath and turned her head to glare at Eloise, "You get out of the car too!"

Eloise obediently responded, "Okay."

She reached for the car door, her eyes dropping to hide the flash of light in them.

As soon as her feet hit the floor, she immediately pulled out and ran.

"Ma'am, the man has escaped!" Carl was the first to notice and shouted out.

Lisa turned her head and immediately shouted, "Get after them!"

Matthew gave chase, and as Carl passed Lisa, he only heard Lisa whisper, "We can't keep her."

Carl nodded and quickly chased after her.

Eloise turned around, saw Matthew and Carl catching up, and made a run for it with all her strength.

But she was a woman and not in the best of health, and her strength was no match for the two tall men. Seeing that she was about to be overtaken, she clenched her teeth and ran as hard as she could. Bang!

The sound of a gunshot suddenly rang out in the dry air.

Matthew saw a bullet fly past him and he turned his head in surprise, only to see Carl with a gun in his hand.

Oh no!

He turned his head back and quickened his pace to try and save Eloise, but it was too late, only to see the bullet pass through Eloise's shoulder.

She stumbled on her feet and fell heavily to the ground.

"Miss Eloise!" he exclaimed, running over to her.

It hurt so much.

Eloise tried to lift her hand to touch the wound, but the pain burned like fire and she moaned, her teeth clenching her bottom lip, her pretty face as white as paper, cold sweat pouring from her forehead. "Miss Eloise, just hold on, I'll get you to the hospital."

Matthew covered the wound with his hand, but the blood continued to pour out, blindingly red in the sunlight.

Carl came over and looked down at them both, the dark muzzle of his gun pointed at Eloise's brow.

"Carl, have you lost your mind?" Matthew roared.

Carl ignored his anger and his trigger finger moved.

"Damn it!" Matthew let out a low curse, dropped Eloise and lunged at Carl.

BANG!

Another shot rang out.

Carl was tackled to the ground by Matthew, the gun was fired towards the sky.

"Don't you want to fucking die?" Matthew swung his fist down hard at Carl's face, snatching the gun up in the process.

Not caring about the pain, Carl grabbed Matthew by the collar and with one force, the two switched positions.

But at the same time, Matthew pressed the gun against his brow and glared at him, gritting his teeth, "Don't you think I'm afraid to kill you."

Carl slowly stood up with his hands up.

Just then, two men came running from behind, one left and one right, and set him up.

Matthew rushed to his feet to check on Eloise.

"Miss Eloise," he called out several times, but there was no response.

"Get out of the way!"

Bergerian, who had run over, bellowed, and Matthew hurriedly stepped aside.

Bergerian picked up the unconscious Eloise, a face that was frighteningly grim.

"Matthew, go and get the car."

"Yes!"

Matthew rushed to the car.

Lisa, also under control, saw Matthew coming and yelled, "You tell Bergerian that when we get back to Italy, I'll make sure the Agnelli Family punishes him." Matthew just gave her a look and ignored it.

He pulled up beside Bergerian and hurriedly got out and opened the back seat door.

Bergerian sat in with Eloise in his arms.

"Go to the nearest hospital." Bergerian ordered.

Matthew answered "yes" and started the car towards the hospital.

...

Thomas arrived at the hospital thinking that Eloise was still in the ward.

When he went up there, Eloise was not there.

Hector's mother asked suspiciously, "I thought you were here to pick up Eloise, why did you come up here?"

Thomas frowned, "I came up to see Miss Eloise."

"She went down to wait for you a long time ago, why? Didn't see anyone?"

"No. I didn't see Miss Eloise."

Hector's mother was impatient, "Then call and replace out."

Thomas reacted by pulling out his phone and calling Eloise's number, but strangely enough, there was no answer.

"What's wrong?" Hector's mother asked when she saw him hang up.

Thomas furrowed his brow, "No one's answering."

When she heard there was no answer, Hector's mother had a bad feeling in her heart, "How could there be no answer? She just told me to go downstairs and wait for you." "Ma'am, don't worry, I'll go back down and check. Perhaps Miss Eloise has just gone away on some errand."

Thomas reassured her and turned to run towards the lift.

He pressed the lift several times, unease written all over his face.

It had been careless.

He had forgotten that Bergerian and the others were still in the country, in Kyoto, but there was no guarantee they would come to City J.

In case Bergerian and the others came, then Miss Eloise would be in danger.
