Love Comes To Me
Chapter 1163: Doing your best to resuscitate

Thomas reached the ground floor and headed straight for the car park.

Two nurses walked past him, only to hear one of them say, "I heard that a woman with a gunshot wound was brought in from the emergency department." At that, Thomas subconsciously stopped in his tracks.

"Really? How is it possible to have a gun in private hands?"

"It's true, my friend just sent me a message saying that the blood keeps pouring out and I can't stop it."

"Wait." Thomas ran over to stop them.

The other woman looked up at him in wonder.

"Where's the emergency department, please?"

"Just up ahead." The other man pointed in the direction.

Thomas said thank you and lifted his steps to run in that direction.

Somehow, he somehow felt that the woman the nurse was talking about was Miss Eloise.

...

Eloise was taken into the operating theatre.

"The injured person has lost a lot of blood and is showing signs of shock, we will do our best to resuscitate her."

This is what the doctor said to Bergerian before he went into the operating theatre.

"If you can't save her, I'll have the whole hospital buried with you!" Bergerian gave the doctor a deadly stare.

A cold sweat broke out on the doctor's forehead as the suffocating feeling of pressure hit him.

With that, and without waiting for Bergerian to say anything, he hurriedly turned and went into the operating theatre.

"Sir, take a seat next to me first, the operation may take an hour or two." Matthew said cautiously.

Bergerian didn't even look at him, he turned and walked straight to a bench and sat down. Matthew hurried to follow.

As soon as he approached, Bergerian's cold voice rang out, "Get rid of Carl."

Matthew's face paled at that, "Sir, Carl he was just confused, you give him one more chance, he ..."

"That's enough." Bergerian interrupted him coldly and looked up, his chilling gaze directed at him, "I've given him a chance, he's the one who doesn't appreciate it." "Sir..." Matthew tried to plead on Carl's behalf, but Bergerian raised his hand to stop him.

He could only bow his head respectfully, "Yes, I know."

Thomas ran to the emergency room and was told that the injured man had been taken to the operating theatre, and he ran again to the operating theatre.

As soon as he ran outside the operating theatre, he saw Bergerian and Matthew.

"It's really you guys." He gasped raggedly, looking at them in disbelief.

Following that, he turned his head to the closed door of the operating theatre and gulped, "Don't tell me it's really my Miss Eloise in there."

He cast a questioning glance at Bergerian.

Bergerian glanced at him and dropped his eyes, not making a sound.

Silence meant acquiescence.

Thomas laughed, a sarcastic smile, "Why won't you leave my Miss Eloise alone? Because of you, my Miss Eloise has suffered so much!"

At the end of his sentence, Thomas became emotional and his voice rose.

"Watch the tone of your voice." Matthew warned out loud.

Thomas clenched his fists and glared at Bergerian with hatred.

Bergerian stood up and walked over to him, saying coldly, "I didn't want this to happen either."

Thomas sneered, "Just because you say you don't want it to happen, it won't happen?"

He pointed to the operating theatre and continued, "My Miss Eloise is lying in there right now, how do you want to explain that?"

Bergerian turned, his gaze falling on the closed operating theatre door and sighed, "I'm sorry this happened, I've had the person who hurt her dealt with, there won't be a next time." "Mr Bergerian, if you really admire my Miss Eloise, please leave her alone." Thomas pleaded.

"And if I say no?" Bergerian inclined his head and looked at him askance.

"Then it's up to you." Thomas met his gaze without weakness.

Bergerian laughed, "Fine, see what I can do."

With that, he gave Matthew a wink.

Matthew instantly understood and walked quickly towards Thomas.

Thomas steps back alertly, taking out his mobile phone to dial Rupert as he does so.

But Matthew was quicker, kicking his phone off the floor with his leg.

Thomas looks at the phone on the floor and sidesteps Matthew's fist sharply.

The two men fought, you punching and me kicking, not even close.

Rupert picked up the phone, "Thomas, what's up?"

His voice came out of the receiver and Thomas heard it and shouted, "Mr Rupert, Miss Eloise is in resuscitation in the hospital's operating theatre, send someone over here now." Bergerian blushed and hurried over to pick up the phone and hang up straight away.

"Thomas what are you talking about?" Rupert didn't hear him and tried to ask for clarification, but there was a beep.

It had hung up.

He took the phone off and looked warily at the darkened screen.

"What's wrong?" Aisly, leaning against the bed, asked suspiciously.

Rupert turned his head to look at her, thought for a moment, and said, "Aisly, I have to go out for something, so if you need anything, ask your sister-in-law or Mum for help." "Where are you going?" Aisly asked.

"I'll be back soon." Rupert touched her face and got up to stride out.

If he'd heard the phone call correctly, Thomas was talking about his sister-in-law being resuscitated in the operating room.

Right or not, he had to go and see.

To be on the safe side, Rupert called for some bodyguards.

As soon as he reached the floor where the operating theatre was located, Rupert saw Thomas pinned against the wall from a distance.

He rushed over and sternly questioned, "What is going on here?"

"Mr Rupert, you're finally here." Thomas, not caring about the pain in his body, rushed to say, "Miss Eloise is still being resuscitated, and that man is Bergerian." Rupert looked over towards Bergerian, who also turned his head just in time.

Sword brows furrowed, Rupert shot a sideways glance at the bodyguards behind him, who nodded and stepped forward to round up Matthew, who was controlling Thomas. "Let go." Bergerian's voice came.

Matthew immediately released his grip and coldly scanned the circle of men who were holding him.

Thomas rubbed his sore arm and said, "You're no match for him, all of you stand down."

Several of the bodyguards backed away at his words.

Matthew quickly returned to Bergerian's side.

"Are you alright?" Rupert asked with concern.

Thomas shook his head, "I'm fine."

If he hadn't been negligent, he wouldn't have let Matthew get away with it, it would have been a great shame in his life.

Rupert nodded and walked over, stopping two paces away from Bergerian with a sneer, "Mr Bergerian, do you think this is Italy?"

Looking at the face that bore some resemblance to Hector's, Bergerian was inexplicably annoyed and he snorted, "So much for your Rogers family."

The disdain in his tone irritated Rupert.

"It's not your turn to say what the Rogers family is like, but you won't be taking my sister-in-law away from me today." Rupert said with exceptional clarity, word by word. Bergerian narrowed his eyes, "Who said I was taking her away?"

Now that Eloise was so badly injured, he wasn't cruel enough to toss her and take her away.
